The number of skilled pilots that are able to continue to fly, while resisting a blocker invasion, are too few to count. Heine Burton was able to effortlessly resist the blocker while pulling off near impossible maneuvers to avoid thetracking missile. In front of such amazing skill, Xiao felt insignificant.
For the first time in his life, Xiao felt a faint sense of longing.
He wanted that man to stop and look at him. To fill the view of those cold and relentless eyes... without mockery or contempt, even just the calm gaze he gave to Liv and Mark.
At his own thoughts, Xiao laughed. What are you thinking? This is Heine Burton.

That night Colonel Raven and Heine were eating together at the base's cafeteria. Occasionally people would sneak glances in their direction.
"Is that possible?Those two having dinner? Doesn't Col. Raven despise Heine Burton?"
Xiao Yan also looked. Heine had the same expression he always had, although extremely handsome, no one would dare approach him.
"I keep wondering, what a unique student he must be for you to personally carry him back to the base."

Heine continued to chew carefully. From a distance Xiao Yan admired his patience, the meals at the base were quite unpleasant and difficult to swallow.
Colonel Raven looked at Heine's expression and realized that, no matter what he said or asked, the other party would respond with nothing but indifference.
"Ah,I forgot to tell you that Xiao Yan simulated your flight path with 94% accuracy. This was not the input from the terminal database, but his own neuronal processing. Your brains are quite compatible."

Maya crawled atop the dining table like a sleek sexy cat. Her lips pressed agianst Xiao's and her tongue intertwined with his. Everthing was quickly spinning out of control, until a harsh scolding rang through the mess hall.
"Maya you brat! You are doing it again!" Liv stood at the table with her arms folded and stared coldly at Maya.
At the interruption Xiao suddenly came to his senses. He noticed that Maya was still sitting accross from him, her chin propped on her hand.
Xiao sighed in relief and slumped back against the chair. What had just happened? Why did he hallucinate such a scene of Maya climbing the table and kissing him?
Maya's charming expression changed into one of irrritated impatiance and she waved her hand at liv.
"I don't need your consent, Liv"
That melodious husky voiced deepened into a low gruff timbre...a man's voice!
At this time, the feminine features on Maya's face disappeared. The seductive sleek gestures were replaced by the agressive movement of a male soldier.
"This ... ...what is going on?" Xiao Yan is now very aware Maya is a fully grown man.
Liv sneered, grabbing onto Maya's shoulder.
"Although he has no shame, Maya is one of our comrades. He does not have a good reputation. He loves men but the within the special task force there are few who are willing. Ordinary officers are too cautious around male special forces, so he resorts to this trickory to fool ignorant reserves like you who don't conrol their desires well. Don't be fooled by him and remember what I said to you on the aircraft."
Remember? How could he forget!
Liv hooked her fingers under Maya's chin.
"You're obviously a rude and violent man. Imitating female speech patterns and gestures... aren't you making things more difficult for yourself?"
"Of course it is difficult, but if I want to bed someone, I must do it."

Liv punched him in the head, "Really! You never stop!"
At that moment a voice pierced the air with such command that Xiao felt his world tremble and fragment.
"Maya, your action report is a disaster."
Maya's head turned in the direction of the voice. Suddenly his eyes transformed to cold still waters and he quickly stood up.
"Yes Colonel, I will correct it rightaway."
Maya hurried off with a serious look and Liv breathed a sigh of relief. "Xiao you are very lucky.Usually the same day Maya sets his sights on someone they end up pressed to his bed. That guy doesn't have a shred of moral integrity."
Xiao was still immersed in his own deep thoughts.
Liv reached her hand over and twisted Xiao cheek.
"Ah!"
The pain broke through the remnants of the unspeakable illusion Maya had tangled around his thoughts.
"Xiao you really need to exercise some discipline, otherwise any of our commandos will be able to easily lure and kill you."

That afternoon Liv found Maya crying and beating the terminal.
"I don't write action reports. Everyone knows that."

"Why did Heine still want me to rewrite it? I've already revised it 82 times."
"Did you accidently get your hair in his face again?"
"Absolutely not."Maya said forcefully.
He cherished his long hair, but it can become troublesome when in combat. One time his hair had accidentally come loose while dispatching zombies. Some of it brushed against Colonel Burton's shoulders and he mercilessly pulled his blade out and sliced Maya's hair off on the spot. Seeing the strands fall almost drove Maya to tears.
"Then I don't know, I wish you good luck. I hope that the 83rd rewrite passes."
"Hey you really shouldn't have stopped me. I almost reeled in that lovely student. It has been so long since I have seen a pure Asian. Those brown eyes looking at me, so....oh..."
"I warn you, do not play with that one." At Liv's statement Maya's eye lit up in excitement. He shook Liv's shoulders with a wealth of enthusiasm.

Note: Maya seems to hold a higher rank than Mark and Liv, but the translation comes out as quasi prep middle, or something equally difficult to decipher. Maybe if I had more knowledge of rank it would make sense, but it doesn't and I couldn't figure out what was being said, so I just omitted it.

I noticed that there are some spacing issues when I publish--- Words are being pressed together at random intervals. I use a free writing program so I don't know if that is the issue. I am very sorry. It will probably happen with this one as well. I am trying to figure out what is going on, and what I have done to make it so. It doesn't show up on my view, just on the reader's view, so it took me a long time to even notice that it was happening.
