Again.
Karter had been 5 years old when Diana had been born.
She could imagine a small Karter waiting at home expecting a little baby to come. Instead, he had lost his parents.
That would have been too much to handle itself, but on top of that, he had a mafia to take care of.
Diana was sitting in her room.
Alexander had called and said that they would leave in ten minutes.
Turns out Karter had actually convinced Jake's parents that both her and Jake were at a camp. And that they would be back in a few days.
Diana changed from her shorts to ripped jeans and a tank top.
Jake entered the room
"Hey. Can we talk?"
Diana motioned to the bed.
"Di, I don't like lying to my parents." He said sitting down.
Diana raised her eyebrows. His parents still didn't know he was gay.
"Okay." He surrendered. "I don't like lying about this. They adopted you. They should know about your life. Especially since your going to live here now."
"I'm not so sure about that. I mean yes I have my brother here, but I don't know if this is my life."
"Really? Well, that's probably because you couldn't see how you looked when you beat that guy at the club. You looked badass. The other guys wouldn't come near you. And that's not just because of the gun. At that time even I was scared of you. " he said.
Diana looked at him. He wasn't lying.
"Mhm." She replied and quickly walked back into the closet.
Jake had seen her beat bullies up and suddenly beating up a guy in a club scared him? Sure there were guns. But still.
Diana was about to leave the closet when she saw it. A black leather jacket.
She had never seen it in the closet before
Diana wasn't someone who would stare at themselves in the mirror but wearing the black leather jacket, black tank top and ripped jeans Diana felt that she did look badass.
She looked like how she would have looked if she wasn't adopted.
Someone knocked on the door. Alexander.
"Hey. You decent?" He asked coming in. He was wearing a jacket similar to hers.
"You know you're supposed to ask that before coming in?" She asked him.
He shrugged his shoulders.
"You look nice by the way." He said and walked out.
Diana felt a blush form on her cheek.
She followed him outside. Jake was waiting.
"Alright. Listen. We're going to go to your house, say Hello, get the box, say goodbye, and leave." He said. "I'm Diana's boyfriend. We've been dating for a week. That's it. Got It?"
Jake nodded.
Alexander then led them to a room Diana hadn't been to. Weapons.
There were all kinds. From handguns to rifles to snipers.
Alexander picked up a handgun and placed at his back near his belt. His jacket hid it well.
He then took two more and handed them out to her and Jake.
"You know how to use them right?" He asked.
Jake nodded.
"Alright. Let's go." Alexander said.
When the walked out the building, Diana realised that this was the first time she was outside in a week.
When they had kidnapped her, they didn't bother to blindfold her so she could see the entire building. But she could see clearly from the look on Jake's face that this was the first time he was seeing it.
It was huge. Three floors and a big pool right in front.
"Stop gaping." Alexander told Jake.
We were walking towards this line of cars.
Alexander walked towards a black Mercedes. A driver was waiting near the door. He walked to him and took the keys from him.
"You're dismissed."
The driver looked uncertain but he nodded his head and left.
Diana sat in the front seat and Jake sat at the back.
They were driving at a pretty high speed and Diana had to admit that it felt good to be outside.
Her hair was flying everywhere so she tied it up into a high pony.
About half an hour later they had reached the neighbourhood.
Diana could feel the eyes on the car as they drove. The neighbourhood she had lived in all her life wasn't one that was used to Mercedes cars or kids wearing leather jackets.
"That house." Diana said pointing to the last house on that road.
Alexander drove and parked the car in front of it.
"Stay in." He said looking around.
Jake, however, didn't listen. He ran out the car and started ringing the doorbell.
Alexander cursed and ran out.
Diana followed them.
She had just reached the door when it opened.
Jake's mother opened the door.
"Oh, my babies!" She exclaimed. She rushed forward to hug her and Jake.
Alexander smirked at her.
"Oh, and who's this handsome boy?" She asked looking at Alexander.
"I'm Diana's boyfriend." He replied.
"Oh. Welcome." She said and then hugged him tightly.
It was Diana's time to smirk at him.
"Come in." She ushered us inside.
"Hey. Look who's back!" Jake's father called out. "How was the camp?"
"It was good," Diana replied. "Dad, this is my boyfriend Al-"
"Alex." Alexander stepped forward to shake his hand.
"Ah. It's nice to meet you, Alex. It's nice to know that someone broke down her hard outer charact-"
"Dad." Diana cut him off.
Alexander turned to her and raised his eyebrows.
Diana ignored him and looked away.
"You guys have to sit and eat. I made a chocolate cake."
Diana smiled. Her mouth watered. She loved chocolate cake. Before she could say "OH MY GODS YESSS." Alexander cleared his throat. Not loud enough that they could hear it, but loud enough so she could.
"We would have loved to but we're running late. We should leave. I have to go get something from my room but after that, we have to leave." Diana replied.
"Of course." Mrs Smith replied.
She grabbed Alexander's hand and led him up the stairs while Jake waited downstairs.
Once they reached her room, Diana pushed her mattress from the bed and opened a cabinet type thing in her bed.
"Woah," Alexander said. Diana turned around. He was looking at her drawings.
"I didn't know you were this good."
"We have more important stuff to do."
Diana opened the cabinet and took out the black cardboard box and the letter that came along with it.
"Alexander, how are we supposed to hide this?" Diana asked. "If we take this as it is, the Smiths are going to ask questions."
He grabbed my school bag from the side and emptied all the books onto the bed.
"Put it in here." He said holding it out to her.
"That's what she said." Jake said entering the room.
Diana rolled her eyes.
Diana place the box in the bag grabbed a few hoodies and placed them on top to hide the box.
"Alright let's go." She said
Jake left the room and she was about to when Alexander pulled her back.
"Don't call me Alexander, just call me Alex like everyone else. Got It?"
"Alright boss," Diana replied.
She was still smiling when she went down the stairs.
Jake was standing on the last step and looked like he saw a ghost.
She looked at the direction where he was looking.
Two men were holding guns out towards them.
Mr & Mrs Smith were on the floor not moving. They weren't dead. They were breathing.
"Now be a good girl and come with us and no one gets hurt." One of the men told her.
Before she could decide what to do, she felt Alex's hand take hers.
"When I tell you to run, run." He whispered to the both of them.
"I'm going to give you ten seconds." The man said.
Diana could see from the corner of her eye, Alex was reaching out for the electricity switch.
"Four." The man continued the countdown. "Three. Two.."
Alexander switched the light off.
"Run!" He yelled.

Ugh, I keep forgetting I'm writing from the side of a narrator and not Diana herself. There may be a few mistakes like " i" instead of " she". Let me know and I'll correct them.
