Amelia Smith
"I want to take you on a date," Liam says.
I look at him and roll my eyes.
"We went out three days ago."
"Yeah but that was our first date. It was something to mark the beginning of us dating and to show you that you're mine."
"Okay but please focus on this project now. You know it's the last part!"
"Nerd." He rolls his eyes at me.
"Hey! Don't call me that!" I smack his arm.
"Don't call me that!" He mimics.
"I do not sound like that!" I glare at him.
"Yes, you do. Come here." He pats his lap.
I love it when he says that to me.
"No, I'm joining the others. Bye." I get up only to feel a smack on my butt.
Unbelievable!
I turn around and give Liam another hard glare. He grins at me like it's the proudest thing he has ever done.
I walk out of the room and go to Rob's living room where the rest of our friends are.
Earlier today, Ian complained about all of us not spending time together so Rob suggested that we all come to his house.
He is the only one that lives alone amongst us. Well, Jamie also does but he doesn't hang out with us anymore.
"So Amelia did you and Liam have fun in that room?" Brian winks at me.
"Brian! Why are you so dirty?" I exclaim.
"Stop ruining my hair, Thompson!" Nicole groans at Ian who is twisting her hair. She is sitting on a couch and he is standing behind her.
"I'm not ruining it, I'm styling it." He says and I chuckle.
"Where are Emily and Colton?" I ask randomly.
"You and Liam are not the only ones that get to lock up your self in a room, Mills." Ian rolls his eyes.
"Whatever," I say and sit close to Brian.
"I'm so hungry." He says.
"Me too." I stretch myself and put my legs over his lap.
"Get off."
"Nope." I stuck my tongue out.
"Have you watch Spiderman: Homecoming?" He asks looking into his phone.
"Nope but I really want to. I'm a huge Marvel fan." I said.
"Really? Me too! Who's your favorite Avenger?" He asks with a smile, getting more into the conversation.
"Thor."
"Yeah, Thor is cool but mine is Black widow."
"Why? She's not that cool."
"Yeah but she's smoking hot." He licks his lips.
I roll my eyes and put my legs down. " I'm going to see if Rob needs help."
I stroll to the kitchen and I see Rob stirring something in the pan.
"Hey, kit kat."
"I told you to stop calling me that, Rob."
"You were the one that gave me kit kat to do your geography homework." He laughs.
"Thanks for reminding me." I roll my eyes. "And you did look like a good kid. Excuse me for not knowing that you've never done your homework." I add.
"I did not look like a good kid." He puts his hands on his waist.
"You wore glasses." I shrug.
"I still wear glasses."
"You do?" I ask.
"Yeah."
"Cool. So what are you making?"
"Spaghetti bolognese." He grins.
"Do you usually cook for yourself?"
"Nope. The chef does it but he's not here today."
"Okay. Do you need help?"
"You ask too many questions but yes, I do."

We sit in the dining table with our plates in front of us. Everyone is here except for Liam.
"Liam!" Brian shouts. "We're fucking hungry man so you better come out. We're tired of waiting!"He adds.
I glare at him and the others laugh.
"Where is he, Amelia?" Colton asks me.
"One of the guest rooms," I reply. He hasn't come out since I left him in the guest room and that was like an hour ago.
I sigh and get up from my chair.
I check the room that I was with earlier and he isn't there. I walk through the hallways calling out his name but no answer.
My heart starts racing but I tell myself that I haven't checked the whole house so his probably somewhere.
I go up the stairs and open the door to Rob's room. Liam is peacefully sleeping in Rob's bed. He looks so cute! I move to him and gently shake him.
"Liam," I say his name softly.
"Huh?" He rubs his eyes and gets up. "Was I sleeping?"
"No, you were dancing." I roll my eyes and he chuckles.
"It's dinner time. Let's go" I put my hand in his and pulled him up. More like he pulled himself but whatever.
"Did you guys order something?" He asks.
I shake my head. "No, Rob cooked."
"Okay. I need to wash my face. Will you wait for me?" His voice is still husky and he still looks sleepy.
"Sure."
Some few minutes later, Liam comes out of the bathroom and we head to the dining room.

After eating, we go back to the living room to chill.
"I feel like we were all meant to be friends but Liam and Amelia got in the way," Ian speaks.
"What?" I look at him.
The others also look up and give him curious looks.
"Well, we all went to the same high school and knew each other since we were kids but we barely spoke to each other. We also attend the same University and our parents are all friends but still nothing! And then, the moment that you guys became partners, we all became friends." He explains to me.
"But Colton asked Emily out before Liam and I became project partners and I speak with you guys sometimes. Colton and Liam were the ones I never spoke to." I said.
"Yes but we weren't actually friends before," Ian says.
He's right.
"And I didn't think Emily and I will ever be together after I messed up our first date. The reason we made up was because of the friendship." Colton smiles at me.
"Look at us, we fit together so well. I'm really glad we all became friends." Nicole cries and hugs Ian. He laughs and hugs her back. I swear they have the cutest friendship.
Ding dong!
"I'll get it," Brian says quickly. "Before this mushiness kills me." He mutters and we laugh.
I look at Liam who has been quiet and he looks down at me. "What's wrong?" I ask him.
"Nothing. I'm just thinking." He smiles and leans for a kiss.
"Well, well, well. Amelia and Liam kissing?! What a surprise!" Jacob fakes surprise, rolling his eyes.
We break from the kiss and Liam shows him his middle finger.
Tyler and Brian follow behind Jacob and they all sit down.
"How was your first day at Hardwood, Tyler?" I ask Tyler who is sitting in the armchair.
"It was good, Amelia. Thanks for asking." Jacob answers before him.
"When did you become this annoying?" Emily glares at him.
"Come on, Em. It's just that Amelia has this funny look on her face when she's angry." He chuckles.
We all talked and talked about a lot of things. This special connection grew within the ten of us. My chest tightens as I think about Jamie and how I've missed him. I haven't seen him since Tyler's party.
I get up and go to the backyard. I see a swing and sit down on it. Five minutes later, Nicole and Emily join me.
"Liam said it looks like something is bothering you so he asked us to check up on you," Nicole says and Emily nods.
"I just miss Jamie." I smile at them and teardrops from my eyes.
"We do too." They say together and we hug.
I don't think that I can hold on to Jamie's secret any longer. If that's the reason his avoiding us, he shouldn't. Nicole needs to know. Even though it will hurt her, I know she will understand.
"I need to tell you, girls, something," I speak.
The moment they turn to look at me, our phones beep. I see a message from an unknown number.
"We're now receiving text messages at the same time! How cool are we?!" Nicole flips her hair and we laugh.
"Let's check them together," Emily says.
We bring our phones together and we open the message.
Unknown: It's good to see the ten rich kids hanging out. Have fun WHILE IT LASTS because I AM WATCHING YOU!
Unknown: I have thirteen names though: Liam Black, Amelia Smith, Robert Miller, Nicole Taylor, Emily Parker, Ian Thompson, Brian Shaye, Colton Adams, Tyler Williams, Jacob Williams, and.......
I gasp and my heart starts beating fast. We share a horrified expression and get up from the swing.
Is this fucking high school?!
Or pretty little liars?!
We hear the guys laughing and then silence.
"It's them!" Nicole huffs angrily.
"What the hell? How could they scare us like this!" Emily cries.
I am literally out of words. I don't know what to say or do so I angrily walk to the living room and my best friends followed.
We go inside and see them holding their phones with confused/terrified/shocked expression on their faces.
I guess it's not them.
"Wait did you guys also received the message?" Nicole asks.
And they all nodded their heads.
"Yeah."
