Chapter 2: The Start of Something New
After signing the contract of becoming a trainee, some staffs of JYPE arranged my papers since I’m not a Korean citizen. After weeks, everything was fine and I was able to transfer in their dormitories. When I was about to enter the room assigned to me, I can see other trainees there. I knocked and then opened the door. When I entered,
Why are there no people here? It’s kinda weird. Oh, maybe they are in their training. There’s a spare place there. That may be my place.
I fixed my things and looked at my schedule.
10am: report to company
10am-12pm: practice/lessons
1-5 classes a day, 3h each: singing, dancing, language, instrument, acrobat lessons
10pm: leave company
after 10pm: extra practice for showcases/monthly evaluations held by trainers in the company
I think I’m going to enjoy this since I’ve already experienced such things during my high school days. Oh I miss my high school days.
Minutes later I heard some noise, maybe it’s them. They entered and looked at me.
“Oh, new trainee?” a girl asked. I just nodded and smiled.
“Hi! I’m Cecilia Boey. You can call me ‘C’. You are?” she asked.
“Hello, I’m Rhianne.”
“Hi there, Rhianne! I’m Park Jisoo and this is Song Minyoung. Welcome!”
“Thank you very much.”
They are my roomies. They are kind and I love being with them. I already found company in them. I think I’m really going to enjoy this thing.
“Ahm, Rhianne, when did you audition in JYP? How was your feeling?” Jisoo asked me.
“I didn’t really audition here in JYP.”
“WHAT?!” they exclaimed.
“You were chosen by JYP?” C said.
I nodded and they started clapping.
“So it means you’re really good. Do you sing or dance?” C asked.
“I sing and dance. But I prefer singing and playing the guitar.”
“Since you’re a new trainee and our new roomie, you should give us a sample.” C said.
It’s hard to believe that I couldn’t see

C started to sing with me and we created a great harmony.

So lonely before, I finally found
What I’ve been looking for.
“Daebak! You’re awesome. Your voice is so cool. I love to hear it. Can you sing me a lullaby?” Minyoung said.
And all of us laughed. We were able to have some short conversation and then we rested since we still have our training tomorrow.
10am the next day…
“To all our new trainees, I am welcoming you. I am Lee Ha Neul, the head of the trainers here. To all those who were only forced to attend the training now, you may leave. Forcing yourself that are against your will not help yourself. So are there anyone here forced?”
We all shook our heads.
“Good. Since you are all new, we’re going to have a tour here in the place.”
Today, I was not with my roommates because they have trained earlier so meaning they have different trainers. We were following her while she was showing us the dance hall, the classrooms and the music room. While we are on our way to the music room, a boy shouted.
“Annyeong Noona!”
I searched for that voice. Then suddenly I heard some giggles beside me. Then I saw Jr of GOT7.
“Oh Jr, what are you doing here? By the way, guys, this is Jr of GOT7.”
We all greeted him.
“Oh. Rhianne, right? So this is your first day in the training?” Jr asked.
He remembered me. I’m going to die. Kyaaa~ I smiled at him.
“Oh you remembered me. Yes, it’s my first day.” I answered.
“You know her Jr?” Ha Neul-ssi asked.
“Oh yes, ahm, not actually. Haha. I just met her once. Noona, come and visit us on the dance area later. Bring foods. Haha. I’m going.” Jr said.
He bowed down at us then before he leaves, he smiled at me. Yes, me. His eyes O.o
We continued walking, and my co-trainee asked me a lot of questions about Jr. To be honest, I’m not close with him. Like what he said, I just met him once. We didn’t even have the chance to talk to each other.
I explained it to them during our break time.
“Rhianne-a!” someone shouted.
It was C.
“Have you had your lunch? If not yet, come with us we’re eating lunch together.” C said.
“Aww, I just finished eating.” I said.
“Who’s with you?” she asked.
“I’m with my co-trainee.” I said.
“Ooh, looks like you’re having a good time with them. Okay. Next time, we’ll eat together. I’ll be going.” she said while waving her hands.
“Eat well!”
“Yah, she’s Cecilia Boey, right?” my co-trainee asked me.
“Yes, how’d you know?” I asked.
“Don’t you know the rumors? In a year or maybe a few months from now she’ll be debuting as a part of a girl group, the 6mix.”
“Eh? Good for her. I think she deserves it.”
She’s going to debut soon? How lucky. She’ll be able to fulfill her dreams. I’m happy for her.
The rest of the day was fine. We started to have some warm-ups and also I started my Korean lesson.
When I returned to the dorm, I rested same with the others. It seems like they are very tired from training. I’m going to enjoy this life. I promise.
