Hey everyone and WELCOME to the eleventh and second last episode of the FOURTH VOLUME of RWBY: (Genius Gamer Shadow) Ex-Aid Reader x Ruby Rose! So, to recap once again, I DO NOT OWN RWBY AND I DO NOT OWN KAMEN RIDER EX-AID!! RWBY is owned by RoosterTeeth and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is owned by Toei. So, now sit back, enjoy and LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!
*Nuckelavee Grimm roars loudly*
3rd Person's POV:
In Salem's Domain, Cinder trains under Salem's guidance in using her Fall Maiden powers against the Grimm. Just as she kills the last Grimm, she falls to her knees, breathing heavily.
Salem: Enough.
She and Gemdeus Machina walks forward while Cinder continues to struggle for normal breathing.
Salem: I thought you were the girl who wanted power. Did you lie to me?
Cinder winces on the force of Salem's question before looking upward. Turning to face Salem, Cinder clearly shakes her head negatively.
Salem: Then stop holding back. If you wish to master your new powers, you must -
Salem is cut off by the sound of heavy doors opening. On the opposite end of the stone hall, a sobbing Tyrian enters. He falls to his knees once in the room, both hands flat on the floor and his head bowed.
Tyrian: I'm sorry. She'll forgive me. Pleeeease.
Tyrian bows again on the last word.
Tyrian: Forgive me...
Salem: Tyrian!
She stands before him. He raises his body but remains sitting on his legs while Cinder rises from the stone floor behind Salem.
Salem: Your task - were you successful?
Tyrian: N-no.
Cinder's eye widens. Salem also looks surprised for a moment before narrowing her eyes and walking away. Cinder watches their leader for her further reaction without looking at Tyrian. He starts begging as he turns his body to remain facing Salem.
Tyrian: But-but hope is not lost! My tail, my stinger... I-I poisoned him, Qrow! He will not be a nuisance to you any longer, no... no longer! I've done that... have I pleased you?!
As soon as Tyrian said the part he had wounded Qrow, Salem's eyes glowed eerily in anguish as she sharply turned her head towards her subordinate, making Tyrian shiver in fear as Gemdeus watched.
Salem: The last eye is blinded,... you disappoint me.
Gemdeus Machina's POV:
Salem leaves, but before she could, I stood up for Tyrian.
Me: Hold it.
Upon hearing this, Salem then turns back to Tyrian only to face me in question of why I said this.
Me: Tyrian, I must know. You may have failed but, I gave you another objective, correct?? So, what about the boy?
When he mentioned about Shadow, he shivered in fear as he explains.
Tyrian: He... he.... he has, I don't know how he got them in just one day but.... he has all of the maidens' powers....
As he said this, Cinder was in great shock when he said this and Salem has the same expression but this time, she began more angrier, so did Cinder.
Salem & Cinder: What?!
Me: (raises his hand to stop the conflict which nearly started) ENOUGH!!! (places hand down) really?
Tyrian: Yes... then after the battle, I felt his maiden powers, except for his Winter Powers disappear from his body.... is like... is like... is like he can only wield these powers only once.... I'm sorry, Gemdeus... I'm sorry...
Me: Interesting.... anything else???
Tyrian: Oh!! He had a message for you, Your Majesty... and to you too, your grace... he said, if you come after either of them, the silver-eyed warrior or him, he will show no mercy and he will come after us, he will come after her to start his legendary battle.....
Me: Legenday Battle, eh? Hmmm... interesting~ You may have disappointed Salem, but you haven't disappointed me on one thing... and that is to get info. You disappointed your grace, but you didn't fail me.
Then, I turned away and leaves Cinder and Tyrian behind as I walked pass Salem who will caught up with me later. Soon after, Salem leaves as Tyrian falls forward, wailing in despair. A Beowolf approaches, all focused on Tyrian's negative emotions. It ignores Cinder and leaps upon him. Tyrian sends it away with a single blow and it lands on its back. Still wailing, Tyrian opens his weapons and leaps atop the Beowolf. He slashes at it repeatedly, tears streaming down his face. His wails gradually turn into a more sadistic and psychotic laughter as he vents his grief into the butchering of the Grimm. Cinder watches, horrified.
While I walked back to my room, Salem was behind me. I then stopped as I knew that she is in doubt.
Me: You are in doubt, my love. What's troubling you?
Salem: I may have known you for a few days now... but telling one of my best that he failed and he didn't? It doesn't make sense.
Me: Well, to elaborate, before Tyrian left for his mission, I spoke with him in private and gave him another objective... and that is to see how powerful my ultimate enemy is.
Salem: And we've got it?
Me: Yes. Although he has failed in one thing, he hasn't failed another... my dear. So, don't take it too hard on him... as after all, (placing arm around her waste) we are working together, aren't we, Ms Salem?
Salem: Well, as much as I want to say otherwise but... yes, we are working together after all.
And with that matter settled, another cry of rage and a maniac laugh was heard.
---MEANWHILE---
Pallad's POV:
Outside their house, Yang, without her bionic arm, approaches her bugster-human friend, who is already prepared and geared up for his journey. I checked my gashacon weapon as I rotate the blade and barrel a few times to see if my weapon is in top-condition, and sees Yang walking to me.
Me: Hey, Yang. Here to see me off?
Yang: Yeah, pretty much.
Me: And where's your arm?
Yang: I... took it off to give it some.... paint job. Listen, are you really going to accept the job.
Me: Why not? I feel ready. Besides, the path goes to Mistral. I might even run into Ruby on the way. So, I--
Yang: Look, there is a woman who can take you to Ruby.
Me: Oh? How do you know?
Yang: Let's just say that the woman and I are related.
Me: Huh, that's good to know. Say, whenever you're ready, could I hitch a ride with you to Mistral? It will be tiring to walk all the way there now will it??
Both Yang and I chuckled.
Yang: Well, sure. There's plenty of room for one more, anyway, handsome~~
Me: Heheh... although you have other ideas, thanks for the charming puzzle, Yang. (A/N: That means to say, "..., Thanks for the compliment,...)
Yang's POV:
I head into the tool shed to get some spray paint for my arm and weapons. After spray painting my robotic arm and my Ember Celicas bright yellow. I, accompanied by Pallad goes back into the tool shed and takes the tarp that had been covering my motorcycle off.
Pallad: If Motos were to see this, he'd be amaze.
Me: Oh yeah?
Pallad: Yeah.
???: I don't remember saying that you were ready.
My father, Taiyang, is leaning against the frame of the open shed door, his arms crossed. I then talk to my father, without turning around to face him.
Me: Oh yeah? You're gonna try and stop me?
Taiyang: No. I think I'm still too sore after our last fight. I just wanted a better goodbye than a letter. And, I also have a question for you.
Out of curiosity, i turned around to face my father.
Taiyang: Where are you going?
Pallad then turns to face Taiyang soon after.
Me: What do you mean?
Taiyang: Well, despite asking him numerous times not to, I know that Qrow told you where your mother's been at these days. I know how much you wanna see her. I've stopped you in the past, but I won't anymore. And we both read the note. We know your sister's headed to Mistral. And we both saw the bird symbol on your paper (looks st Pallad), which also means one thing: She could either be leading you to a trap, or to your mother. So, where are you going?
I looked down at the tarp as my father makes his point. I remained gazing down for another couple of beats before looking up at my father. My eyes narrow in determination, My decision is then made.
---MEANWHILE---
3rd Person's POV:
Weiss Schnee steps out of her bedroom, carrying a white suitcase and her rapier. She looks around cautiously, her footsteps loudly resounding in the ornate hallway. She jumps and gasps when their household butler Klein appears right behind her. He puts his finger to his lips and shushes her before smiling.
Klein: (whispering) Let's go.
The two move quickly across the carpet, their footsteps muffled. Side by side, they go down the staircase and clickety-clack their way across the entrance hall. They are moving down another hallway when Klein's Scroll buzzes. They both look at it with squinty eyes.
Klein: Master Whitley! I... um... yes, of course. I'll be just a moment.
He then clicks his Scroll off and tucks it away.
Klein: (whispering to Weiss) Head to the first floor library.
They separate, going in opposite directions. While Weiss continued her path, to the first floor library, she was then soon creeping outside Weiss' father's study door when she hears a glass crash followed by the rising voice of General Ironwood. She then crouch behind a cushioned chair against the wall.
Jacques: Watch it!
Ironwood: You need to control yourself!
Jacques: You're talking to me about control? Do you even hear what you're saying?
Ironwood: I am basing everything on my reports from your daughter.
Jacques: A daughter you stole!
Weiss, clearly intrigued, moves closer to the door to listen.
Ironwood: Oh, we are not getting into that again.
Jacques: Oh, yes, we have far more pressing matters to discuss, starting with your apparent lunacy!
Inside the study, Jacques is seated at his desk while Ironwood has both hands on it, leaning over him from the other side. Ironwood sighs heavily before he speaks again.
Ironwood: Winter is one of my best. If she's telling me there's a threat in Mistral then I am not going to take that news lightly. She's been there for weeks, people are mobilizing, sudden spikes in Dust trades. Someone is about to make a play and I do not trust Leo to stop them.
Jacques: You've never trusted anyone other than yourself!
Ironwood: And for good reason!
Outside the study room, Weiss covers her mouth with her hand as she gasps at the sound of Ironwood slamming his fist onto the desk.
Ironwood: If Oz had just listened to me from the start....
Jacques: You need.... to get a grip.
Ironwood: That's exactly what I'm doing. Our people need protection, and by this time next week, the Kingdom of Atlas will be officially closing its borders. No one in; no one out. Without the council's permission.
Jacques: You mean, without your permission?
Ironwood: And if that becomes the case, I would think you'd want to be on our good side.
With that, Ironwood walks away from the desk, leaving Jacques to sigh and fold his hands. Outside the door, Weiss hears him coming and uses Myrtenaster to cast a black Glyph onto the handle. When Ironwood tries to leave, the handle turns but the door will not open, despite him shaking it.
Ironwood: It's locked.
Jacques: What are you talking about?
Ironwood steps back and slams into the door, shoulder first. It does not budge. Weiss turn and make her way down the hall across the carpet, while a couple more bangs come from the door. After a while, she manage to reach the library, only to find it devoid of people, no sign of Klein anywhere.
Weiss: Klein! Klein, where are you?
One of the bookcases in the corner opens, revealing Klein in his red-eyed personality and with an accent.
Klein: Keep your voice down, I told you I'd be here.
Weiss rushes over, dropping both sword and suitcase in order to hug Klein with both arms. He returns the hug and his eyes turn back to normal.
Klein: Are you sure Mistral is safe?
Weiss steps back from the hug as she clasps her hands formally in front of her.
Weiss: No, but it's where I'll find Winter.
Klein: I suppose she'd be the only family you have left after tonight.
Weiss then puts her hand on his shoulder softly.
Weiss: I'll always have you.
Klein: You most certainly will.
A tear almost escapes Weiss' eyes when a loud bang from further in the house makes them both look. It was clear that Ironwood has gotten finally out of Jacques' study.
Jacques: Klein?! Klein, get down here this instant!
Klein: Go, now.
Weiss grabs her things and goes through the secret passage in the corner of the library.
---MEANWHILE---
Graphite's POV:
It is daytime in Menagerie, birds tweet in the trees around the balcony outside Ghira's study. Inside, a shirtless Sun lies on the couch, his head propped on the arm and his hands folded over his abdomen, a bloodied bandage on his left shoulder where the spy's weapon had struck him. As Sun blinks awake, he raises his head with a groan.
Sun: Blake? Graphite?
Blake is sitting on a chair across from the couch, her body facing him. Her head is bowed and her hands are folded in her lap. Whereas for me, I was sitting opposite to her.
Blake: This... is why, Sun. This is why I left them all behind. This is why I even left the love of my life behind....
Sun: What are you... wait, where am I?
Blake gets up and walks over to the couch as Sun looks around in confusion.
Blake: I am done seeing my friends hurt because of me.
Sun: Blake...
Blake: Shut up! Do you think I like being alone? Every day... every day I think about them! Ruby, Shadow, Weiss, Yang, Rachel, Mitchell... they were my friends! I loved them like I never thought I could love anybody. Especially Tenka, an influential human person who loved me despite who I truly am, a Faunus. A relationship that many people would disagree with. Even I hope they hate me for leaving. I hope Tenka despises me for it too.
Sun: You don't mean that.
Blake: Yes, I do!
She is forceful enough with her voice that Sun pulls back.
Blake: Everyone thinks they can help me, but they can't. You saw Ilia last night and she's not even the worst! No. No more. They're better off without me. I made my choices and I'll deal with the consequences because they belong to me.
Sun: You think you're being selfless, but you're not. Yeah, that chameleon friend of yours got me pretty good. But I'd do it all again if it meant protecting you.
Blake turns to face him, surprised.
Sun: And I can promise Yang would say the same. Graphite and Tenka too, if it weren't for her meanie attitude.
Blake turns away, looking down. Sun starts sitting up fully, with effort.
Sun: You can make your own choices, sure. But you don't get to make ours. When your friends fight for you, it's because we want to. So stop pushing us out! It hurts more than anything the bad guys could ever do to us.
Sun looks at the floor and Blake, who had turned to face him, turns away again.
Sun: But, if it makes you feel any better, the next time I go up against Lizard Girl, it won't be for you - it'll be to get even.
He attempts to point to his wound with his left thumb, but he cannot complete the motion as it aggravates his injury. Sun winces in pain making Blake and I laughed.
Suddenly, the door behind Blake, the same one that Sun crashed through the night before, crashes down again. This time, it is Blake's mother embarrassing herself through eavesdropping too closely. Behind her, Ghira looks down at his wife on the ground with his hand on his hip, while my eyes widened at the scene. Kali pops upward again and speaks in an affected tone.
Kali: Oh! Oh dear, would you look at that, he's awake! Thank goodness!
Ghira begins covering his face with his hand, clearly embarrassed by her wife's predicament.
Ghira: Kali, please.
Blake: Mom!
Sun: Hey, Mrs. B!
Me: Greetings to you, Mr and Mrs. B. (Bows)
Blake: What are you doing?!
Kali: Well, sweetheart, your father needed to speak with the three of you.
Blake: Huh?
Ghira sets the Scroll down on the coffee table, showing a master folder labeled W. F. with six subfolders inside. The subfolders are labeled: Assignment, E.L., P.R., E.W., S. F., Untitled.
Ghira: I'm afraid you were right to be suspicious.
Blake: What do you mean?
Ghira: Adam Taurus is planning to overthrow the leader of the White Fang, and stage a full-scale attack on Haven Academy. It would be the Fall of Beacon all over again.
Sun: Not if we destroy the White Fang once and for all.
Blake: No.
Blake stands up, full of decision.
Blake: We're not going to destroy the White Fang. We're going to take it back.
Sun: To what cost, Blake? It's useless.
All heads were turned towards the Sun.
Sun: After what they did, the White Fang are already irredeemable monsters.
Blake: You can't say that, Sun! They're---
I then stood up in anger while stating my statement.
Me: SSSSIIIIIIILLLLEEEEEEEEEEEENENNCCCCCCCEE!!!!!! EVERYONE, PLEASE!!!! The world is not a merciful place as I thought. I was too naive to even believe that at first. But now.... here we are, just seeing the disaster to just flutter away while we are here, moaning and sulking over the fall of beackn like we are poor!!!! Do you think Shadow or Ruby would've wanted this for you?!
Blake: Why do you care about my team and his team?! Do you know that y--
Me: Because I told MYSELF to look after all of you ever since we first met!!!!
At that point, Blake's eyes widened. Sun takes this opportunity to make some sense in my words.
Sun: You're just looking at the world on one point of view. Your teammates didn't want you to become like this, Blake. Do you know why? Because, they tried their best to keep your innocence, to make you keep your belief that this world is still filled with sunshine and rainbows. They wanted to keep it that way, because it made you... you. Because they thought its what makes you special.
Blake tries her best to not conceal a tear that was trying to escape from her eyes, but I threw my arms around her tightly to hug her.
Me: Please, Blake. Please, I want the old Blake back..... the one I saved before...right when you were little... right when you were clamped shut by a death stalker's pincers... and right before the tournament.... please.
As Blake starts crying on my shoulder, her parents and Sun watch on with empathy looks in their faces. A few seconds later, I wasn't able to hold my tears for long. My tears stream down my cheeks like a river would do. I then wiped my tears with my index finger and looks at it.
Me: Blake.... I must know.... are these.... tears...???
Blake: (crying) yes....
Me: That means.... I'm....I...
Blake: You have feelings, Graphite. Even if you are a bugster, or a game character.... (sniff) you still have a soul to do what's right... and a mind to think what is right and what is wrong...
Me: ...f-feelings....
After saying that word, I started bawling my eyes out as I hugged Blake back tightly, much to Blake's great relief as she rubbed my back soothingly.
Me: I'm s-sorry....... I'm s-so s-s-sorry.... I'm.. I'm such a fool... to listen to Gemdeus Machina's word..... I'm sorry....
Blake: Sshh...sshh... It's okay, Black Dragon. . It's okay.... You're not a fool or a jerk,.... and you'll never be one....
Blake's parents decided to leave the three of them for now to give them some privacy. After minutes and minutes of crying and sobbing, I finally calmed myself and gave my very first, but sheepish, smile to Blake.
Me: Well... I guess, I'm still naive about this world than my world, huh?
Blake smiles and nods at me. I then turned towards Sun, who has been keeping silent for the two of us. I came up to him uneasily.
Me: Are you... angry with me? For being cynical, calling you stupid, and childish, and calling you a f---
But suddenly, Sun knuckle-heads me in response, making me groan a bit while giggling with mirth and asking Sun to stop, saying it between my groans and laughs. After being satisfied to finally hear me laugh for the first time as well, he stops. I took a moment to catch my breath, before I smiled back at him.
Me: Thanks, Sun. I needed that.
Sun: Welcome back, Graphite. And welcome to the team!
Me: Team, eh?? Yeah! It's good to be back. I am Graphite, and my level is 'Level 99'!! (Raising up my weapon) And I hereby say this, even thoigh this is new to me, in the name of games and Remnant, we will reclaim the White Fang's glory back!!!
---MEANWHILE---
My POV:
Mitchell, Ren, Nora and I have managed to run back to Kuroyuri to warn Ruby and the others.
Ren: Not again, not again...
The four of us come to a stop after passing under an arch leading to the center of town. Ren is panting, but Nora is hardly winded, Mitchell, Nora and I are panting away due to exhaustion. Ren lifts his head and his worried eyes change to ones smiling in relief.
In front of them, Rachel, Tenka, Jaune and Ruby face the other way, but abruptly turn, Jaune putting his hand on his weapon. Qrow is still propped up against the tree.
Ruby: What are you guys doing here?!
There was tremble in the ground and sounds of hooves heading towards their location.
Jaune: Did you hear that noise? What was that?!
Ren was about to speak when he suddenly feel the fear in him. His eyes grow wide and he falls to his knees, clearly alarmed, as the sounds of hooves come nearer.
Ren: No...
Nora: Ren?
Mitchell: Guys... (points behind Ruby, Jaune, Qrow, Tenka and Rachel)
Ren looks up, only to see a large Grimm with various weapons stuck behind its back. The Grimm twitches its head to the left and slowly opens up its sewn-like jaw, the horse it was connected breathing out a black smoke, to our greatest fears and horror.
Me: Oh... shit...
