"(Your Dog's Name)!" you holler as you attempt to grasp onto the leash, only to fail miserably.
Numerous people take a gander at the scene. You ignore the gazes and laughter, focusing solely on your companion. "(Y/D/N)! Sit!"
Your dog doesn't oblige and proceeds to dash away from you. "Where are you going?!" You halt for a moment to catch your breath; your perspiring hands are on your knees. "Well... at least I'm finally getting some exercise in."
"Hey! Are you alright?" a stentorian shout causes you to glance up. "Man... who's dog is this?"
Oops...
Up ahead, a male fell in a sprawl with your dog on top of him. Sending a sheepish smile toward the small group of people nearby, you go posthaste to your dog.
"Sorry! My dog is very energetic and loves to meet new people," you explain to the shouting male from earlier. Shifting your gaze to the one on the ground, you offer a hand. "Are you okay?"
You steel yourself for a hostile reply.
Surprisingly, he takes your hand with a euphonious laugh. "Does my face look scary or something? You look terrified!" Well... if anything, his face is the definition of beautiful.
"I'm fine! Are you fine?" you ask.
"Yeah, totally!"
"Okay! Great!"
"Yeah!"
Not knowing how else to prolong the conversation, you seize the leash with your exuberant dog who has their tongue lolling out. As if matters couldn't get any worse, your dog decides to hurtle around the male. "(Y/D/N), NO!" You teeter toward the two, cursing under your breath.

This dog is going to be the death of me.
"Well... now we aren't fine," (C/N) says. "This has been quite a day! Quite a day..." he speaks in an undertone. "I can already imagine how this will play out. They will ask me how my day has been and I'll tell them that I got wrapped in a dog's leash and a beautiful girl fell on top of me and there will be laughter because I mean, who am I kidding! This guy is a loser who can't even get a text, let alone a hello from anyone!"
Fell? Me? On top of?
Taking in the current position, heat crawl up to your face and you promptly roll off of the blabbering male. Seeing that the leash is taut around his body, your hands attempt to free him.
"Woah, hey! I'm fine! Are you fine?"
You stop your vain attempt to help him and give him a lopsided grin. "I guess I'm fine..." you mumble, fiddling your fingers. You're already abashed enough and don't desire to speak anymore in fear of spluttering some nonsense, which is something you do whenever you get agitated.
"Is it too late to ask for your name? Preeeety sure your name isn't fine. If it is, I'm not one to judge!" He smiles from ear to ear with twinkling eyes. "I'm (C/N)... and you areeee?"
The way he's unable to move due to the leash is quite an indelible sight. If you were in his place, you wouldn't be sitting still; you would free yourself from the leash. Perhaps your dog sprinting into (C/N) isn't such an unpleasant thing...
"(Y/N)!"
