Mary- "Can you hold her for a few minutes? I need to pack her bag" I asked as I handed Joan to Steve

Lissy- "Dad can I wear the new one that you got me"?

Doris- "I'm here as well. We should go before Steve gets mad"

Joan- "Uncle Steve want to build a sand castle with me"?

Lissy- "But what about surfing"?
Steve- "We will get to that later"
Lissy- "But......you promised" I said in a hurt voice
Steve- "I also promise Joan that I would build a sandcastle with her"

Lissy- "Don't feel like it" I replied in a irritated voice

Lissy- "I'm not in the mood" I said getting annoyed

Joan- I go up to her and say "Listen to Uncle Steve"
Lissy- "Go away" I said
Steve- "Joan lets leave her alone. Why don't we go build that sand castle"

Lissy- I watching them build the sandcastle and I'm feeling jealous again. Im hurt that he wants to spend time with Joan and not me. Yeah i should've apologize but it's not fair
-Awhile later-
Joan- "Mommy look at mine and Uncle Steve sandcastle"
Mary- "Its beautiful"
Joan- "Thanks. Mommy I got to go to the bathroom"
Mary- "Okay...lets go"
Doris- "Ill come with you" I said sensing that Steve wanted to talk to Lissy privately
Steve- I go over where Lissy is sitting and I crouch down and clear my throat
Lissy- I look up but then look down
Steve- "What's with your attitude"? I asked
Lissy- "it's nothing" I replied

Steve- "You know you could've hurt Joan feelings"?

Lissy- I lift my head towards him but keep my eyes off of his gaze at me
Steve- "Eyes are up here" I said as I snapped my fingers. When she doesn't look at me in the eyes and lift her head more so that she is looking straight at me.
Lissy- I try to look away but I can't
Steve- "I don't know where this attitude came from but I want you to stop it before you find yourself in trouble. Clear"?
Lissy- I nodded my head
Steve- "Verbal answer"
Lissy- "Yes Sir"
Steve- "Good. I also want you to apologize to Joan when she gets back"
Lissy- "But"

Mary- "We're back"
Steve- "Joan, Lissy has something she like to say to you"
Lissy- "Sorry for being rude to you earlier"
Joan- "It's fine. Want to build a sandcastle with me"?
Lissy- I was about to say no when I saw a look from my Dad that told me to or else. "sure"

Joan- "Your doing it all wrong"
Lissy- I rolled my eyes
Joan- Uncle Steve we need your help. She doing it all wrong"
Steve- "You dont need my help"
Joan- "Yeah we do. She not doing I'm telling her to do"

Lissy- "Thank you" I sighed in relief

Steve- "Want to go surfing Lissy"?.

Steve- "Go grab our surf boards from the car"
Lissy- "Okay"
Joan- "Me want to join you"

Steve- "Your too young to be actually surfing"

Mary- "Why don't we go finish that sandcastle"?

Joan- "I wanna go surfing" I said as I started to cry
Mary- "We should head back"
Lissy- "Why"? I asked when I came back with the surf boards
Mary- "Joan is getting tired. She also skipped her nap today"

Mary- "I'm sorry sweetie. Maybe later you and Steve can go surfing"
