Day 4 part 1
That night, we talked about our parents and what they were like. Turns out he grew up in a rich family and I grew up in a poor family. The only thing that separated him from his family was that he didn't act so spoiled.
I woke up this morning and watched the snow fall outside my window.
"Another day closer to my ending." I said to myself. I rolled over to look at my clock. It was fairly early in the morning. But I knew I would have to wake up before Brian would end up walking through my home to see if I was alright. That's when I remembered the letter.
"That's right, I have to go to that place to see her." I sat up and yawned. My heart was calm and peaceful until someone had knocked on my door. The only name came to mind, which only got my heart racing.
I jumped out of bed and ran to the front door. I quickly fixed my hair and opened it. My intuition was right.
"Good morning Brian." I said.
"Did I wake you?" he asked as he walked in.
"No, I just woke up a few minutes ago. But I will need to get ready for the day you know." I yawned again. He only sighed as he stood in the kitchen.
Brian didn't act normal.
"Brian, did something happen?" I asked. He didn't answer me. I walked in front of him and stared at his face. I noticed his eyes were shut from the tears that came out of them. Before I could even asked why he was crying, he wrapped his arms around my neck.
"Mona, I'm sorry to bug you like this, but something happened to my sister." he cried. I didn't hug him, but I asked what had happened to his sister.
"When she was walking home from work last night, a drive by happened, and she got involved. She's dead!" he began to cry harder and harder each word he had finished. I didn't cry, but I felt as if it was a family member of mine that had died. I finally wrapped my arms around his waist. We both stayed in that position for a few minutes.
I didn't have anything to say to him, but I now he must feel that same way that I did back then.
