Such a lovely island. Seems a shame for it to be out there.
So I’ll just catch– No. It says snag. Why did I say catch? God. Don’t be an idiot.
[sigh]
Okay. Lovely island, blah blah blah….
So I’ll just snag it with a rope and take it away.
… What is this lady even writing about? I get that she’s a really great poet but…
Augh! I shouldn’t get sidetracked. I have a week and a week only to memorize this.
[shudder]
I don’t want a repeat of last year’s poetry week. Cramming that whole poem into my brain the night before… I’m surprised I remembered the first stanza. Luckily this one is short…
[sigh]
[muttering] Lovely island… So laughed a sailor from the North… He’s lying. He’s lying….
[normal volume] This is short. I can get this in like a day or two. I have time. [throws paper]
[sits at their desk] Now, let us look at a form of storytelling that’s much more superior to poetry. Video games. Yes. The story of a corporation of cyborgs and a rebel group. Much more interesting than a sailor trying to buy an island or whatever.
