Today is fathers day and India and Hollie have spent all morning making cards for whenever John wakes up. India has been very quiet since the whole school incident but she is happy and excited to give John her card.
Hollie's card is full of whirley lines in different colours and India's card is a drawing of her holding John's hand and inside she wrote HAPPY DADDY'S DAY DADDY I LOVE YOU MORE THAN I LOVE MY TEDDY and she wrote her name at the bottom followed by hundreds of kisses.
John walked into the kitchen his hair all askew and looking adorably sleepy followed by Yoko who looked well miserable.India ran straight towards John and jumped on him and hugged him tightly
"Happy daddy's day " she giggled
" thank you princess"
John set India down and picked up Hollie and gave her a kiss and a cuddle then set her down onto Cynthia's lap
" Daddy i made you a card" India shouted
" you did?"
" yes"
India passed the card to her dad and he smiled while looking at it
" that's beautiful princess thank you love"
Hollie also gave John a card though he had to prize her fingers off it as she did not want to let go of it
" thank you sweetheart thats beautiful"
" Daddy i wrote a song for you" India said shyness now taking over her
" you wrote me a song "
' uh huh"
" can i hear it? will you sing it for me'
India stood right in front of john and began to sing her voice sounding so adorable
" i love you daddy

nobodys daddy is as perfect as you

John and Cynthia started to clap and cheer making India blush
" that was the best song that i have ever heard"
' don't be silly your songs are better"
" no there not you will have to teach me how to write such a beautiful song"
India jumped onto Johns lap and John started to play with her hair"
" Daddy"

" do you like being a daddy?"
" i do i love it its the best thing to be"

" do you think uncle George gets sad because he is not a daddy"
the question threw John and he struggled to answer it as he knew that George was desperate to be a dad but sadly Pattie was unable to have children
" i think he would love to be a daddy"
" then why isnt he"
' well Pattie is not able to have babies"

" well as George wants to be a daddy can he be my second daddy"
" your second daddy"
" yeah your my real daddy and he can be my second daddy like my back up daddy"
" why would you want another daddy?"
'well then George would then be a daddy and he would then not be sad because he would have me"
" i think that's a lovely idea love"
" im going to make him a card can he come over to collect it"

India started to make her card for George and John went and told Cynthia that george is calling round with Paul and that India wanted him to be her second daddy and Cynthia nearly cried at the lovelyness of her own daughter
there was a knock on the door and John answered it and brought George and Paul to the living room
" why did you say i had to come over straight away" George asked
" i can't tell you"
" i had to leave Pattie making the dinner with Linda and all the maccartney kids so we have to be going soon"
" hello Uncle Paul" India screamed running straight to Paul and giving him a cuddle
" Ello squirt"
" hello Georgie porgie" India giggled
" Ello ya monster"
"Uncle Georgie"
' yeah"
" you know how you are not a daddy yet"
" well yes" he answered feeling confused as to where this could lead
" do you want to be a daddy?'
George started to blush
" um well yeah i would"
" well i know that auntie Pattie has a bad belly and she cant have babies move into her belly"
" that's right"
George looked at Paul who was giggling
" sorry Geo for laughing its the way she explained it was so cute it made me giggle sorry son"
" well i want you to be my second daddy"
" your second dadddy what do you mean?"
" well you will be my daddy as well as my real daddy"
' i can't do that India"
" why?"
" because John is your daddy not me"
" i know you are my back up daddy incase daddy goes away again then id have you"
" but you can't have two daddys"
" i can though daddy will always be my favourite daddy and you can be my second favourite daddy it will be fun"
George looked up at John the confusion written all over his face
" Geo she does not want you to feel bad because you arent a dad yet and wants you to be another dad she thinks it will make you feel better "
" but i can't do that John"
John grabs George's arm and pulls him into the kitchen away from India
" look Geo i know it sounds so weird but all it means that when she see's you she will probs call you second daddy or something like that you aint got to do anything at all she just feels so bad because Pattie cant have kids so she wants you to be a daddy and thought that you can be hers. just play along with it Geo"
" alright "
They both walked back into the living room to see India in the middle of being tickled by Paul
" well India i would love to be your second dadddy" George said laughing
" yeah i can give you your card then"
" what card ?"
" your fathers day card silly moo moo"
India grabbed the card and gave it to George and George nearly started to cry when he saw what she wrote on it
" To my other daddy
i love you georgie porgie
now you have a kid
love you lots
india"
George could not believe what had happened he loved India and always thought of her as a daughter he would ever be able to have and now he was a daddy at last
