Maya's POV:
After Farkle and I got married, we had our reception in the halls of our high school. I was sitting on Farkle's lap feeding him wedding cake. "I like the sound of Maya Minkus."
I fed him a mouth full of cake. He mumbled, "Me too."
I smiled . "You know having the wedding in Mrs. Clark's classroom was meaningful... in a romantic kind of way."
He chuckled to himself. "Yeah, we got a lot detentions that were worth it in the long run."
I asked out of curiosity, "How did you plan this all out?"
Farkle scratched the back of his head. "Well the night I stormed out on you, I realized I couldn't stay mad at you for much long. I understood that you didn't mean to hurt me and you were scared that you were going to go through it all alone. That night I realized I wanted to be with you for the rest of our lives. I didn't want you to go through something like that alone again. I wanted to be there for you. So it didn't take me a week to forgive you, it took me a week to figure out a way for you to mine forever."
Farkle's POV:
Maya teared up. "You should have said earlier in the wedding vows."
"I know."
She laughed. "You planned the perfect wedding."
I said, "I just got lucky with the perfect bride."
She blushed. "You need to stop."
"Then kiss me fool."
She did a tiny peck on the lips.
"That's it? Show me some love. We just got married!"
Maya got up from my lap. "Save it for later." She winked.
You know what that meant.
Maya's POV:
I went looking for Riles. She was talking to Lucas.
I interrupted. "Sorry, could I have a moment with Riley, Huckleberry?"
"Sure thing. Anything for the bride."
Lucas left. I looked at Riley. "What was that about?"
She rolled her eyes. "Nothing."
I stared deeply in her soul.
"Okay. We started seeing each other again... casually. Don't make a big deal."
I smiled. I was so happy for Riles. She had finally found her happy ending too.
I asked, "I have a question."
She responded, "I have an answer."
"Did you really doubt my relationship with Farkle?"
She gave me a look. "What do you think of me? I'm not that shallow."
"I was just scared. You told me many things that were true. Like I did hurt people."
Riley took a deep breath. "I was testing you to see what you would actually do. Despite the things I said, you loved him and wouldn't let him go. That proves that you're meant to be. And when Farkle tested you to meet him here, I texted him when you left my place."
I was in shock. "Everything was planned?"
She nodded.
"Thanks for the explanation. Never fool me again."
"Well that depends."
I gave her a death stare.
While everyone was at their assigned tables, I tapped a glass with a fork. "Attention everyone! We are officially the Minkuses. And before the speeches I would like to announce something important."
Everyone got quiet.
"Farkle and I are pregnant!"
Everyone cheered and were so supportive.
After the speeches, everyone started dancing.
Farkle and I were still sitting. Our song Make you Feel my Love by Adele came on. He smiled. "What are we waiting for? Let's dance!"
I grabbed his hand. We were slow dancing. My head rested on his shoulder.
Farkle's POV:
Maya whispered. "Hayden."
"Huh?"
"Our first child would have been a girl named Hayden."
I was surprised. She was thinking about the miscarriage. "Oh."
She dug her head into my chest. "I'm sorry for bringing that up."
I started to stroke her hair. "Maya, it's okay."
She looked at me. "I just don't want to forget."
"I promise you that there isn't a chance."
Maya looked up at me with her beautiful ocean eyes. "What do you think of this baby?"
I looked down at her. "I hope it's a boy."
"Names?"
I thought for a moment. "Ryder?"
"Eh."
I thought again. "Charlie."
"Something better."
I squinted at her. "What do you want?"
She playfully pushed me. "Relax. I was just going around. Those names were fine."
I grinned. "Well thanks for at least considering them."
She squeezed me tight, "I love you."
"I love you, too."
She leaned her head on my shoulder. All I thought about that night was how lucky am I?
