“Someone want to explain to my why I woke up half naked and a giant scar in the middle of my chest?” Skylar asked as she walked into the room making everyone turn to look at her.
“Skylar?” Austin asked and she just looked at him.
“Yes?” she asked.
“You’re alive!” Owen shouted and pulled her into a hug.
“I was dead?” she asked sarcasm thick in her voice.
“Yes you were you had no pulse,” Luke muttered as he eyed her.
“Wow and I thought you guys were smart,” Dominic muttered making me growl at him. “When silver passes through a wolves veins it can cause them to have no pulse it doesn’t mean their dead it just means their body is fighting against the position.”
“I totally forgot about that!” raven growled.
“Griffin?” god that voice could bring me to my knees. I turned and smiled down at Skylar as she walked towards me.
“Yes Bella,” I whispered using the Italian name.
“You look like shit,” she said making me laugh.
“Staying up all night and refusing to eat can do that to a guy,” parker said and Skylar turned to look at him before she turned back to me.
“You stayed up all night to watch over me didn’t you?” she asked and I could only nod. Suddenly she wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a swift kiss on the cheek. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her into me loving the feeling of her body against mine.
I couldn’t believe griffin had stayed up all night just to watch over me. I felt him tighten his grip on me as I cuddle closer to him on the couch. After he had showered and finally ate we had curled up on the couch in my room. We had to lie on my couch because my bed happened to be covered in blood and had to be replaced.
“Griffin go to sleep,” I scolded and I felt him chuckle against me.
“Its quite hard Bella when you’re just so irritable,’ he whispered and kissed my neck sending shivers down my spine.
“Maybe I should leave then,” I laughed and sat up. I gave a kiss on the cheek before I got up and left the room. As I made my way down stairs and into the kitchen I couldn’t help but smile to myself. I was actually happy to have a mate.
“Well your still alive how wonderful,” I heard someone growl and I turned to see brook standing in the door way.
“What do you want brook?” I growled.
“Oh nothing,” she muttered and turned to leave.
“You’re the one that shot me?” I growled as the realization hit me. How could she. “Why did you do it brook?”
“Because you don’t deserve to be here. You don’t deserve the attention of any of those boys. Especially griffin,” she snapped as she glared at me.
“So you thought killing me would make things better?” I spat. I reached out and grabbed her arm and flung her into the wall making her grunt in pain but I grabbed her again and shoved her to the ground. “You underestimated my strength brook!”
I saw fear crept into her eyes as she looked up at me. I wrapped my hand around her throat and squeezed making her gasp for air.
“What the hell is going on?” I heard Dom snap from behind me but I didn’t move to look at him.
“She’s the one that shot me!” I growled and squeezed harder and suddenly I felt arms wrap around my waist and pull me away from brook. I let out a low growl and tried to get away but whoever it was wasn’t letting go.
“Get brook out of here I can’t hold her for long!” I heard parker snap and knew he was the one holding me. I looked to see Dom shoving brook out of the kitchen anger clear on his face.
“Skylar I’m going to let you go but you have to promise not to go after her,” parker growled and I just nodded. I felt him release me and I quickly stepped away from him just as Owen, Luke, and raven walked in followed by Austin and Reece.
“I am so sorry parker if I ever thought she would do something like that I would never have let her stay here. She is being punished for her actions as we speak,” Austin said as he stepped towards me.
“Just keep her away from us or we will kill her,” parker snapped and Austin just nodded worry clear on his face.
For the rest of the day I just hung out with my boys while griffin slept in my room at about five I decided I would go upstairs and wake up griffin for supper.
We I opened my bedroom door I felt my heart drop realizing griffin was gone but I relaxed when I heard the shower going in my bathroom.
I sat down on the couch and waited for him to come out and when he did I felt my breath catch. He wore the same clothes but his hair was now wet and hung around his face perfectly.
“Good morning sunshine?” I said softly making him turn and look at me.
“I’m sorry I slept all day Skylar,” he whispered.
“Don’t apologize he deserved the sleep after staying up all night just to watch over me,” I said and got up off the couch and walked over to him. He pulled me into a hug and planted a kiss on the top of my head. I couldn’t help but rest my head against his chest and relax.
“Bella as much as I would look to stand here with you all day but I can hear your stomach growling,” griffin laughed. God I loved that Italian accent.
“Yeah I was hoping you wouldn’t hear that,” I muttered and pulled away from him and grabbed his hand and led him down stairs. Thankfully brook was nowhere to be seen and I had made sure the boys didn’t mention what she had done in front of griffin.
“Well there’s the happy couple,” raven laughed as he came up behind us and wrapped his arms around our shoulders making me roll my eyes.
“Your positive their not gay?” griffin whispered as he eyes raven carefully.
“Some days I wonder,” I laughed and pulled away from raven and walked into the dining room.
“If I was gay would I have a girl coming over?” raven growled as he stood beside me.
“Gay guys can have girl friends,” parker muttered and I couldn’t help but laugh as raven glared at him.
“Raven the girl you invited is in the doorway waiting for you. Skylar, griffin sit down,” Austin said as he walked into his room. I could already hear the sound of an alpha in his voice and I couldn’t help but smile. I may have been born an alphas daughter and I would love to be alpha but I just couldn’t do it.
“Come on sky I know you’re hungry,” Owen said and pushed me towards my seat forcing me to sit down. Griffin sat down beside me and I could tell he was a little tense. I didn’t blame him with two very powerful packs under one roof things could get a little worry some and it was worse yet considering he had always been a rogue.
I rested my hand on griffin’s leg and smiled at him. For the rest of diner griffin seemed to become more relaxed as he joked around with both packs. I sat back in my chair and watched in awe. I had both my packs and my mate in one room and they were all getting along. Had I really been so scared for nothing?
After supper was finished I took griffin back up to my room and now I was pacing my room as he sat on by couch a worried look in his eyes.
“Bella would you just please sit down and tell me what is wrong,” he begged but I just shook my head.
“You don’t get it griffin I am forced to make a decision between my packs,” I sighed.
“Well whatever you decide Skylar I will be with you one hundred percent,” he said and grabbed my arm making me stop my pacing.
“I wish I didn’t have to choose,” I sighed as I sat down on the couch beside him.
“I know what you mean,” he sighed and pulled me against him.
“How dare you speak to me like that!” parker snarled.
“You’re taking her away from where she really belongs!” Dom snapped.
“She belongs with her pack!” Owen spat. Were they seriously fighting over me? I walked over to my door and pulled it open and sure enough there stood both packs yelling at each other.
“We are her pack! This is her home and always will be!” Tyler growled and he stepped forward but Dom grabbed his arm.
“So what you’re going to make her decide?” Luke spat his eyes darkening. As I looked at them I knew that their wolves had taken over and they would no longer listen to reasoning.
“She deserves better then you mangy mutts!” raven snapped. I watch in shock as Zach flung himself at raven shoving him into a wall and glaring at him.
“You are worthless to me!” Zach growled and I watched as I swung back and punched raven making me scream. That’s when the fight broke out. Pack fought pack. Both were pretty much my family and they were trying to kill each other.
“Skylar?” I heard griffin as behind me and suddenly Dom growled and grabbed griffin him and shoved him into the floor.
“You’re the worst of them. You think you can steal her away from us!” Dom snapped and I watched as he swung back ready to punch griffin.
“Dom!” I screamed making him stop and turn to me. He must have seen the hurt and pain in my eyes because he quickly got to his feet and tried to reach out towards me but I stepped back. By this point everyone had stopped fighting and now were watching Dom and I. “if you guys can’t get along then I don’t see why I should choose either of you.” I felt the tears start to fall down my cheeks and I watched as both packs backed off of each other and turned to look at me with regret in their eyes.
“Skylar were-” raven began but I shook my head.
“Don’t fucking say you are sorry just don’t because why say something that you won’t mean. You guys want me to choose. Well guess what I choose to go rogue.” I watched as the shock set in. “griffin lets go.” Griffin grabbed my arm and took my downstairs. When we were in his car and headed to his house I broke down.
