Reyna and Thalia were always those lovely lesbian youtuber couples that just made the entirety of the internet dying because of the cuteness and how both of these powerful women slay the whole industry. The whole thought of doing a video with the both of them got Magnus nervous and fidgety.
"Jesus Christ, Magnus." Alex scoffed as she watched him from her mirror, lining her eyes with some glittery gold eyeliner she bought at some shop while they were apartment-hunting a day ago. Apparently, not one apartment anywhere made it to their standards—and Alex had time to invite the most powerful lesbian couple in YouTube to do a video with both of them just because she was frustrated over not finding a perfect place to live in with a significant other.
Magnus wasn't happy with finding nothing either. The longer they don't spend time together in one shared space was killing them both. Morning walks to Alex's place got a lot more bothersome, getting out of bed seemed so much like a pain, even taking a bath was so hard to do because they can fucking do it in each others' space. Sure, they could have just slept over each others' place, but the thought of it seemed so unnatural that Alex had the nerve to go home while Magnus was still sleeping. Which made Magnus agitated because, being the sappy piece of shit he is, he loved waking up to see Alex's face, with her petite frame close to his and her arms wrapped around him—limbs in a tangle, eyes closed with her lashes and her freckles up close.
Yeah, Magnus was so fucking in love. "What am I supposed to do?! Be excited? I'm not. They're great and all, but what if I fuck up?"
"I'm here, right?" Alex turned to him as she finished putting on a yellow turban on her hair, smiling coyly at her own expression before making home base on Magnus' eyes. "You'll be fine. Just be yourself."
"You tell me that all the time." Magnus countered, remembering all those time Alex said to be himself but had been scolded on why the ever loving fuck would you do that? "And every time, you scold me about doing what I just did."
"See, the viewers love that!" Alex joked as she walked towards her boyfriend. "What I'm saying is that you'll eventually fuck up anyway. Over and over and over and over, and it will still be great because when you fuck up, it only means that you're doing what you do most."
"Was that's supposed to encourage me?" Magnus raised an eyebrow.
Alex simply twined her hands through his hair and kissed the tip of his nose. "Okay, let me rephrase." She said, kissing him square on the lips this time. "You may be a fuck up, but you're the greatest fuck up ever. And also because you're my greatest fuck up ever."
Magnus hummed gingerly and put a hand on her cheek, kissing her back. "You never fail to surprise me."
"That's because you never expect, do you?"
"What can I say, it's my anxiety." Magnus shrugged and Alex just laughed.
"Don't we all?" She remarked. "I get anxiety over many things, honestly. I just don't show it."
"I know." Magnus said as he laid his head on the crook of her shoulder. "You don't have to open up to me about that. I know you hate opening yourself up, it makes you feel vulnerable. I don't have to know, you don't have to tell me. I respect your privacy."
Alex sighed, caressing Magnus' hair. She never really thought about how Magnus thinks of her being too private. Of course, despite of Magnus being very close to her and all that, she still has a few issues she'd rather not talk about. Magnus was right. She hated vulnerability, she hated having someone who knew everything about her—unless it was Magnus. Everything with him was automatic, as if it was meant to happen, meant to be. And even when she still has that whispering voice in her mind about him leaving her in the end—she still felt calm in his arms. Still felt serenity in his eyes. And maybe that was the whole thing with Magnus. He was like the calm before the storm.
"Magnus," Alex said as she put both her hands on Magnus' cheeks and lifted them so she could stare at him through his eyes. "Thank you for respecting my privacy. It's just that, I'm not used to opening it up, I'm just more used to people trying to read me—knowing they'll read me wrong, so I don't correct them. But you, on the other hand," she smiled at him, "you don't need correcting. You know how to read me properly, know how to get what I'm actually feeling. And for that, I'm really lucky to have you in my life, so straighten up now because we still have to do a video with the greatest lesbian couple of all time."
Magnus laughed and kissed her. "I love you so much."

"Hello everyone, it's Thalia Grace here together with my partner Reynaaaaaa."
"Is that how you address your girlfriend?" Alex snorted in the background.
"And also with Alex Fierro and Magnus Chase. You know, the very controversial LGBTQ+ couple right now." Thalia continued, smirking as Reyna rolled her eyes.
"Heard they're overcoming our fame." That earned a gasp from Thalia as Magnus and Alex just laughed at the remark. Reyna, in her all serious and scary self, was not a great one for comedy or humor or anything related to making other people laugh without feeling threatened. Thalia wouldn't say it, but she finds that so cute whenever people get scared when Reyna makes a bling joke.
Alex winked at the camera. "Well, you know me. I'm so gay."
"Not as gay as me, though." Thalia winked back. Reyna just rolled her eyes, but proceeded on mentally agreeing. Thalia was, afterall, very gay. "Anyway, for this video, we decided on just talking about the ups and downs of LGBTQ+ couples—not in a private way, but you know, just personal experiences. Wanna start, Magnus?"
Magnus twitched, feeling slightly panicked. He turned slightly to Alex, with her meeting his gaze and just smiled at him—as if that helped—in a silent way of encouragement. "Uh, I guess the biggest up is when people acknowledge the relationship as something brave. Like when people tell me that I'm so brave for letting myself out and influencing people in the process. People say it's cute and all, and really it is, but the biggest kind of influence I have when speaking out about me coming out and being in a relationship with the biggest 'up' in this relationship, is when a follower of mine got inspired in coming out and fighting for their relationship."
"I agree with Magnus there," Alex started. "Really, I am the 'biggest up' in this relationship. But you know, I also agree with the whole influencing thing."
"Yeah, how so?" Reyna said after nodding politely.
"It's just that—we're YouTubers, I know you guys know this too. We have an audience, we have thousands of pairs of eyes watching us. We have many minds thinking about how we function, how we go—and maybe they'd want to do the things we do too. Maybe they'd want to come out after we've come out, maybe they'd want to fight for their happiness and freedom like we had. Influence is a big part of our career, and why not make the most of it?"
"Yeah, that's the thing." Reyna said and wrapped an arm around Thalia's shoulders. "People tell us all the time that we're a power couple, and they even told us that we were so many LGBTQ+ folks' inspiration in their coming out stories—and holding that much influence, being a part of something that made someone free, that was so overwhelming in our part."
"The only down I get is when this little shit steals majority of my wardrobe's content. Like my shirts? Not anymore. They're her pajamas now, and she hates me if I take them back."
"You're one to talk, you stole my bras." Reyna interjected. Thalia only rolled her eyes.
"I only stole them because you keep wearing mine!"
"Oh please, yours are too small."
"Excuse me, I do not care."
"Enough talk about boobs, and your lack of them." Reyna said as Alex just laughed at them.
"Well, the only down I had with this dude was when we didn't know how to make this function. I guess. It's kind of hard when you're dating someone like Magnus—you don't know if he's just really that understanding and kind and the comfort I felt with him made me feel confused if he was showing romance or was he just someone who really understood me."
Magnus just shrugged. "What can I say? I'm a natural romantic." Then he winked at the camera.
"And," Alex rolled her eyes. "You also have to deal with his awkward ass all the fucking time."
"Oh c'mon! You love me!"
"Yeah I do."
"Okay, break it up you two! We still have a lot to talk about." Thalia said as she smiled nonetheless. Seeing other LGBTQ+ couples having a lovely time or just being free and happy with each other was something Thalia enjoyed on witnessing, and of course, experiencing. "Why aren't you that sweet to me, Rey? Am I not gay enough?"
"Thalia, you're too gay." Reyna rolled her eyes.
"Bet we can't out-romance this couple afterall."
Reyna scoffed and kissed Thalia square on her lips. "Oh, please."
