You claim you are holy,

But what does your soul practice?

Do you believe to your very core,

And not just simply act it?

You say you're pure,

But you only have sex and get wasted,

You're no longer swimming,

Just drowning in all the alcohol you've tasted.

Now i'm no expert,

But I thought when you were in pain,

He was the one to come down,

And free you from your chains.

But here's the kicker,

What does religion have to do with God?

When God is honest,

And the people in the religion hold the facade.

I mean what does "religion" really do?

Does it reach your heart? Your core?

That should be your faith in Jesus,

Not just a long list of chores.

But how can you only act,

and not be true?

Because I thought when he died on that cross,

He was thinking about you.
