We got home at 9.45pm. Home as in our parents house next door. Everyone was in the sitting room, including Trent, Joel, Cole and Kasey.
"What's the occasion?" I asked, they all smiled "So you've heard then?"
"It's great news" Dad beamed. Okay...proud parent in overload here. Kane took my hand and squeezed it.
"Baby girl do you want to tell them the news?" He rubbed my stomach. Everyone's mouths dropped open. Good job I can act,
"No...you tell them" I answered shyly,
"We're having a baby too"
"WHAT" Dad boomed.
"You're...you're..." Susannah stuttered,
"Only a week gone" I said,
"KANE JOEY TURNER A WORD...PLEASE"
We both burst out laughing, Wyatt looked at me and smiled. Glad he finally figured we were joking.
"I don't find this funny" Susannah said
"This is a joke right" Trent said,
"You...should...have...seen...your...faces..." Kane said through his laughing fit,
"I'm not really pregnant...I promise...it's a joke"
"THAT WAS NOT FUNNY" Dad shouted,
"Kane...Lyric, upstairs before Charlie blows a fuse" Susannah said,
"Kane...I think you made my Dad hate you" I told him as we walked up the stairs,
"Probably...but it just came into my head and it felt like it was the right moment to do it...thanks for playing along"
"Hey their faces were a classic" I said flopping on the bed. "Just steer clear of him for a few days okay"
"I don't need to be told" The door opened and Joel came in,
"I honestly thought you guys were serious...I thought I had to kill you Kane"
"Yeah sorry 'bout that...just seemed like a now or never moment"
"My Dad's still fuming by the way"
"Figured as much"
"So were you all in their because of Trent's news?" I asked
"No...not just that...Cole and Kasey are moving into their own place in town, Cole's not road tripping and obviously neither is Trent now"
"My brothers moving out" Kane said,
"Yep"
"Where is he?"
"Downstairs still I think" Kane left the room,
"Your really not pregnant are you?" Joel asked,
"No Joel, I'm really not pregnant...I would have told you as soon as I knew"
"Well you two oughta go to drama school then..go down the acting route"
"Well what can I say...I'm talented" I smiled
"So it's just you, me, Kane and Wyatt for the first few days of our road trip"
"The old gang back in business" I said.

The next morning...
"How's your shoulder baby?"
"Could be better...you can kiss it for me" I laughed and carefully gave him a trail of kisses along his shoulder,
"What are you up to today? He asked
"(Kiss)...meeting...(Kiss)...with Della...(Kiss)...Trent...(Kiss)...and I",
"Can I come?"
"No...you have to get your shoulder better so we can go on our ROAD TRIP...Woo"
"Fine" I moved and sat in front of him and kissed him softly "I love you"
"I love you the most"
"Nah...I love you the mostest" I laughed and pushed him down carefully "Get healed...I'll see you later" I jumped off the bed and got changed into some high waisted red shorts and a cropped light blue shirt.
"Do you really have to leave me?" Kane asked
"Yes I'm afraid...you'll be fine without me, you'll probably be on the PS3 or XBOX all day"
"But it's not you is it"
"You're 22 years old...you can live without me for a few hours...stop acting like a baby"
"But I can't live without you baby girl...I love you soooooooo much" I laughed,
"And I love you sooooooo much too, but I'm off" I kissed him goodbye and walked out.
"We'll get breakfast on the way" Trent told me,
"Yeah, that's cool"

"So you okay with me, not going on this road trip?"
"No of course not...but obviously you kind of have a good reason why your not going"
"We'll definitely have to go away for the weekend...you and me"
"Yes...and sooner rather than later, because when your a Dad you'll be rushed off your feet" he laughed,
"Definitely"

At Della's flat after our Mac breakfast (Yes I'm obsessed).
"Congratulations Della...I'm soooo pleased for you" I beamed hugging her,
"Thank you, I just can't believe it"
"My brother's been treating you right yeah"
"He's been absolutely amazing" she kissed him. Awww.
"So are you going to find out the gender when you can?" I asked as we sat in the living room.
"Well we're not sure yet" Della replied
(Right before I continue I must tell you about Della; she's also 25 and met Trent when he moved here four years ago...I guess it was love at first sight as they've been together ever since. I'm honestly amazed that their not married yet. Della is beautiful, lovely brown curly hair, amazing brown eyes and a great...no wait...fantastic personality. She's going to be an awesome Mum. They are totally made for each other)
"But what are you hoping for?"
"A healthy happy boy or girl" She said "But if I had a choice then a boy first, then a girl...so my son would beat up any boy than makes my little girl and his little sister cry".

The three of us were sat in Ronaldo and Marcelo's cafe eating cheese and ham paninis when I got a text:

"There's a surprise waiting for me at home"
"Does that mean you want to go?" Trent said. I grinned,
"No...I'll stay a bit longer"
"Delz...when it comes to surprises she is mad"
"What...I am not" Trent gave me the look, I smiled
"Okay...maybe I am...I wonder what it is...oh I can't wait" Della and Trent laughed at me.
A looooooooooong 20 minutes later. Well it was to me.
"See you soon Delz'...and you baby" she chuckled,
"Enjoy your suprise"
"I will...bye"
"Bye" I ran off to the car,
"I love you honey...see you soon"
"Tomorrow?"
"Yes...tomorrow"

When we pulled up at the house, I saw Kane stood their looking as gorgeous as ever in tan chinos and a white shirt with 'what...me?' on in black letter, the shirt was moulded to his body to show off his muscles and abs. His hair was scruffy and messy, just how he liked it and it suited him too. He was smiling at me. That cheeky school boy grin which always makes me smile back. I got out of the car and walked over to him, he kissed me so delicately it made me hungry for more,
"Trent" He said,
"Kane" Trent acknowledged then walked in.
"What's my surprise?" I asked,
"Wait and see" He took my hand and we walked into the house. When I saw candles littering the hallways and white and red roses, my heart sped up. We stopped at the sitting room door which was closed.
"Shut your eyes baby girl...no peeking" I did what I was told, he guided me in. I think to the middle of the room. It was so quiet, my heart was pumping majorly fast.
"You can open your eyes"
Hey...that was Wyatt's voice, I snapped open my eyes. The sitting room was lit with millions of candles, flowers: red, white, yellow and purple roses and pictures were all over the place, everyone, so: Wyatt, Joel, Trent, Cole, Daddy, Susannah and Frank were sat on the sofas. I looked at their faces, I think they were wondering what was going on as much as I was, apart from Wyatt, I knew him too well and possibly my brothers. Kane wasn't in the room, I looked around again; one picture in particular caught my eye, it was last year on the beach, the sun had just began to set leaving a orange and yellow glow behind us, I was on Kane's back in my red bikini, he'd just dunked me in the sea and I'd chased him jumping on his back, my arms were loosely hung around his shoulders, we were both laughing. I really do love that picture. I was about to say something when Kane came in, his hands behind his back. He walked up to me.
Oh my God, my heart should not be pumping this fast.
When he was right in front of me...he...knelt down on one knee,
"Oh My God" I said, Susannah gasped,
"Lyric Tammara Riley...I love you more than air...more than life itself, you're the most beauitful, kind, caring down to earth person I know and I want to spend the rest of my life with you...I will be there for you forever and NEVER stop loving you...will you marry me?" tears were rolling down my cheeks, I looked at him,
"Yes..one trillion percent yes...Oh My God Kane I love you more than life too...YES"
He took the engagement ring out, gosh it was beautiful, he slipped it on my finger, perfect fit. He stood up and I jumped into his arms, kissing him.
The rest of the evening was a blur, so much congratulations, laughter, tears (Me again...set off by Susannah), a lot of stern words from Dad to Kane. But I know Dad loved Kane like ANOTHER son years and years ago. Words of pleasure and happiness from Frank and Susannah. I also found out that Wyatt was Kane's right hand man in the whole proposal thing, and that Joel and Trent also knew. I must've been so oblivious.
It was just mad. Never in a million years did I think that at 19 I would be engaged, let alone engaged to KANE TURNER!
5 hours later...
"That was the biggest suprise ever" I said snuggling up to him. "Never did I think I'd be engaged and especially to you"
"I love you more than any words can say baby girl, you're going to be mine forever"
"Are you sure this isn't a extremely realistice dream"
"100% sure" He told me as we drifted off to sleep.
