You sigh as you run your hands through your H/C hair. It's been a very long night and you just wanted it to be over. It seemed as if all the villains of Gotham decided to attack on the same day. It got so bad that you had to get Batgirl and Nightwing involved.
You were all sitting on the rooftop when you hear screaming and yelling coming from the alleyway to your right. You make eye contact with Bruce before jumping down to see what the problem was. When you got down there you saw a little girl being pinned against the wall by some dude.
"Hey! Get your hands off of her!" You scream with confidence in your voice.
His attention quickly changes to you and he loosens his grip on the girl. Still not enough to let her run away.
"Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do?" He threatens. You look up and see Bruce on the rooftop watching you waiting for the right time to jump down.
You smirk at him, "This." You say as Batman jumps down and tackles the guy to the ground. You run up to the, now crying, little girl and pick her up in your arms.
"Hey, hey it's ok. Where's you mom?" You say in a gentle voice. Right then you see a grown lady come around the corner and rush over to her daughter.
"Oh there you are, Khloe! Don't you ever run away again." You watch them walk away with a smile on your face.
~Time skip to when you get home~
You finally got home after that long day. You were greeted by a really annoyed Damian and a very hyper Skylar. You kind of felt bad for making him watch her. You know how hyper she can get.
"Mommy, Mommy!" She screams as she runs up to you and gives you a hug.
"Hello sweetheart!" You say in a loving voice. You turn your attention towards Damian. "Hello Damian." He was staring at you hugging Skylar and seemed to have a sad expression for a moment. He glared up at you as a response before walking away.
'What's his problem.' You wondered. Skylar looks up at you with sad eyes before jumping off of you and running after her brother.
Skylar's POV
My brother was very mad for some reason and I intend to figure out why. I walk towards his door and knock on it. I hear him yell, "Go away." From the other side of the door. I sigh and try for the door knob but it's locked. I look around a see that there's a key on top of the door but it's way to high for me to be able to get to it. I look around the room and spot a chair I could use. I eventually pull the chair over with some books and pile them on top of each other. Finally I am able to grab the key and open the door.
I walk inside and see brother on his bed, laying stomachs down. I walk over to him and sit beside him. He turn his head and looks at me.
"Go away, Skylar." He snaps while looking away from me. I ignore him and pull on his sleeve. He pulls his arm away and sits up. "I said go away!" He yells while pushing me off the bed.
3rd person P.O.V
You sit up as you hear a loud thump then Skylar crying. You run into Damian's room and see him sitting on his bed while Skylar is on the floor with tears streaming down her face. Skylar runs out the door leaving you with an angry Damian.
You walk up to him cautiously. "What's wrong, Damian?" He glares up at you.
"Shouldn't you go take care of your precious daughter." He says with hatred dripping in his voice. You sigh as you walk towards him and sit on his bed. You are about to ask him what's wrong again before he snaps at you.
"You love her more than me anyways so go take care of her!" He has tears in his eyes threatening to fall. "I'm just someone you felt sorry for and took in." He cry's out.
You are left shocked and confused. You didn't know what to say to that. He was wrong of course! You didn't love Skylar more than Damian.
"Damian that's not true." His face softened a bit as you say those words. "I love both of you equally. I don't love Skylar any more or any less than I love you." You say with a smile. He looks at you and smiles back. You pull him into a hug. "Now why don't we go watch a movie together."
Hey guysss... I'm so so so so sorry for being gone for so long. I had terrible writers block and school was just so over bearing. But now it's summer! Yay! And I'm thinking this story may be coming to a close soon. I think I'm going to be doing one last big chapter. I'll try to make it as good and as long as I can! Thank you guys so much for reading. (And yes I know the ending was very cheesy but come on, who doesn't love a happy ending)
