"READY? LET'S GO!"
Cassandra claps her hands, brining them down to her sides. Taking off into a dead sprint across the mat in the big arena. She starts into a cartwheel, finally ending into a lay out with a full twist. Clapping her hands to show the crowd and judges that she ended her stunt.
Turning around on the corner of the mat, she waited for her cue to go into her fly routine. The girls on her teams line up and all taking turns doing back flips. Landing into an uneven line, girls running around, making dance movements with their hands, while the front girls jump and land on their knees to do a little dance move.
Cassandra takes off, landing in a cartwheel and doing a couple backflips to land into the arms of the girls that were her spotters.
In Cassandra's mind, she knew she couldn't mess this up. She needed Forks to stay an All Star Cheer Team. The girls throw her up into the air, making her do a basket toss. She lands safely back into their arms. Going up again, they throw her up, till she does a little summersault on their hands. She lifts her leg into a heel stretch, and switching to a scorpion. The girls lift her up higher. The final was coming and Cassandra smiled large and before she could blink, she was thrown into the air. Cassandra twisted her body into Arabian 1 1/2 basket toss.
Landing back into her spotters arms, she flips out into a summersault on the mat, standing up and clapping her hands, bring her hands down to her hips - standing in a sassy stance. The song comes to the end, Cassandra is smiling, breathing somewhat heavily. The crowd is silent, before erupting into a loud cheer. Cassandra ears were hurting from the amount of screaming, but she was so glad to be back in the competitive nature of cheerleading.
The girls smile, all waving and doing flips as they exit the stage. Cassandra runs back, waving and smiling at the crowd. Finally behind the curtain, she smiles and makes her way slowly to her bag place by the mirrors that she did her makeup in earlier.
"Cassandra! Awesome 1 1/2 Arabian, was the basket toss even supposed to be apart of the routine?"
Cassandra takes her water bottle out of her bag, taking a drink before turning around to her teammate Samantha, "actually no, but I wanted to show case we can do more. Besides we are level 8 all star."
Sam smiles, "totally bad-ass. I'm glad you're on the team. You're one of the best."
"ALL TEAMS BACK TO THE STAGE FOR ANNOUNCING OF WINNERS."
Cassandra smiles and puts her arm around Sam's shoulders, "lets go!"
Samantha giggles, letting the 5'0 girl pull her to the front of the stage. Grabbing hands with Sam and another teammate of her's, she starts to ignore the announcer. Only praying to get first place. It's the only win to get before they can go to the NCA All Star National Championship in March.
"And first place goes to... FORKS HIGH SCHOOL!"
Cassandra let's out a unexpected breath of air, jumping up and down with her teammates. She turns around, smiling grabbing the trophy from one of the judges. Thanking them for the win.
Lugging her cheer bag over her shoulder, she hugs her teammates, telling them she'll see them in practice in a week. Smiling, she looks down at her phone, seeing a picture of Emmett and a text from him.
Emmett:
Heard you killed it, so proud of you!
Cassandra:
Thx baby, wish you were here to see me. See you later tonight!
Closing her phone, she looks up to see Caleb and Rosalie standing next to Rosalie's BMW. Taking off running, she hops into the arms of Caleb, Rose rubbing her back.
"Good job out there, you looked amazing!"
Sliding out of Caleb's arms, "thanks Rose! I was so damn nervous."
Caleb chuckled as her slings an arm around the small girl's shoulders, "I'll never say again that cheer isn't a sport. That was total bad-ass, shortie."
She chuckles, leaning into Caleb, "thanks, Tree. I'm excited. We go to Florida for the national championship in March."
Rosalie grabs her cheer bag off of Cassandra's shoulder and opening up the trunk of the BMW, "you look so cute! I need to take a picture for Emmett, I'll send it to him."
Cassandra looks down at her outfit. Her cheer jacket was a warm fleece zip up, with a sequins cheer megaphone on the back with "CHEER 2006" and her name, "CASSANDRA" on the right front side above her chest in glitter stitching, with pants matching, "thank you!"
Smiling, Rosalie lifts her phone up, "smile!"
Cassandra smiles, showing off her pom-poms she hasn't put in the back of the car.
"Okay, you look so cute!"
Cassandra giggles, as she sees Caleb out of the corner of her eye, "let's go home! I hope Bella isn't there."
Rosalie groans, opening the passenger door, "god, tell me about it. Edward this, Edward that. Christ."
Caleb opens the door for Cassandra, as Cassandra throws her pom-poms in the backseat, "why what happened?"
"Well, after you left to come out here to Oregon, she hasn't left the house. I think she feels left out because you're always around and she isn't."
Cassandra shrugs at Caleb's observation, "well, I don't give a fuck."
Rosalie laughs, sliding in the car, proceeding to Caleb to rush to the drivers seat, "I know you don't, but let's get you home!"
Caleb starts the car, putting on the R&B radio station. Cassandra sighs softly, leaning her head against the window.
Cassandra walks into the door, to only be picked up into a hug by Emmett, "baby!"
Cassandra giggles as Emmett plants kisses all over her face, "I miss you too, Em."
"Don't leave for that long again."
Carrying a giggling Cassandra up the stairs, she waves as she sees her family in the living room. "Hi guys!"
Michael gets up, "baby sis! Congrats on the win! I knew you would kick ass!"
Caleb jumps on the couch, taking a seat on top of it, "dude! You should've seen it, she was thrown in to the air, she did this cool little flip and a twist!"
Alice squeals, "that sounds so cool!" Turning her head to Rose, "do you have a video?"
Rosalie smiles, raising her hand that had a camera in it, "oh you bet I do!"
Cassandra smiles at her family, watching Alice, Rosalie, Michael and Caleb crowd around the small camera screen, "thanks guys."
Emmett chuckles, "by the way, thanks for leaving us with a whining Bella."
Jasper smiles softly at the small girl, "I can't believe you punched her."
"She fucking deserved it. She pushed me to James and he broke my wrist. She's lucky I didn't do worse."
Alice chuckles, pulling away from the video of Cassandra cheering and sings out, "here comes the other human!"
Bella and Edward walk in, an arm wrapped around Bella's waist. Bella waves shyly at the Cullen family, as the others around the camera just look up at her and go back to the screen.
Cassandra smiles at Bella, "hey nice eye, what happened there buddy?"
The room goes silent, any sound was cut off, as the vampires watch the two human girls stand off.
Bella glares at the small girl, "oh I don't know Cassandra. You're lucky -"
Cassandra moves away from Emmett and takes a huge step towards the plain girl, "I'm lucky what Bella? Because if you want to get bold and try me again, I'll gladly give you another black eye."
Bella looks at Edward, "you are just going to let her talk to me -"
"Oh, Cassandra, you look so cute! I love the bow." Esme's sweet voice echoes through the living room, pointing towards the blue and yellow glitter bow on the top of Cassandra's head, "Hello, Bella dear, how are you?"
Bella smiles at Esme, "I'm good. How about you?"
Esme smiles back, "I'm good, oh! Your eye looks better, thank goodness for ice."
Bella glares past Esme head - Cassandra was glad Esme's back was turned away from her - at the small fairy like girl. Cassandra smirks and wiggles her fingers at Bella. Emmett grabbing her tiny hand in his huge one, trying to stop the situation for escalating even worse. And Emmett knew once The Beast is unleashed, there's no stopping Cassandra, and that's one of the reasons he loves her.
"Oh Cassandra, let me get a picture of you and Emmett. You look so cute in your cheer warmups. Rosalie, go get her Pom-poms."
Edward grabs a jealous Bella and tugs her away from the family, leaving Cassandra to lean into Emmett with her Blue and Yellow poms as Emmett smiles down at his favorite girl in the world, and FLASH, the camera goes off.
