Amelia's POV :
The next day of school was over as fast as it started and I was thankful because I had been drowsy all day from the pills I had taken but Tyler wanted us to go on another adventure and I honestly didn't have the heart to tell him that I was tired so I went along with whatever he had planned .
I walk over to Tyler's car to see him already waiting for me .
"M'lady ." He bows opening the door for me .
"Oh my gosh , I'm scared for what is to come right now ." I laugh getting into the car .
"I'm going to love this ." He laughs getting into the car .
"So what are we doing ?" I ask him as he starts driving off .
"French restaurant ." He smirks .
"Oh damn , I love French food ." I reply sarcastically .
He laughs driving a bit faster .
We arrive at the restaurant and Tyler orders a bunch of things I don't know . The food comes and they put it on the table filling it up .
"Okay I am seeing breadsticks and meat , that's good enough for me ." I shrug using a spoon to eat the meat .
I chew for a few seconds feeling as though it's a bit rubbery and chewy .
"Tyler what am I eating ?" I ask scared for the answer .
"Snails ." He smiles waiting for my reaction .
"Mmhhh very nice ." I carry on chewing slowly .
I grab a napkin spitting into it , smiling widely at Tyler .
"You're so cute !" He laughs having the snails .
"There's beef there ." He says pointing to the other dish of meat .
"Beef as in cow ?" I ask worried .
"Yes beef as in cow ." He chuckles .
"Okay cool ." I laugh having bread and beef stew .
"This is actually amazing ." I smile having more of the stew .
"Yeah I know ." He laughs .
"Tyler , what am I eating ?" I give him a look knowing he's up to no good .
"You're eating beef ." He laughs .
"Are you sure ?" I ask laughing .
"Yes ." He laughs .
"I don't believe you ." I say looking at the meat quite scared .
"It's beef Amelia ." He chuckles .
"Okay Tyler ." I continue eating the delicacy .
I finish my food and I look up to see Tyler smiling at me .
"What ?" I ask .
"Frog legs ." Is the only word he says .
"What about frog legs ?" I ask .
"That's what you're eating ." He smiles .
"You're joking aren't you ?" I ask looking at the empty dish .
"Nope , you just ate frog legs and enjoyed them . My job here is done ." He smirks with his arms crossed .
"What do you mean your job is done ? So what was I eating at first ?" I ask scared .
"You were eating chicken livers ." He laughs .
"I hate you so much Tyler ! I am going to kill you right after I get rid of these contents in my stomach ." I chuckle drinking my water .
"You enjoyed it though ." He smiles giving me a smile with dimples .
"Okay yes I did enjoy it ." I smile drinking more water .
"Good , now you can add to your list that you had French food and that you enjoyed it ." He says paying for the bill and I don't even want to think how much it costs .
"So , I'm bummed and I have to take my pills which are going to make me more drowsy so are we done for the day ?" I ask looking at the time on my phone .
"Yeah we're done ." He says helping me get up .
"Are you alright ?" He asks as soon as I catch my balance .
"Yeah , I'm alright . I'm a bit dizzy ." I reassure him .
"Okay , let's get you home ." He says helping me into the car .
He helps me into the house and waits for me to put my pajamas on . As soon as I'm done and in bed with my diary , pills , a water bottle and a pen he looks at me .
"What ?" I ask with a smile .
"Nothing . Are you going to be alright ?" He asks because there's no one in the house .
"These pills are going to knock me out so yes I'm going to be alright . I'll call you if I need anything ." I smile squeezing his hand .
"Goodnight Amelia ." He smiles leaving the bedroom .
"Goodnight Tyler ." I whisper and I hear the door closing from downstairs . I walk back downstairs so that I can lock the doors and close the windows .
I walk slowly back to my room and I slip on a stair falling onto a piece of wood .
I start screaming in pain , I hold my bleeding arm close to my body trying my best not to cry . Instead I get blood all over the floor and I use the landline to call a number I have already memorized .
"Hello ?" He answers .
"Tyler , I'm sorry . I know you just left but may you please come over ?" I cry into the phone .
"I'll be there in two minutes ." He replies .
I unlock the door and wait in the kitchen rinsing off my blood with the cold water .
"Amelia ?" I hear Tyler call out .
"I'm in the kitchen ." I call out .
"Goodness what happened here ? Are you alright ?" He rushes to me .
"I slipped on the stairs and the wood cut me ." I cry in pain .
"Where's the first aid kit ?" He asks looking into the cabinets .
"It's there ." I point to the cabinet above the stove .
He grabs the red bag taking out savlon which is disinfectant and a cotton ball . He pours a bit of the solution onto the cotton ball pulling my hand closely to his .
"This is going to sting so try your best not to move okay ?" He commands me making me nod my head .
He puts the wet ball onto my arm and I instantly bite down on my bottom lip tasting blood from the pressure . He cleans the wound out and wraps a long white bandage around it . He makes sure that it's tight but not too tight to hurt me .
I release my lips from my teeth and I see him looking at it . He grabs another cotton ball from the first aid kit and puts a bit of water dabbing it onto my bottom lip . The whole time he focuses on his job at hand and does it delicately as if I'm glass . He throws away all the bloodied stuff into a plastic bag and into a bin .
"Where's the mop ?" He asks me looking at the floor .
"I'll clean it ." I say to him .
"You're not well Amelia , this could have been worse so I'm not allowing you to do anything for the time being ." He sighs looking into a long cupboard .
He finds the mop and a bucket in there filling the bucket up with water . He cleans the blood from the kitchen tiles and pours the dirty water outside .
"Come , let's get you to your room ." He says picking me up bridal style as if I weigh nothing .
"Thank you ." I smile up at him .
"Remember , I'll always be here for you ." He smiles and I smile back .
"Have you taken your pills yet ?"
"No , I wanted to lock up after you left so I thought it would be best to do it before I forget but on my way up I had the accident ." I sigh popping my pills and pushing them down with water .
I push my tongue out for Tyler to see that I swallowed everything .
"I'm going to sleep in the guest room ." He says tucking me in .
I look up at the stars on my bedroom ceiling while Tyler looks for his pajamas in my cupboard .
"Will you be alright alone ?" He asks .
"Yeah , I'll go to the guest room if I need anything ." I smile looking at him .
He switches off the lights but leaves the bedside light on , walking out of the bedroom . I sit up looking to my left side of the bed to see that I still have a diary entry to write . I open up to the seventh page and I start writing .
Dear Diary it's the 14 of May and well I had French food . When I say French food I actually mean frog legs . In my opinion they weren't as bad as I thought they would be , I guess people's opinions on certain things make you change your mindset .
Tyler had told me that it was beef stew but he knew all along . I'm actually smiling right now , because I knew he was up to something I just couldn't point it out . Well today was a good day .
I took the bandaid off of my tattoo and it looks so cool right now . Tyler got the same tattoo but in his case it had AJ and mine has TJ . It scares me that it's literally almost Tyler's 18th birthday and I don't know what to do .
Well I guess I'll figure it out . Oh damn I forgot to note this down , I literally just fell on the stairs and Tyler took care of my wounds , that right there is a true best friend but I think it's going to leave a scar .
Well I'm really tired right now and I guess I still haven't gotten used to this whole diary entry thing but I'll get the hang of it or I'll just carry on writing jumbled stuff up and look back to this and laugh at how ridiculous I am .
Exams are coming up soon and am I ready to move on to University or what ? I guess all my my marks will say .

I close the book and get comfortable in my bed . My phone vibrates before I get to close my eyes and I smile up at the name .
