I awoke first, the boys were still asleep, so I quietly got out of the bed and went to have a shower. We were meeting Sam at 12 and had to be out of here by 11.30am anyway. I walked out after a nice shower, in a towel, Kane sat up,
"Baby girl...we could have showered together," I laughed rolling my eyes. Wyatt and Joel sat up. I changed into some short shorts and a blue vesty crop top, then went to the door,
"And where are you going?" Joel asked,
"For a walk" I answered, they all looked at me, "I wont be long, just be ready when I come back, we're meeting Sam at 12 and 11.30am, we've got to be out of here...love you" and I walked out. I wanted to see if anyone was in reception, I'm sure there would be questions about last night.
I was right.
The same woman from last night, well early hours of the morning, was sat there, she saw me and smiled; it was a smile which said, 'I want to ask you about what happened, but I'm too embarrased to ask'. So I said,
"I'm so sorry about last night, all the commotion. I just never expected my boyfriend to come back so quickly, then with my brother, God, such a mess"
"It...It was...It wasn't your fault" She stammered,
"I suppose, but I mean, I shouldn't have been cheating behind my boyfriends back. I mean, none of them knew I was pregnant. I just...ergh, lets not get into it...but between you and me, he's a bit of a bore in the bed department, no wonder he isn't the father"
"Well...I...well" She spluttered,
"But if you would have just gave my other lover a condom, then none of the commotion would have kicked off, but anyway...see you," I turned and walked off. Then I heard someone laugh, I spun around,
"Angelo," The receptionist looked at us wide eyed, probably thinking, another boyfriend of mine, I pulled him outside "What are you doing here? I swear you're stalking me," he smiled,
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not," we sat on the bench,
"You do know this is California, not Colarado, I know they both begin with a C Angelo, but they're in opposite directions" He laughed and said,
"Don't be mad"
"Why am I going to be mad?"
"I lied to you. I'm not going to Colarado, my brother does live there, but I'm just having a bit of fun"
"Where'd you live? How old are you?" I asked,
"Wow...and that isn't stalkerish at all," I smiled.
"I'm 23 and I just got a job, which means I have to move to Texas, to Galveston city" I looked at him.
"Well Mr stalker. I guess I'll be seeing you around"
"You live in Texas?" I nodded "Galveston city?"
"Sure do"
"Awesome, so can I ask you how old you are?"
"19" his mouth shot open "Honey you'll catch flies"
"I honestly thought you were like my age"
"Thanks" I grinned "Do you want to have breakfast with us? After all, you are a loner"
"Your fiancee wouldn't like it, but I don't want to intrude anyway"
"You won't be, look, meet us in the diner next door in 15 minutes and anyway, you're older than him, stop being a pussy," I got up and walked back into the motel.
"Where have you been, the moon?" Kane said,
"Why would I go there, it's way to close," he softened and said
"Sorry. I just worry about you that's all"
"It's okay. I was just talking to Angelo"
"That guy that you met in San Angelo?" Joel asked
"Yep and he's having breakfast with us and before you say anything, he's going to be there and you're all going to be nice". I then walked into the bathroom, hearing them start bitching.
"Did I mention he's moving to Galveston. Oh and he's 23 if you wanted to know," I told them as I walked out and picked up my bags "Ready?" I could tell they were all annoyed but tough shit.
We'd shoved our stuff in the truck and had just walked into the diner at 11am and sat down. Soon to be joined by Angelo, I smiled at him and waved him over,
"Come sit, we haven't ordered anything yet"
"I don't want to intrude babe," Kane didn't seem to happy about him calling me babe.
"They don't mind, budge up baby"
"There's no room," Kane said bluntly.
"Fine.bI'll just sit on your lap then," he mellowed then and I climbed and sat on him, he wrapped his protective arms around me,
"Look, you and Lyric are getting married, I'm not a threat okay. I know you don't like me Kane, but I'm just a friend and that's all"
"Angelo, you didn't need to say that," I said, he smiled,
"I'm a good guy"
"I know you are"
"Sorry mate," Kane said, "Are we cool?"
"Yes, we're cool" I looked at Wyatt and Joel. If Kane was okay with him, so were they.
"Now can we purlease order breakfast, because I'm starving," they all laughed, even Angelo.
"Rics, I honestly dont know where you put it," Wyatt said,
"My toes" I replied picking up the menu, as they all laughed at me...AGAIN!!
10 minutes later...
"One ham steak and eggs, one Ruby's buttermilk hot cakes combo, two breakfast burgers and one Denver omelette" The waitress said, putting our food in front of us "And one side of Ruby's bacon"
Mmm Food. I tucked into my hotcakes with extra bacon as Kane and Joel dived into their breakfast burgers (And they tell me I eat a lot). Wyatt went for the ham steak and chips, whilst Angelo the Denver omlette. I must admit, I did try a bit of eveyones and it was all so mouthwatering. But I'm still not exploding. My phone buzzed in my pocket.
SAM: HEYA HUN COACH JST DROPPED ME OFF OUTSIDE RUBYS DINER WHER R U?? XX
ME: IN THE DINER COME IN ND SUPRISE JOEL XX
SAM: OK XX
I slipped my phone back into my pocket, everyone was watching me. I saw Sam coming to the door, so I kissed Kane so that he couldn't see, he cupped my face and kissed me back, then I heard,
"Guess who," I pulled away from Kane who was grinning and saw Sam stood behind Joel, she'd covered his eyes,
"Hmmmm let me see...Sam," He got up and hugged her "Gosh I've missed you"
"Who is she?" Angelo asked
"Sam, Joel's girlfriend whose joining us for the remainder of the trip" I replied
"I'd best be on my way then, see you around beautiful" He said,
"You can stay"
"I'm good, have fun, I'm sure we'll meet again. You have my number," he put his money on the table and walked out. I slid off Kane's lap, Wyatt came and sat by me, so Joel and Sam could sit by eachother.
"So happy you're here Sam" I smiled,
"Same, so what have I missed and who was that cute guy?" Joel looked at her, I laughed,
"His name's Angelo and he's 23 and I know he's sooo cute," Kane looked at me, I just smiled,
"I want to know everything you've been up too"
"Everything?" She nodded
"Including any girls or women Joel's eyed up" That reminds me, who was the random chick hanging off his arm yesterday night, well early this morning. You know what I mean. "We'll tell you in the car" then looked at Joel "Who that chick on your arm when we pulled the prank?"
"What prank? What chick?" Sam said,
"I paid her to walk in with me, arm in arm, well I said I'd pay but she didn't take it"
"Did you kiss her?" Sam asked,
"No. Sam how could you even ask that, I love you"
"I know. I was just checking" She grinned "So please tell me about the prank and everything else you've gotten up to".
So we did, all adding our own little parts. It shouldn't have taken 2 HOURS to explain, but it did! I guess we must have exaggerated just a bit.
...
3pm.
The car windows were wound downn and we were zooming down the highway singing;

"That's so cute. Joel why didn't you say that?" Sam said
"Because Kane beat me to it" He replied
"That's because I'm awesome" Kane said
"You like to think" Wyatt smiled
"He is awesome" I said,
"Baby girl, you stuck up for me and not Wyatt," I rolled my eyes, not this again! I thought,
"Joking, I love you"
"Love you too".
