|Chapter Thirty Seven|

"You have done what?" Gemma found her voice to grow loud even in the small confines of Hade's study. She watched her grandson with a fierce eye, and began to question the way things were going to happen. She knew that he had a fascination with the human girl but she also knew it would lead him into trouble and he was willing to go through anything for her. Telling Gemma that he admitted his love for her, she was infuriated.

"I care very deeply for her. She is mine, and I dare anyone else to say any different. She will be coming with me to Olympus very soon but first I need to talk to Zeus, and Poseidon isn't all that thrilled either."

"Please listen to me when I say- She is never going to be Persephone. Never. Do not try to make her something she was never meant to be Hades."

"She is whatever she wants to be. Just as I have given her the freedom to do. This is my damn chance to be happy and what is so wrong with this idea that you just can't seem to grasp?"

"Excuse me? I have helped your little pet many times in her hour of need. Do not mistake me for someone I am not. You know good and damn well I want you to be happy but I also want you to be safe."

"Well I thank you for your concerns grandmother, but I need to go. Please fetch Winnie and have her tend to Alessa. If she is not already." Hades disappeared in that moment, leaving Gemma alone to her thoughts. She didn't despise Alessa, she just didn't feel like she was worth the trouble her grandson was putting in.

Meanwhile in her room, Alessa was running herself a bath and trying to get herself undressed so she wouldn't dirty the dress too much. Her body was sore, and shaken to be honest. Her legs felt like they would cave below her, and she knew it was because she had over worn herself with extraneous work. First taking the essence of Hades, and being in a place no human should be. In time itself, in a state that no one else could see. It was like standing behind a veil where you can see everything but no one can see you. She was unsure of how to feel in that kind of surrounding but at the time she didn't think about that. She only thought of what was before her.

She had admitted her harbored feelings for Hades, grown in short time, and she finally made love. Something she had been raised to believe you can only do with someone you love. It was enriching. Though it was making her sore after the first time, and she knew that it would fade eventually. She had heard many stories through the rumors in court, from listening over conversations as she had none of her own.

"Less?" Winnie called out softly, her voice echoing as she peaked her head in through the door of the bedroom suite. Alessa was quite joyful to see Winnifred as she came in to check on her. It was nice, being happy. Something Alessa was growing comfortable with.

"Winnie!" Alessa smiled instantly seeing her friend, knowing that she wasn't just another servant or maid. She cared for Winnie like Winnie cared for her.

"Oh look at you- you reek of him!" Winnie admitted freely, forgetting her station, or her place as she spoke to Alessa like a sister or best friend. "Never mind that- would you like me to draw you a bath?" Winnie started towards the bathing room, when she noticed the steam already coming through the door way. It looked like Alessa already started. Winnie felt upset knowing she came a bit too late and that her lady had to do something on her own.

"I've already started the bath- though I would love it if you could help me get the rest of the dress off. I'm still quite tired. My mind is awake, but my body says different."

"Oh my lady, Hades has given you such a radiant glow. It's so nice to see finally." There it went again, finally. Had everyone else really thought this was over-do? Had she made Hades wait so long that everyone was counting down the time before things progressed? Shaking her head of the thoughts, Alessa sighed with a good smile draped across her lips.

"I am quite happy. It's the uncertainty of everything else that worries me." Alessa was truthful, she was worried what would happen now. She had accepted Hades, she had seen the world he lives in, and what he is capable of. This would only mean she was getting ready to make the change into a Goddess where she would be crowned Queen of the Underworld.

"What uncertainty?" Winnie began to aid the princess with removing the articles of clothing. Seeing the naked body of Alessa, just knowing she had broken her virginity she looked different. More feminine, and sensual. Powerful. Though her body still shuddered with the freshness of it and wobbled like a new born fawn.

"How will it be when I become a goddess? What will things be like as his wife, his queen?"

"Oh-well the future isn't always going to be dark." Winnie didn't know how else to answer. She was not experienced in the same things as Alessa. Taking care of her lady, Winnie began to help Alessa bathe and redress.

In Olympus Hades had come to find Poseidon and Zeus awaiting him. After he collected and drank the elixir of life, he knew that he would need to chat about upcoming events. "Brother." Zeus spoke out first, acknowledging the presence of his brother Hades. The two always butted heads but it didn't make Zeus love him any less.

"You two look incredibly busy should I go and return later?" Hades chuckled knowing the offer would never extend. His brother begged him here any chance he could.

"No. In fact, we have been told just how busy you have been recently. Do you know what that human is doing to you?" Poseidon groaned and turned towards the Death God walking his direction. Power and evil demeanor laced over Hades, the cold darkness spreading anywhere beside him. It was Poseidon who had first witnessed Alessa and her fear of the new life, and now she was much different. He was against Alessa being here, and Hades wished he could alter their thoughts of her.

"Didn't realize I was the talk of the land." Chuckling to himself, Hades stopped before his brothers.

"Come." Zeus nodded his head towards the double doors leading into their throne room. The one place they had full reign to speak freely, open, and with the most secrecy. It is a place where judgements and sentences are passed, and that is exactly what was about to happen.

"You have broken many rules in these past few weeks. Hades if this is how a single human can affect you then you will soon be unfit as a God." Poseidon spoke as if he had any right or rule over what happens to Hades. Zeus just held up his hand to silence the man, and instead began.

"Hades- I will no longer wait. I summon Alessandra Rousse to Olympus and I charge her under the intervening of God Business." Zeus was confident in his words. He meant that Alessa would come, and he would wrongfully sentence her.

"I will bring her here, but first- I want to have her drink the elixir. I claimed her as my own, and she is my Queen. I want her to stand by my side until death do us part." The last part of Hade's sentence made him want to chuckle at the thought that he was in control of that. Soon she would be able to do that as well.

"I will not allow that. She is not ready for that, and nor do I approve. That is to be voted, you cannot allow that just because you say." Zeus admitted.

"This is Ludacris. Hades what has happened to you?" Poseidon snapped quickly, his anger evident.

"What is your problem? I am just fine, the underworld runs smoothly, and she is ready. Allow me to bring her, carry on with the vote. As soon as possible." Hades instructed. He didn't need to prepare anything or anyone. He knew that Alessa could stand her own ground and what she couldn't he would. She was smart and strong, and when given the opportunity she could give hell just as much as she receives.

"My problem is that for centuries we have maintained a rule of no humans, and yet here you are galivanting around with her. Showing her things, sparing her life when it was due at birth." Poseidon reacted quickly. His anger only growing more and more, just as Hades' had.

"Enough. There will be a vote. However, you will not be fetching her. Poseidon please escort Alessandra here without any harm coming to her. If she is, the vote will be given immediately and you lose what you work for." Zeus reminded and instructed of Poseidon. This would give Hades little chance to prepare the woman, and her true self would be shown before the lot of Gods she must have consent from.

"Right away." Gone, in just that instant. Leaving Zeus and Hades to speak privately.

"I know about Persephone. I know about Alessandra. You do not think I am a fool do you? Saving Persephone's essence, just to transfer it to Alessandra. You are sneaky, but I cannot blame you. Despite what you may think I do not wish to take your happiness. I merely uphold the rules voted on for peace." Zeus sighed and sat in his throne, his eyes full of tire and his body worn with exhaust.

"There would be no need for all of this if you would have just allowed me what I want. Alessandra is her own person, and I have fallen madly in love. Zeus- she is my queen regardless of what you say and until the day she dies I will follow any command she gives. Whatever it is you think you know, you don't."

"Well- we shall see what happens. I'm going to send for the council."
