"I gotta go, Yeri! Talk to you later!", Jaehyun informed and walked out of the restaurant before Yeri could say a word. "Oppa yaa! Where are you going?", Yeri screamed from the back.
'I should have just replied, why am I such a dick at times?! I need to apologize to her. She had tears in her eyes because of me, and on top of everything, she saw me with Yeri, ugh, I'm so impulsive and ignorant', Jaehyun thought to himself quietly, hating himself for how he has been. Jaehyun who walked towards the same path so she could walk upto Hyejung to stop her and to apologize. 'She's probably not even going to talk to me. I deserve it for hurting her so much, what was I thinking when I was being so cold when clearly I know myself I love her so much', he continued to think as he walked in hopes of finding her as it has not been even 5minutes since she left. Jaehyun finally stopped as she saw Hyejung standing near a car, happy that he found her but before he could take more steps towards her, what he saw next, he felt his hopes being crushed down, a lump in his throat. "Hyejung...Jin..", he worded to himself. Jaehyun was standing behind another car, so they won't be able to see him. He waited there, he felt himself angering as he clenched his fist but more than anger, he was hurt and everything worsened when Jin pulled Hyejung to a hug, he heard everything Hyejung was saying.
"He does not care about me, I know I did wrong but I apologized and he did not bother reply and then I saw him with another girl just a while ago. I don't know, I can't keep on hurting myself like this", those were the exact words he heard, with that, he quickly turned back so they won't notice and he won't hear or witness more of what might happen as he can't take it. 'Eh..it's my fault..why am I hurt now? I was with Yeri too. So this is how she must have felt', Jaehyun blamed himself for everything as he was walking like a lifeless soul wandering. "I still never hugged Yeri", Jaehyun tried to make himself better but he was failing miserably at it and this continued as he made his way to the dorm, thankfully the place is close and he just wanted to get home and sleep, his escape from reality.
"Had a good time?" - Taeyong, questioned sarcastically as he already got informed by Haerin who he was out with
"Not in a mood to talk" - Jaehyun
"You're pathetic" - Yuta
"I AM ALWAYS PATHETIC, AREN'T I? WHY DON'T YOU ASK HER WHY SHE WAS HUGGING THAT ASSHOLE JIN ON THE ROAD? I REALIZED MY FAULT, I WENT TO APOLOGIZE AND THATS WHAT I HAD TO WITNESS, I KNOW I AM PATHETIC SO JUST LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE" - Jaehyun, screamed, waking up the NCT dream members even who were sleeping, this came out as a shocker to all the members as this was the only time they saw him this frustrated and angered. All of them heard how his voice was shaking when he screamed and how his eyes were teary, but he just left to his room before anyone could say a word in response.
"Go back to sleep, hyung was probably drunk" - Taeyong told the younger members innocently, but it was obvious on their faces that they understood what happened so without further questions they just went back to sleep. All the members also had back to their respective rooms and finally Taeyong took his phone out who was all by himself in the balcony to call Haerin, to ask her about whatever Jaehyun said.
"Hello?" - Taeyong
"What made you call so late?" - Haerin
"Don't you dare tell her about what I saw, I don't want to be involved anymore so please", Jaehyun popped out of nowhere, said that and left back to his room.
"Taeyong-ah?" - Haerin, called out to Taeyong who was just shook as to how and from where Jaehyun appeared.
"Yeah, yes, I am here" - Taeyong, finally came back to his senses.
"I asked why you called, anything important?" - Haerin
"No, I just..um..missed you, we haven't talked much since you're busy with practices and I'm busy with comeback stages" - Taeyong, he was unable to tell since Jaehyun requested so he just changed topic.
Taeyong and Haerin talked for about 30minutes, it was mainly about Hyejung and Jaehyun. Both Taeyong and Haerin decided to not say anything as they can't do shit about them although both their hearts wanted Hyejung and Jaehyun to patch up soon, as both of them are so dear to Taeyong and Haerin.

It's been a week since the last time Jaehyun and Hyejung saw each other, both of them did not talk since then. Lot happened, Jaehyun started spending more time with Yeri because of their drama success, they were invited to many talk shows. Hyejung and Jin, both enrolled into the same university, Hyejung to study Architecture, the same as Jin, so naturally they started spending more time, studying together and after college hangouts.
"Whenever I open any news feed on my phone, all I see is this Jaehyun and Yeri, so annoying! Heh, I don't care, stay blessed you two! Whatever!", Hyejung sarcastically muttered to herself as she sat on her bed before heading to shower to go meet her sister, Haerin was on the end process of her debut, just two weeks left for her debut. As much as Hyejung tries to not be bothered by Yeri and Jaehyun, she was not able to do so as her heart obviously wants something else. Hyejung quickly tried to dismiss the thought of Jaehyun again as she carried herself to the bathroom to take a shower as she is supposed to meet up with Hyejung. In no time, she got ready and went downstairs, informed her mother she was going out who was cooking inside and got out of the door.
"Waa, it's been so long I haven't walked from that same route, I'm probably seeing him today considering how lucky I am", Hyejung muttered sarcastically as she continued walking through the alley that leads to SM road and then from there to YG. "Why do I always forget to ask Unnie for another route? This stupid map also shows only this route, I don't wanna see Jaehyun", Hyejung continued talking to herself, her method of keeping herself entertained while walking alone, not caring a bit about other's eyes on her. Hyejung almost crossed SM, for once without bumping into Jaehyun and nothing made her happier than that right now although infront of the convenience store across, Taeyong called her out and waved at her excitedly which she returned with a wave and a soft smile before fastening her footsteps towards YG as she successfully crossed SM. Once she was infront of YG, she took her phone out to text Haerin to come down, just as she sent it, she received a text to her phone from Taeyong.
"Hyejung-ah! I missed you so much! How are you? I'm sorry I haven't been able to talk, oppa just returned from Russia yesterday. Are you going to be free around 6pm today? If so, can you come to SM? I have something to talk about to you, please?", what the text said. Hyejung just sighed at the mention of SM as she hates going around there though she has no choice most of the time. She knows the 'something' Taeyong wants to talk about is also Jaehyun. She was lost contemplating whether to go, meet him or not, she can't even decline it because it's Taeyong who's asking and Hyejung can never be rude towards him.
"Hyejung-ah!" - Haerin, called out
"Unnie" - Hyejung
"Where were you lost?" - Haerin
"Just..Taeyong oppa texted me asking to meet up, I don't know, he wants to talk to me, probably about Jaehyun, I can't even not go. I don't know what to do" - Hyejung
"Ay, just go. Maybe sometimes letting yourself out will be helpful. It's okay, it's been long since you met him even, just go okay?" - Haerin
"Okay, unnie" - Hyejung
Haerin and Hyejung then went around for shops as Haerin decided to buy some pair of new clothes for Hyejung who just recently joined college as a gift. They hung out together till 5:30pm until Haerin had to had back to YG and Hyejung had to go meet with Taeyong. Hyejung dropped her sister off at YG and walked her way to SM and sent a text once she was near to Taeyong. Taeyong, then, came out and escorted her inside of the building, it was filled with people, probably the staffs but gladly he took him to NCT practice room which was the closest to the entrance where they sat down to talk.
"How have you been, Yolayola?" - Taeyong
"I have been fine, just busy with college and stuff. How have you been? Long time" - Hyejung
"I have been fine I guess" - Taeyong
There was a pause of awkward silence as they met after sometime and things weren't exactly the same as before but Hyejung broke it off smoothly.
"So you wanted to talk to me about something, right?" - Hyejung
"Oh yes! Uh, well, I don't wanna bring it up but I stayed quiet for a long time because I did not wanna come between but it hurts me to see both of you drifting apart and Jaehyun turning into someone he obviously isn't. He barely talks to any of us, it's almost as if he has no life in him. I just don't know....are you guys not gonna patch up? I've seen how much you both love each other, I just can't see this happening" - Taeyong
Those words hit Hyejung hard but she was trying to stay composed without being the crybaby she is.
"You already know I tried, I apologized but he is the one who made the choice to not talk to me. To avoid me. I guess he's already move on considering what I see on internet, does not seem like I ever existed even. I won't lie, I still love him but I've also accepted the fact that he does not want me" - Hyejung, still trying hard not to tear up
"Uh, but, he does want-" - Taeyong, was interrupted when someone suddenly opened the door, it was no one else but Jaehyun. He knew Hyejung was in there, he did not even bother to look at her, he just got his back and left, closing the door extremely loud. He did not even take a single glance at her and Hyejung who was acting strong up till now, teared up. "Let's talk another time", Hyejung just said that and walked off as fast as she could. She made her way out SM but things just got worse as the one near the door outside was Jaehyun, he was with Yeri. It did not make any of it better. He clearly made eye contact with her and saw that Hyejung was crying, although trying her best to not show, Hyejung walked off as fast as she could even heard Yeri asking from the back, "Who is she?". Hyejung walked as fast as she could to get off from the SM route, made her way to the alley that leads to her home, as it was already 6:30, it was getting dark, she was thankful to that as she was crying, no one was around. "I shouldn't have gone. I knew this would happen. He does not give a shit about me", Hyejung muttered, her voice shaking as she was crying until she grabbed from behind into a hug. Hyejung was shocked and she screamed, "Who the fuck are-" when she looked up and took a proper glance, it was Jaehyun. She quickly wiped her tears off, lost her words, she did not know anymore what was happening around her, she just got lost into his eyes, his eyes were fixed on hers, without a single blink. He was still holding her waist, staring at her until Hyejung broke it off after pushing him. "Let me go", she screamed but Jaehyun unbothered by the words, grabbed her again towards him, this time a lot more aggressively. Hyejung just gave up and rested her head on his chest as she started crying again. She did not want him to see this side of her, she wanted to be unbothered and cool like how he was playing out but it was of no help.
"Let me go", Hyejung pushed yet again, this time a lot harder and Jaehyun just retorted with, "Stop crying and I'll go". Hyejung just starting crying a lot louder as if what she wanted was him to stay, he dragged her towards the nearby bench and sat next to her, letting her cry as much as she wanted to.
"Just leave me alone, it's already embarrassing enough. Go to your new girl" - Hyejung
"Be quiet, don't cry!" - Jaehyun
"I won't, I'm gonna cry, you can't stop me" - Hyejung, still shaky but trying her best to shove off an attitude
"I guess you want me to stay then, even if you stop, I'll stay" - Jaehyun
"Go away" - Hyejung
As her whole face was wet from all the crying, Jaehyun just took a tissue from his pocket and gave to her to wipe her ass off but Hyejung being Hyejung, she just threw the tissue away so Jaehyun took another one and wiped the tears off her face on his own.
"Why are you being nice now? It's not like it's the first time you saw me teary eyed to come here. Did you fight with your girl or something?" - Hyejung
"That's it. I'm trying to be nice here, you clearly need to learn to be careful with words, Hyejung. I'm here because I wanted to. Stop saying me and my new girl because she is not. Stop believing the internet all the damn time" - Jaehyun
"What else am I supposed to think? You did not even reply to me when I apologized. What the hell else I am supposed to think? You just left me like that, you're way worse than me" - Hyejung
"Huh. Atleast I don't go around hugging Yeri. The day I saw you in SM restaurant, I did follow you, I wanted to apologize, I wanted things back to how it was but guess what I saw? You were hugging Jin, that's what I saw. You've no idea how much that hurts, I know I was wrong but I never had those skinships with Yeri ever. You think I don't know about you and Jin being in the same class in college and the fact that you spend the most time with him after college and all the studying session until late night? I know all of it so don't make me sound like the person having things going on with another person because even I don't spend so much time with Yeri. I still tried being nice because you know why? I genuinely care for you and I still love you, but for you it's always me and my new girl, right?" - Jaehyun
"Now it's all on me. Don't talk as if you know what happened there, I did not ask Jin to come, he happened to be there and he was the one who hugged me, I did push him back afterwards, I was emotionally unstable seeing you out there hanging out with another girl after cooly ignoring me, what the hell do you expect from me? You hangout with Yeri too, it's all over internet. I don't creep on you like you do on me so I can't be exact with what time and what you guys do but I know you do, so stop blaming it all on me, you can go on and live your life, after all, you love ignoring my existence, why here now that you saw me crying? Leave me alone" - Hyejung
"Because I can't see you cry, that's why. Keep believing whatever you read from internet, I'll believe what I see from my own eyes" - Jaehyun
"Whatever!" - Hyejung fired back and just walked off until she reached home and realized that she left her shopping bag on the bench, sighing as she had no other option, she had to walk back there. She almost reached the bench, she was standing behind the bush as she heard someone crying and it was Jaehyun, sitting where she left him, his head down, hands on his hair, sobbing. This was the first time she saw him that way and she felt as if her heart got pierced, it broke her heart to see that way, she was just about to walk upto the bench, when, all of a sudden, Yeri came by and quickly moved to the bench to console the crying Jaehyun. She put his head on his shoulder, held his hands and let him cry his heart out while she was mumbling, "It's okay" to his ears. Upon seeing this, Hyejung did not even know how to react, all she was holding back on her eyes just started rolling off, it was heart-rending to see Jaehyun like that with another girl but she realized that must have been how Jaehyun felt when Jin was hugging her. "It's all my fault", she whispered to herself, she did not even know what to do, to go and get the shopping bag which was beside him or just to go back, but as it was a gift from Haerin, she knew she had to get it. After wiping off the tears, although anyone who looks into her eyes would realize she was crying the whole time, she just walked up to the bench, took the shopping bag without glancing once at Jaehyun. Jaehyun quickly took his head off at the sight of Hyejung but before he could say a word, Hyejung walked off. Jaehyun stood up while screaming, "Wait!" and walked behind her, ran to her and grabbed her hands again. "LET GO OFF MY HANDS, JAEHYUN", Hyejung screamed at his, her voice was raspy from all the crying and Jaehyun just ignored what she said and rested his heads on her shoulder, waiting for Hyejung to embrace him, she did but she stepped back after about a minute and mouthed, "I'm sorry" as she was weeping, with that she just got inside her home, leaving Jaehyun behind infront of her place. "Why the fuck did that happen? Ugh! Dammit, I can't live without you, Hyejung!", Jaehyun mumbled as he was having a hard time to speak even.
I was just as sad as any of you while writing this
