The sun rose on the cold winter morning, shining its light over the land of Gondor. Alannah slowly began to stir out of her slumber, the scent of trees and fresh grass drifting into her nose. Her lips turned up into a smile as she knew that the familiar scent only belonged to one person who happened to be lying beside her. She moved to rest her head on his chest, listening to the soft drumming of his heart. With each beat she felt she could easily slip back to sleep but kept her eyes open, admiring his sleeping face. After a few moments he opened his eyes to see Alannah's green orbs staring at him.

"This will be the best thing to wake to for eternity." Legolas softly spoke as he tucked a piece of loose hair behind Alannah's ear. As she smiled, Legolas watched the morphing of her facial expressions, even the minute details to remember. Alannah sat up in bed and bent down, catching his lips in her own. She lay back onto her pillow and pulled the blankets around them, remembering she was to go to the Houses of Healing.

"We should just stay here." Alannah joked. "It's warm and I have no need for anything outside this room." Legolas pulled the blankets over their heads and pulled her close to him. He enveloped her in a deep kiss, letting his tongue meld with hers. The morning light cast a warm glow between the blankets, creating a soft and comforting world for them to linger in.

"Perhaps we could reside here. I proclaim you Lady of the bed linens! But whatever would we do if we were to get bored?" Legolas purred. "There's only so much in this small kingdom you've created meleth nin." Legolas began kissing her neck, enjoying the tension he could feel rousing within her.

"I'm sure we could figure something out." She choked out, taken by his advances. Legolas let his tongue drag against her collar bone before pushing his lips back to hers. It was all too tempting for her as she felt him instinctually push his body closer and she politely pulled away. Legolas easily picked up on her cue and instead laid on the pillow and pulled her back onto his chest. He pulled her long braid loose and smiled as her dark waves spread across the bed. The couple felt serene and peaceful as they lay together on the bed with the warm rays of sunlight pouring onto them.

"The night of the celebration in Rohan, an old friend from home visited me in the night." Legolas revealed.

"Is everything ok in the woodland realm?" Alannah asked worriedly as she sat up in bed. Legolas pulled himself up to sit beside her, smiling as he held her hands.

"All is well. My father's forces are staving off orc attacks each day but I am certain they will persevere. We always do." Legolas's eyes drifted down to Alannah's bare neck again and his lips were drawn to it like a magnet as he began placing soft kisses on her skin. "By now, my father has received word of our betrothal. I'm sure my father is preparing the largest feast the Woodland Realm has ever seen."

Alannah squealed from joy as she wrapped her arms around Legolas and jumped into his lap. He was slightly taken aback by her excitement but he quickly matched her enthusiasm. Legolas stood, easily lifting Alannah into his arms and walking out onto the balcony. The cold wind whipped their hair around each other as Legolas lifted her to sit on the balcony rail. Alannah took Legolas's face in her hands and held it close to hers. They couldn't help but smile at each other between kisses and whispers of affection as they stood out in open view, wearing only their bed clothes.

Suddenly, Legolas whipped his head to the side and pulled Alannah back into the room.

"Someone is approaching the door. They're only a few paces down the hall." Legolas whispered. He quickly pulled on his leggings and blue tunic before producing a modest robe out of the armoire for Alannah. She was grateful for the respect he had for her modesty and reputation as she watched him rapidly smooth out the blankets on the bed. The knock on the door broke the silence in the room as Legolas casually walked over to open it. Aragorn stood in the doorway, finally appearing well rested for once.

Legolas looked back at Alannah to make sure she was decent before stepping aside and inviting him inside.

"Good morning." Aragorn spoke as he nodded at Legolas and smiled at Alannah. It was obvious to Aragorn he may have caught them in the middle of an intimate moment from the flush on Alannah's cheeks. He looked away for a moment to hide his grin, making no mention of it.

"We're meeting in the throne room shortly." Aragorn announced with a more serious tone.

"I'll walk with you." Legolas responded. He quickly pulled on his boots and jerkin before clasping his elven cloak around his shoulders.

"You won't be long?" Aragorn asked Alannah. She shook her head as she walked over to the armoire Legolas had left open.

"No, I'll be just a few minutes." Alannah said as she sorted through the few gowns she owned. Legolas leaned over and planted a soft kiss on her lips before following Aragorn out the door.

Alannah pulled out a dark yellow gown, letting her fingers trace over the fabric fondly. It was her favorite dress since it was light and casual, perfect for a day void of parties or battles. She turned the latch to lock the door before pulling off her robe and gown and stepping into the dress. Gandalf had brought it to her a few years prior as a gift for her birthday and it was an item that was dear to her heart. The familiar cloth was comforting against her skin and she felt more like herself again, before her life had changed so drastically. She chose to wear her hair down as she slipped on her boots, admiring that though a bit odd, they paired well with the daffodil hued garment.

As she stepped out of her room and walked down the corridor, she noticed a strange combination of energies. The calm before the storm as most would describe it, except the calm just happened to be settled between the ends of one battle in preparation for another. Her chest tightened at the thought of Frodo and Sam in the depths of Mordor and prayed that somehow, they would fulfill their quest and once again be home safe in the Shire.

The throne room was quiet as she entered. Gimli still sat propped in the black chair of the steward, puffing on a pipe. Aragorn and Legolas stood with Eomer, discussing what the next move should be. Alannah sat beside Gimli on the stairs to the throne and listened, herself having no suggestion on what to do. They were so close to victory the closer the hobbits got to destroying the ring and with the success of the prior day's battle, they needed to devise a plan, and quickly. They needed to do something to draw away the gaze of the great eye that kept close watch on the dark lands so that the two brave hobbits could succeed.

Legolas looked at Alannah as she was lost in her own deep thoughts and raised an eyebrow at her odd apparel. Her elven boots paired well with the gown, although a stark comparison to what most ladies would wear. She emitted a more relaxed energy and Legolas smiled at her, satisfied to see her how she usually appeared aside from her men's disguise and her elven clothes from Lothlorien. In that moment, she was just Alannah. He cut his attention back to the discussion as Gandalf and Aragorn became incensed in a newly proposed plan.

"We draw out Sauron's armies, empty his lands. Then we gather our full strength and march on the black gate." Aragorn proposed boldly as Gimli choked on his pipe smoke. Alannah was drawn out of her own worried mind, her hope suddenly renewed.

"We cannot achieve victory through strength of arms." Eomer said as he stepped forward. Aragorn was unwavering in his response. "Not for ourselves, but we can give Frodo his chance if we keep Sauron's eye fixed upon us. Keep him blind to all else that moves."

"A diversion." Legolas confirmed as the plan took its form. Even the look of worry for the small hobbits seemed to be lessened as they agreed upon the tactic. Alannah smiled as Gimli nudged her joyfully. Perhaps they die in doing so, but Middle Earth could live on.

After the meeting in the throne room had come to a close, Alannah began her walk to the houses of healing. Legolas walked beside her as they strolled down the streets of the city, remarking at how quickly the people seemed to begin rebuilding and continue on with their lives.

"Everyone here is determined. I believe their hope is returning." Alannah responded. Legolas smiled as he clasped his hand in hers, recognizing the same in her. They were permitted to enter the houses of healing and Alannah quickly found Faramir sitting upright at the end of a bed.

"Faramir, are you alright?" Alannah asked as she carefully embraced him. He smiled as he wrapped his free arm around her, relieved to see his old friend safe after such an ordeal.

"I look worse than I am, but the healers insist I stay until I'm fully healed." He muttered annoyingly before noticing Legolas hovering behind her.

"Your intended, I assume?" Faramir asked as he tried to stand to greet Legolas, always the respectful gentleman. Alannah gently pushed him back down on the bed.

"Please, rest." Alannah insisted. "And yes." She smiled in response. He returned the gesture before bowing his head slightly to Legolas.

"You're a very lucky man and she's a dear friend. You'll take care of her, I'm sure." Faramir laid back on the bed as a healer walked past glaring at him sternly.

"Of course. We will leave you now to rest." Legolas said as he ushered Alannah away. The healers rejected Alannah's offers of assistance, seemingly having everything under control. Alannah frowned as she passed by the injured, feeling a desperate need to help ease their pain.

"They're in capable hands meleth nin, you're intentions are no less honorable." Legolas whispered as he began directing them to the exit. Alannah nodded as he led her around through the building, only to stop when a figure with long, flaxen hair caught her eye.

"Legolas." Alannah gasped. She quickly ran across the houses of healing to a nearby room to confirm whether her mind was playing tricks or not. Sadly, it was the latter as Alannah approached to find Eowyn recovering from battle wounds.

"Eowyn? Why are you here?" Alannah asked worriedly as she kissed her friends cheeks. Eowyn grasped Alannah's hand, happy to see a familiar face.

"I fought in the battle, Alannah. I killed the witch king of Angmar." Eowyn uttered. Legolas retrieved a glass of water and handed it to Alannah as she urged her friend to take sips of the cold liquid.

"I'm alright Alannah. Aragorn healed me." Eowyn smiled as she looked out of the room. Alannah turned her head to see her glancing at Faramir. "And everyone has been kind to me."

Alannah gulped as she looked around, realizing she hasn't seen Theoden.

"What of your uncle?" Alannah managed to ask, dread in her heart growing as Eowyn's smile fell from her face. Eowyn shook her head.

"He is with his father, and their fathers. No grief Alannah, no sadness." Eowyn held Alannah's cheek and pressed her forehead to hers.

"Rest Eowyn. I'll visit you tomorrow." Alannah tearfully kissed her friend goodbye and finally left the houses with Legolas.

He was intent on bringing some cheer to Alannah after hearing of such sad news. Even to Legolas, death was such a foreign concept and although sad, he didn't know how to react to it.

"Show me Minas Tirith, Alannah. Many of the shop keeps have already opened their doors. For once, we have nothing to do for a day or so." Legolas offered. Alannah nodded as she took his hand and led him through the massive capital.

Quickly they behaved like children, giggling as they joked with one another. Although the weather was cold, the sun warmed them quickly as they strolled the streets. It was easier for Alannah to ignore the possibility of their death when they distracted Sauron and his armies than it was to dwell on it. A florist shop had quickly reopened as the shopkeep began wheeling out most of his inventory outside his doorway. Legolas pulled Alannah behind him and looked over the selections. Alannah smelled the fragrant flowers as Legolas produced a gold coin and pressed it into the merchant's palm.

"Th.. thank you sir! For this you may take the whole lot!" The man offered graciously.

"Just these." Legolas lifted a small bouquet of white flowers from the table and handed them to Alannah. The shopkeeper bowed thankfully to Legolas, the one golden coin enough to feed his family for a month.

"How did you know I like lilies?" Alannah questioned as she looked at him from the corner of her eye. Legolas thought back to the night in the Misty Mountains, when Boromir relieved him of his watch to keep Alannah warm, giving his blessing to him and putting away his own pursuit of her heart.

"Lucky guess." Legolas answered, deciding it best not to bring up their fallen companion.

Whispers about the return of the king to Gondor quickly grew to conversations that ran rampant through the city. By evening, it was all but decreed that Aragorn was indeed the return and Isildur's heir. After dinner, Alannah and Legolas returned to her room. The couple was still full of energy although everyone else had sleepily returned to their quarters.

"Yellow suits you." Legolas complimented as he sat at the table, leaning back into his chair as he admired her. "But then again I couldn't imagine any color not suiting you."

Alannah blushed as she playfully turned around. "Perhaps I'll wear it for our wedding?"

Legolas stood and walked toward her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "I'll see to it the most extravagant gown is made for you for such an event."

Alannah shook her head. "You know, I'm not much for extravagant. As long as we're together at the end of the day I'll wear sackcloth if I have to."

"What a sight that would be!" Legolas joked as he gently twirled her. "Anything you want, I'll give to you, even if it is sack cloth."

Alannah smiled widely at him as she sat on the bed to remove her boots. Legolas noticed the journals on the table and picked one up, thumbing through the pages.

"A diary?" He asked as he curiously sat down to read them. Alannah looked up and quickly ran over to snatch it out of his hands, one boot still on.

"These are private!" She exclaimed before hitting him on the shoulder with the leather clad journal. "Besides, they'll bore you I'm sure." Alannah added as she tucked them away in her armoire. She slipped her other boot off and paired it with the other before laying on the bed. Legolas shrugged and joined her, laying on his side so he could still look at her. The quieter the room grew, so did her fear of what was to come when they marched on the black gate.

Legolas was surprised as he watched Alannah quickly fall asleep. Gingerly, he removed her yellow dress and slipped on her nightgown before pulling the blankets over her body. He sat at the table and watched her for a couple hours, the sound of her steady breathing a melodious song in his ears. His eyes flickered over to the armoire, knowing the journals were tucked away. He internally argued with himself on whether he should read them or not before finally giving in and tip toeing over to pluck them from their secret place. Legolas sat himself back at the table and began with the one that appeared to be the oldest and began to read. Her handwriting was sloppy, clearly her child hand's scribbling over the pages. She often wrote of playing with other children, riding in a wagon with Gandalf and her fondness for playing hide and seek. Even at a young age, her words seemed to be twinged with a bit of sadness. Occasionally she would write grand tales of who she dreamt her parents could have been or detailed teasing or cruelness at the hands of other children in villages her and Gandalf would visit.

Legolas closed the journal and picked up the other. This one was definitely the most recent and he noticed her handwriting had much improved. Her frustrations were much more prevalent this time as he scanned the pages, a deep yearning for knowing who she was and how she fit amongst this world. She detailed her day to day in Minas Tirith and he frowned. There was a recurring theme, her waiting for Gandalf's return and her uneasiness at Lord Denethor's advances and allusions to a marriage proposal. Little was said of Boromir, other than a few remarks of kindness in the form of a gift of flowers or an escort through the city. Alannah was definitely bored here, feeling trapped. One passage caught his eye though, and he couldn't help but blush as he read what she had written.

'I do not wish to be left here like a forgotten piece of old furniture in an attic. These white walls of this beautiful city are growing more to resemble a tomb to me. I feel the steward's eyes on me each time he requests my company and it causes me great unease. Even his son, Boromir, such a dear friend to me, can't seem to help but offer seemingly romantic gestures. I ignore most of his compliments by changing the subject or trying to spin it into a joke to ease the tension between us. He did mention he'll be leaving for Rivendell, an elven city in the West. I know so little of elves and although it is so far away, I hope he can convince his father to let me go. I so yearn for adventure and freedom. Gandalf always showed me beautiful, magnificent places all while keeping me safe. Even then, I am sick of the safety. I want to skim the tops of the highest trees and bathe in the bluest of waterfalls. The hot water and porcelain tubs pale in comparison to the feeling of fresh, cold river water on my skin. Maybe even on this adventure I am dreaming of, I meet someone. Someone to love that loves me feverishly in return. There's a growing need inside me I never realized I had. I see husbands and wives, young courtesans with suitors and by the redness of their cheeks, I see their yearning is fulfilled in a warm bed every night. I close my eyes and I cannot see this mystery lover of mine, I can only imagine his lips on my lips, his hands slipping my dress off and his fingers delighting in every part of my being. Spoken out loud, these thoughts sound lustful maybe even wicked. But it feels so natural for me to want to find that person and let them consume me like a wildfire in a dry field. I want that person the way the ocean wants the shore, constantly reaching and running back only to return to it once again. The way the rain wants to fall and the way the sun wants to shine, the way words want to be read. Whoever that stranger is, no amount of rain could douse the fire I have inside of me for him.'

Legolas had to remind himself to breathe as he closed the journal. He glanced at Alannah as she lay in bed, surprised that he had fallen in love with her more than he was just a few moments prior. He quickly pushed the journals back into the armoire where she had stored them before. He pulled off his boots and lay beside her, feeling a little guilt at reading her personal thoughts but all the more grateful that he learned more about his sleeping wife to be.

~

The sun had not yet risen when Alannah was stirred awake. She heard the evil voice once again in her dreams and was unable to shake off the dark impression it left on her. Legolas was asleep beside her and she took great care not to wake him as she slipped out of bed. She pulled on her robe and silently crept out of her room, closing the door soundlessly behind her. Alannah made her way to the throne room and outside into the cold, early morning air. She ignored the guards surrounding the white tree and walked to the end of the courtyard and perched herself on the walls. The stone was cold to the touch but she ignored it, feeling the need to ground herself. She thought back to the night she took the dream inducing elixir gifted to her by Galadriel, and the sound of her mother's voice. A tear fell as she replayed the memory over in her head and the unfamiliar name her mother had used for her. 'Erulisse' her mother had called her, a name forgotten over time. She noticed the scorch marks on the walkway beside her, leading to the opening at the end of the courtyard. The distance to the ground was staggering as Alannah slid down from the wall and stepped towards it. The echo of the voice was still inside her head, no matter how hard she tried to ignore it. The voice began to whisper to her.

"Fly." The memory of the darkness repeated in her head. Her gown rippled in the wind as she thoughtlessly extended her foot over the edge. The thought crossed her mind to step out with the other foot that was planted on the stone ground but she couldn't move it. Every sound was silenced as she was held in the evil stronghold, even the wind but a faint whisper in the background. Every fiber of her being was screaming at her to stop and go back to her rooms but a malevolent force was urging her to leap. Tears began to stream down her face as she tried to pull her foot back to safety, only to find that she was frozen in place, with no control over her body. Alannah managed to turn her head to the east, the apparent source of the evil force. "Please." She pleaded to no avail. It seemed an easier task to jump than it did to step back from the ledge. The force inched her foot across the stone, inching her closer to her demise. She did all she could to stop, but the evil power at work was far too string.

Softly, two hands were on her shoulders pulling her back.

"Alannah, it's alright." Aragorn whispered as he inched her closer to him. "You don't need to do this." He urged as he wrapped his arms around Alannah and pulled her back forcefully, the two of them toppling safely to the ground. Alannah fought to catch her breath as she looked up to see Gandalf standing with Legolas and Gimli while Aragorn gently helped her to her feet. She glanced at Legolas who had a confused and fearful look on his face.

"Get her back to her room, Legolas." Gandalf ordered. They all remained still, trying to digest what had just happened. "I said now!" Gandalf boomed furiously.

Legolas quickly pulled Alannah in his arms and carried her back to her room as she wept in his chest. He laid her on the bed and handed her a glass of water to calm her, although he remained shaken.

"What happened out there? Why would you think to do something like that?" He asked, suddenly angry. Alannah looked at him through teary eyes, unable to answer his question as she didn't know the answer herself.

"I...I don't know." She managed to stammer. Legolas stood fuming at the foot of the bed, still in his undergarments.

"Do you know how much heartbreak you would have caused?" He asked as he pulled on his clothes. "Dol gin lost." He muttered under his breath. Alannah looked up at him as she held the glass shakily between her knees.

"What did you say?" Alannah asked, uncertain of what he said in his native language.

"I said 'your head is empty'." He hissed as he slipped on his boots and left, slamming the door behind him. Alannah was now shaking with anger as she sat in the room alone, her skin still cold from the early morning wind. She threw the glass at the door, causing it to shatter across the floor. Alannah couldn't understand what had come over her, but knew that the thoughts that influenced her actions that morning were not her own.

Several minutes later, Gandalf entered Alannah's room. He stepped on the broken glass and looked at it curiously before continuing inside. He pulled up a chair beside the bed and sat, lighting his pipe before speaking to Alannah.

"Sweet girl. Are you alright?" He asked as he calmly puffed smoke into the air. Alannah nodded her head as she wiped her swollen eyes.

"I don't know what happened, Gandalf. There was a voice in my head, I would never do that." She pleaded, desperate for anyone to believe her.

"I know. I know that you wouldn't my sweet girl. But you've heard that voice before. The night before we left Rohan. The enemy is using any tactic he can to come at us now that the ring moves closer. He's growing desperate and is using all his strength to find any way to make us weak." Gandalf said as he looked out the window, watching the sun finally crest over the mountains. "Tomorrow, we march on the black gate. When you're rested and get something to eat, you should practice more with your sword and your bow for I do not know what tomorrow will bring us."

Alannah watched as Gandalf walked back to the door, ignoring the glass he was stepping in. He left the room and closed the door gently as Alannah lay back on the bed, drifting in and out of sleep to the familiar scent of Gandlalf's pipe weed.

~

"Again." Alannah ordered as she caught her breath. Eomer swung his sword at her in the courtyard as Alannah successfully blocked his attack, once again causing him to yield.

"It's been three hours now. I don't think you can improve your bow or swordsman skills any more than you already have." Eomer grumbled as he held his hands on his knees to catch his breath. Alannah was bent on keeping herself busy as she felt Legolas' eyes on her. She didn't want to talk to him after this morning, in fact she didn't want to talk to anyone. She was focused on being as skilled a fighter as anyone else that would be marching tomorrow, and was intent on fighting as hard as everyone else would as well.

"Again." Alannah said as she swirled her sword, positioning herself in a fighting stance. Eomer straightened himself back upright and struck, the sounds of their clashing blades echoing throughout the courtyard. After another hour had passed, she agreed to end their sparring. She picked up her arrows and placed them back in her quiver, throwing it over her shoulder. Her sword was definitely in need of being sharpened and she felt around in her pockets to see if she had any coin to take it to the blacksmith. Her pockets were indeed empty as they usually were but still she began her walk down into the city, hoping to see if she could get a line of credit with the smithy until she could make some money of her own.

The wind was still cold although the sun shone brightly. She received strange stares as she walked down the streets but she kept her eyes to the ground, not in the mood to dwell on it.

"I'm sorry milady, if you haven't any money no services will be rendered." The smithy argued.

"I'm not asking for a handout. Just a tab until I can pay you in full. You have my word." Alannah retorted, forcing a cheerful tone and a smile on her face. The smithy shook his head as he handed her sword back to her. Frustrated, she reached out for her blade when a gold coin was suddenly slapped down on the counter in front of her.

"Will this cover the expenses?" Legolas asked the blacksmith. The blacksmith's face gleamed as he quickly grabbed the coin and took the sword into the back of his shop for repairs.

"Give me an hour or so and it will be as good as new miss!" The blacksmith hollered in a much more friendly tone. Legolas leaned on the counter, trying to get Alannah to look at him.

"Thank you." She said as she gave him a stern look and walked out of the blacksmith's shop. He followed close behind her as she made her way back up to the top of the city. The vibe Legolas was sensing from Alannah was not that of anger and for that, he was relieved. However, he regretted his reaction to the occurrence that morning and knew he needed to apologize.

"Alannah." Legolas said softly as he pulled her to stop in the middle of the cobble stoned road. Alannah huffed as she adjusted her quiver over her shoulder. She could see the look of apology on his face already and she shook her head before standing on her tip toes to kiss him on the cheek. She smiled slightly at him before sliding her hand into his. She knew there was much more to focus on than any anger she had towards him and she let the hurtful words from him flow away from her as if it was caught in a current of a swift river.

~

Later that evening everyone gathered in the throne room for what very well may be their last meal together. Instead of feeling defeated or downtrodden, they were merry and hopeful about the next day. Aragorn called for more wine to be brought in as they finished their dinner, eager to extend the fun time they were all having together. Alannah and Legolas sat close to each other during dinner and even closer as the group finished a few more bottles of wine. They whispered their affections to one another and giggled amongst themselves, not realizing the attention they were garnering from their friends.

"Absolutely sickening the two of you." Gimli poked fun at them as wine dribbled from his beard. Aragorn laughed quietly as Gandalf smiled on, sipping lightly from his own goblet. It only caused the couple to become giddier, not even knowing why they were laughing so much.

"I'm sure we've all had enough fun for one night. We should get some rest tonight, we ride out at dawn." Gandalf finally announced as he sat down his goblet on table.

"Come on, you're in need of a bath before you sleep meleth nin." Legolas whispered seductively in Alannah's ear. She blushed at his tone as they walked towards her quarters, his arm tightly wrapped around her waist. When they were out of view of their friends, they stopped every few steps to embrace on another and brush their lips against the others.  The tension was rising between them as they entered the room and they tried to reel themselves back.

"I'll be quick." Alannah stammered as she walked into the bathroom. She stripped down and filled the tub before climbing in quickly. Her heart and body yearned for Legolas as the hot water surrounded her and she couldn't help but let her hands wonder between her legs.

Legolas undressed down to his undergarments to prepare for bed, ignoring his own hardness at the thought of Alannah in the tub. He lounged back on the bed and imagined what it would be like on their wedding night, his anticipation for the event growing all the more in his heart. He looked over to her side of the bed and noticed she had forgotten her nightgown. He grabbed it quickly and walked into the bathroom with a linen towel for her.

Legolas stopped in his tracks as Alannah quickly moved her hands away from her center. Her embarrassment quickly melted away as their eyes caught and the tension between them erupted like a volcano. Alannah pulled him into the tub with her, soaking what clothes he did have on. Water spilled over the tub and into the floor as their bodies crashed together. Their hands hungrily roamed each other's bodies and their tongues danced inside each other's mouths. Alannah gasped as Legolas's hardness pressed between her legs, feeding the flames of her desire.

Legolas broke away from her kiss only to grin at her mischievously. He sunk beneath the water and parted her thighs with his chin as he held her hips in place. Alannah hit her head against the back of the tub when she felt his tongue make contact with her quivering center. The bathroom was filled with soft moans and the sound of swooshing water before Legolas came up for air.

Alannah quickly peeled his wet undergarments off and tossed them into the tub. They admired each other's bodies before Legolas stepped out of the tub and pulled her out behind him. Legolas held them steady as they made their way to the bedroom, his elf-like agility the only thing keeping them slipping on the floor. As Alannah sat on the bed, Legolas grabbed her calves and pulled her to its edge and settled between her legs, determined to finish what he started underneath the bath water.

"Legolas." Alannah hungrily whispered. His long hair tickled her thighs as he moved between them, yet it was tantalizing to feel. Legolas planted soft kisses between her thighs as he listened to her. "We shouldn't." She muttered with no hint of protest in her voice. Legolas giggled against her skin.

"I know meleth nin. I just love to watch you come undone. Tell me to stop if you wish." Legolas lightly kissed her slit before parting her folds and finding her swollen nub. His tongue lightly traced it before he set a steady rhythm, intervals of licking and sucking all the while keeping his eyes trained on her face as she was lost in her pleasure. Her moans filled the room as Legolas carefully placed a finger at her opening and carefully entered her. He found that perfect combination of finger and tongue that made her want to scream and cry, and escape, all the while praying that he wouldn't stop. Once he found it, he was merciless in his endeavor until he felt her began to tighten around him. The vibrations from her core as she climaxed soothed and excited him all at once and he only slowed to a stop as those vibrations gradually faded and she was left on the bed, a limp and disheveled mess.

Satisfied, Legolas climbed onto the bed to lay next to her. He wrapped her in his arms and melded his lips around hers. Alannah sighed as she tasted herself on his lips and she grew determined to finally please him. She quickly pulled herself to her knees and crawled towards him on the bed. He watched her curiously as she did as he did, and sat between his legs.

"You don't have to do anything meleth nin." Legolas managed to say before she kissed the tip of his length. Alannah wrapped her lips around him, eliciting a sudden intake of breath from him as she pushed him deep into her mouth. Legolas held onto the sheets surrounding him, taken aback by the intense pleasure he felt. He finally relaxed onto the bed as he watched her moving her head up and down slowly, doing her best to take in his sizeable length.

Alannah looked up at him to see that he was staring at her as she worked to pleasure him. There were no protests as he laid onto the pillow, soft noises being made deep in his throat. He willed himself not to pull her beneath him and make her his wife that second but then, an unfamiliar feeling began to stir inside Legolas as she continued to suck him harder. He tangled his hands in her hair as he felt himself let go for the first time in his ling life, lost in his pleasure as he felt himself spill into her mouth. She continued as the sweet fluid trickled between her lips, his legs shaking and his heavy breathing signifying that she finally pleased him. Alannah swallowed before crawling up to him and settled into his arms. They were quiet for a long time as they lay in bed holding each other.

"I love you." Legolas whispered. Alannah smiled as she laid her head on his chest, his heart beating to a tune that soothed her soul.

"What if we die tomorrow?" Alannah quietly asked. Throughout the night, they ignored what was to happen the next day. Legolas looked over to their weapons laying on the table and back to Alannah. Their hands were intertwined, their silver bands gleaming in the moonlight. Legolas smirked as he turned her chin to look into her eyes.

"What if we don't?" He asked before kissing her once more as they drifted to sleep.
