Hey everyone and WELCOME to the thirteenth episode of RWBY: (Genius Gamer Shadow) Ex-Aid Reader x Ruby Rose! So, just a recap of the disclaimer again, I DO NOT OWN RWBY AND I DO NOT OWN KAMEN RIDER EX-AID. RWBY is from RoosterTeeth and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is from Toei.
So, enjoy the insert, sit back, and LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!
*Hits gong real hard*
The next day:
3rd person's POV:
Mitchell: Ugh! Come on already, cap! We're gonna be late for the trip!
Shadow: Just give me 10 more minutes, Mitchell....
Shadow rolled onto his side away from Mitchell and draped his covers over his entire body in hopes that he would just let him sleep more. Last night after Shadow got back into Beacon, he went outside to the rooftop of the dormitory to train and to improve his aura and semblance, not knowing that it was 2am in the morning when he finished. His tardiness only caused Mitchell to sigh frustratingly.
Mitchell: Ah, Jeez! Come on already! Rachel! A little help, please?
Rachel then walked over to Shadow and combined his semblance against him as she lifted his covers in his feet and sent a burning and icy sensation in it, causing me jump out of bed, big time.
Shadow: Alright! Fine! I'll get up. Dag nab it. I hate it when you do that, Rachel.
She gave him a smirk and received a high-five from Mitchell while he got up and fixed his bed.
Rachel: I guess I have my semblance to thank for.
She playfully giggled, which Shadow rolled his eyes at.
Shadow: Oh, ha ha. Very funny.
Mitchell: Now, come on! The others are waiting outside, so we can head out to the trip together today.
Shadow: Wait. Others? And where's Tenka?
Mitchell: Yeah! Ruby and her team decided to tag along with us, and Tenka is already with them.
Shadow: Okay then. Let's meet them now. But before that, I must change.
And with that, they left the dormitory room so Shadow could get changed.
Shadow stretched out his arms, did a simple exercise and started getting changed into his battle garments, strapping on his utility belt and fastening up his shoes. He puts on his trench coat and grabbed his parablagun from his desk table. He then hurried outside of the dorm and met up with the rest of his team and found Ruby and her Team there as well.
Shadow: Sorry for the wait, guys.
Weiss then gazed at him, and so did Tenka. But he shrugged them off completely.
Weiss: Are you always that late?
Shadow: No, and sorry for the delay. I've been training last night. So, should we get going?
Ruby: Yeah, we have to meet up in the courtyard with the rest of our classmates
Shadow: Well then, let's get going.
And with that, we started walking outside towards the courtyard to meet the others.
---TIMESKIP---
My POV:
Me and the others had just arrived at the Forest of Forever Fall with the rest of my other classmates for today, with Glynda. While walking, I am clearly amused at Ruby's reaction to the ruby red leaves that are blanketing the trees and the red grass covering ground. The same could happen for Mitchell as he nearly ran off to examine the forest more out of wonder, but Rachel and I prevented that by standing at either side of him along the way.
Glynda: Yes students, the Forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful, but we are not here to sight see. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so.
Glynda then stopped and turned around to face the group of students. Jaune, grunting and carrying a large case with six empty glass jars on top, tries to catch up with them and ends up bumping into Cardin, which I heard behind me, and saw Jaune being scowled at by Cardin. Jaune then attempts to feign innocence by whistling tunelessly, and Cardin turned back to face Glynda.
Me: (Inner thoughts) I still can't figure out what's going on with Jaune ever since last night. The fact that he was with Cardin's team on the way here rather than with his teammates is really disturbing. Not only for me, but his teammates as well. What the heck is going on with him?
I turned back to face Glynda. Although I am still looking at Jaune out of the corner of my eye every now and then just to make sure Cardin won't do anything suspicious that could cause Jaune harm. As Glynda still instructs her group, she holds up a full jar of their objective.
Glynda: Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here by 4 o'clock. Have fun!
Tenka: Alright! Lets go.
Rachel: This is nothing for Team STRM to handle. We can get this done in no time!
Mitchell: After that, we can have some time to explore the forest!
Rachel: Not a bad idea Mitch. But we'll do that after we're done with our objective.
Mitchell: Okay~
I chuckled at their remarks as I caught sight of Jaune's Team heading in the same direction as Ruby's Team. Just as I was about to follow my team into the other side forest, I called out to Tenka.
Me: Hey, Tenka? Could you give me my spare jar?
Tenka questioned it, but I said I decided to a find a more 'suitable' place to find sap, but in fact, it was your excuse of talking to one of Jaune's teammates about his behavior. Tenka did not pushed the topic further, and just tossed me a spare jar.
Tenka: Here! Just be careful out there.
Me: Same with you and the others, Tenka. Oh, and hey, Try to always keep an eye out for Rachel
Tenka: (chuckles) Sure.
And with that, I went on my separate way.
With my jar in hand, I ran over to where Team JNPR and RWBY went. I caught up with them and walked over to where Pyrrha was walking. By the time I reached her, Pyrrha seemed to be wrapped up thinking about something.
Me: Hello?
I snapped my fingers in front of her to try and get her attention, which it did, and she snapped back into reality and turned towards me with an apologetic face.
Pyrrha: Oh! I'm sorry. I was just..... thinking about something.
Me: I've noticed.
Pyrrha: By the way, aren't you supposed to be with your team? ... Um...
Me: Oh, that's right! I haven't actually introduced myself yet properly even though we've chatted for a couple of times. The name's Shadow Wrath, Team Leader of Team STRM. But I guess you know that already.
I looked down sheepishly as Pyrrha nods at my remark.
Pyrrha: Yes. So, what are you doing here exactly?
Me: Nothing much. I just want to know what's going on with Jaune lately.
Pyrrha's friendly atmosphere turned from good to bad when I felt anger and, at the same time, anxious around her.
Pyrrha: I-I have n-no idea what you're talking about, Shadow.
Me: Look, Pyrrha. Jaune's melancholic attitude is not fooling everyone, not even you and his teammates! And the fact that your attitude changed just now, I'd say that there's something definitely going on with him, don't you think?
Pyrrha: It's a personal matter for us. So, that is completely none of your concern, Shadow!
Pyrrha was surprised at her own sudden outburst, but she was right. It was not in my domain to ask about Jaune's personal matters.
Me: I-I understand. Just.... forget I asked anything about it. Thank you for your time, Pyrrha.
Just before she could even reply, I began to walk away to find a tree to extract the sap from. After a few minutes of walking, I eventually found my team in a small clearing, already done with their jars. I waved at them, and they did the same. I found one thick tree near the group and began extracting the sap into my jar. Apparently, while doing this, I felt something or rather someone is staring at me.
Perched on a hilltop overlooking the other students, team CRDL - plus Jaune being squeezed between Cardin and Russel - peak their heads over the crest and watch as I am retrieving my own sample of sap. Jaune then turns towards Cardin, who had a sharp stare at me.
Jaune: Cardin, wh-what's going on?
Cardin: Payback.
Jaune's eyes began to widen in understanding the situation.
Jaune: Sh-Shadow?
Cardin: That's the guy. I would've preferred that samurai-boy, know-it-all Tenka that thinks he's so tough and smart, but right now, his buddy is an easy target. Alright, boys...
He then pulls out a buzzing cardboard box with a large "W" written on its sides.
Cardin: Last night, old Jaune here managed to round up an entire box of Rapier Wasps, and now, we're gonna put them to work.
Russel grabs Jaune by the shoulder, who barely laughs in nervousness.
Cardin: Now, according to one of the essays you wrote for me last week, these nasty things just loooove sweets.
Jaune then sees me finishing my sap collection as I stood up.
Cardin: I'm thinking it's time we teach him a thing or two.
The members of CRDL then got up. Cardin offers his hand to Jaune, only to painfully yank him up on his feet and shove the jar into his grasp.
Cardin: And you're gonna do it.
Jaune: Do what?
Cardin: Hit him with the sap and the wasps will do the rest!
He then leans in close to Jaune's face.
Cardin: Either that, or I'll have a chat with Goodwitch, and you'll be on the first airship out of Beacon.
Jaune looks down at the jar of sap in his hands and then up at the four grinning teammates waiting to see what happens. Jaune turns towards the group and aims his throw at me, which technically I already know it's about to happen.
Me: (In head) So, trying to get back at me are you, Cardin? But I trust Jaune enough for him to know the right thing to do. Note to self: I should've stayed with my team, and none of this would've happen. If it would happen. Heheheheeh~
Jaune tries to steel his nerves and shaking hand to do the deed, but he ultimately steels himself for what he's about to do. I smiled to myself at this.
Me: (In head) Good job, bud. Maybe there isstill hope for you in this academy, after all.
Jaune: No.
Cardin: What did you say?
Jaune: (gripping the jar tightly) I said... NO!!
He turns and throws the jar at Cardin, instantly recoiling his hands to himself as he looks at Cardin's breastplate covered in sap. The other team leader, however, just looks at himself and laughs darkly.
Cardin: Oh, you've done it now...
Me: (Inner thoughts) Ugh! I regret what I said.
I then placed the jar full of red sap in my hand, and transfigured my body into a snow flurry and darted my way through the trees so I could witness what's going to happen with Jaune after the ruckus.
---MEANWHILE---
Arunbura's POV:
Both Gutton and I have been tracking throught the forest called Forever Fall, with no humans in-sight.
Me: Gutton... are you sure this is the place?! We have been tracking for hours and there is nothing.
Gutton: Tracking for life-forms. *Tracking*
A minute later:
Gutton: Life-form in-bound.
Me: Great. A human will work nicely.
Gutton: Not human. Grimm.
Just as Guttonsaid that, an Alpha Ursa came out of nowhere, growled at us and then roared at us.
Me: Unruly Beast!! (holding my sceptre) You dare to roar in front of me and my ally without permission?!
This ticked the Alpha big time as it roared again,startling me as I dropped my Sceptre onto the ground. It began to advance towards me instead of Gutton. As it was about to strike me, it stopped, and focused elsewhere.
Me: Gutton! Why didn't it attack me?!
Gutton: It appears that this Grimm has a sense of sensing fear among humans.
Me: (Watching the Ursa leave) Do you think??
Gutton: Yes. There are humans nearby. North-East from us.
Me: Then WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR, Comrade?! Let's follow this Ursa to the humans!! (I said this in delight)
Gutton: Affirmative.
And with that, we followed the Grimm towards the humans, hopefully we can infect more than one human in the process.
Me: Gemdeus Machina-sama is going to like this. (Holds up sceptre in pride)
Gutton: Affirmative.
