Natasha's pov
Thor, Clint, Bobbi, Sam and Scott now stood by Loki's side. Their eyes blue.
"Everyone know what to do?"
Steve said
The rest of us who weren't being controlled were currently huddled behind a flipped over car.
"Let's go."
Bucky and I snuck into a building. The building behind Loki. We were phase three, take out Loki on Steve or Tony's signal. But as I later found out, phase three would never happen thanks to a certain close friend of mine.
Steve quickly made eye contact with me, and I knew the plan had started.
Steve's pov
I quickly gave Nat and Bucky the signal. Here we go.
"Release our team Loki"
Tony shouted charging his repulser rays, ready to fire.
"That's not how it works Stark. I make the demands mortal. Attack them!"
Our team advanced toward us. Good.
Bobbi and Sam reached us first.
"It's over Captain."
Bobbi said twirling her baton in her hands.
As she swung out toward my face I ducked just fast enough. She landed in her back just as I kicked out her legs. With a grunt she pushed herself up and charged again. Her baton hit me in the gut . I lost my footing and stumbled into a car. If I hadn't moved I would've been hit over the head. I looked at the dent she left in the car. I threw a punch to her nose, quickly blocked. She reminded me a lot of Natasha, both women had trained together countless times, no doubt they'd learned from each other.
A swirling wind caught my attention. Thor's hammer was heading straight toward us. I gasped in sudden pain when I immediately pushed myself against the ground. Unfortunately Bobbi hadn't moved in time and she was sent flying into a building. When the hammer returned to Thor, and before her eyes closed I saw them turn back to their natural colour.
Looking up, Tony threw Sam on to the ground not to far from me. To be in the safe side I gave him a punch to his temple.
Tony's slightly scratched suit landed beside me.
"Phase two?"
I nodded
Hulk your up, Nat, Bucky be on alert.
I said looking around
Clint's missing.
I loud roar practically blew out my eardrums.
Hulk crashed down cracking the pavement.
I nodded at him. Phase two was in pursuit.
"Let us engage in battle, and finally decide who is the strongest!"
Thor said in an unnaturally aggressive tone
He slammed himself into hulk and the two disappeared through a building.
A sudden burning on my arm made me wince.
"Sorry Steve, something is wrong with my suit."
Another ray shot toward me.
"Tony!"
"I can't control it. My weapon system is not in my control!"
Natasha's pov
Clint's missing
Bucky and I watched the fight from the roof. Loki was standing on a tall beam or rock, he had risen out of the ground.
"I've got a window"
Bucky said aiming his gun at Loki's head
"No. Wait till Steve or Tony's-"
But I was cut off. My back hit the entrance door to the roof. Smoke clouded my vision and scratched my throat.
"Bucky?"
"I'm good. What was that?"
I didn't need to answer. As the smoke cleared Clint Barton stood in front of us. His bow tightly held in his hand.
"Clint please, you beat him last time"
"Shut up! Loki wants you alive"
He said to me.
"As for you"
An arrow was suddenly aimed at Bucky. I whipped out my guns.
"Clint I don't want to hurt you"
I hesitantly said raising my two guns at him
"Your not going to shoot me Natalia"
I flinched at my real name. That cost me. Bucky's grunt caught my attention. He was on the gravel holding his leg. Clint's arrow stuck out of it.
"Come willingly Natalia. Or we'll do this the hard way."
I stood my ground
He smirked.
His bow turned into a staff, an upgrade no doubt from Stark.
Let me tell you it hurt. I was knocked to the ground as the staff hit my head. I saw stars as I stood up. Something changed in Clint's stance. A small change most people wouldn't notice. I'm not most people. But it was only a second. I wrapped my legs around his neck and let us both fall on to the gravel. The sharp pain caused me to release my grasp. I touched the back of my thigh. A little bit of blood showed up on my hand. Clint held an arrow in his hand. He threw it at the ground and it went off. Another explosion sent me tumbling to the ground.
When I opened my eyes Clint was standing on my leg. If he pushed any harder he'd dislocate my knee. His arrow aimed at my chest.
"Last chance Natalia. Come willingly."
He huffed and pulled the string farther back.
"Now this is Budapest all over again"
I said
That seemed to do something. The pressure on my leg lessened. He stumbled back clutching his head. His bow forgotten on the gravel roof.
"Clint?"
He turned to me.
"Tasha, I'm back"
I let go of the breath I didn't know I was holding
"Did I- "
Clint looked at Bucky
I put a hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Bucky you okay?"
I said kneeling beside him.
"It's pretty deep, if I pull it out I'll bleed out. Go save the world I'll be ok."
I pushed his hair back and smiled.
"Be safe"
I whispered
"You should talk to Bobbi ,Clint. Whatever happened between you two needs to be fixed"
I said to him, remembering the tension I noticed between them ( the chapter before this she does, and in case anyone has forgotten why their is tension between them is addressed somewhere in previous chapters ) as he picked up his bow from the ground.
"I know, and I will"
"Good. Now Come on . We've got a world to save."
Tony's pov
"Tony fix it!"
Steve yelled crouched behind a piece of a building.
"I can't fix it, if I don't know what's wrong!"
I said.
"Mr.Stark may i suggest the contingency plan for mr. Hammers Nano bots?"
"Yes! Do it!"
The small uh oh from inside my suit surprised me. My weapons stopped firing and ant-man was suddenly in front of me. But not for long. Steve's shield knocked him out, just as Natasha and Clint came jogging toward us.
"Clint your back!"
I said
"Yeah I'm good . We have to get to Loki"
"What about hulk and Thor?"
As if he was called Hulk walked back with an unconscious God of thunder slung over his shoulder
"Hulk strongest!"
He roared before dropping him to the ground
"It's over Loki, we've over powered your control"
Natasha said
Loki didn't look happy.
"Until next time then"
With that said he disappeared in a cloud of green smoke.
"He's gone."
"Yeah. We did it."
———————————50 minuets later
Natasha's pov
Eventually SHIELD clean up, medical and evacuation team showed up with a jet. Bobbi, Thor, Bucky, Scott and Sam were loaded on to the jet with doctors surrounding them. I smiled when Clint refused to leave Bobbi's side while the doctors urged him to leave.
I sat in a separate jet. I rested my head against the wall behind me. I definitely had a concussion. But I seemed to forget that when Steve sat beside me.
"I'm glad you're okay"
He said putting an arm around my shoulders.
"For the most part, Loki will come back one day "
I sighed
"We made a pretty good team though"
Steve said looking outside at our friends
"That's exactly why your going to be a team."
Our heads snapped to the familiar voice. Director Fury stood at the base of the jet looking in at us.
"The world needs you too protect them. Loki proved that."
Fury passed us 4 profiles.
Tony
Bruce
Thor
Clint
"What about Sam, Scott and Bobbi?"
I asked
"I've got other plans for them."
He said
"Your first mission is on Sunday. Don't be late for the debriefing"
Fury said looking over his shoulder as he walked away
I couldn't help but smile. We were a team. A family. The world almost getting taken over was definitely a bad thing . But it brought us closer together.
We were the Avengers.

I'm so sorry that this took so long! And I'm sorry about how crapy it probably is. But it's finally finished. I was still trying to have this story be how the avengers were actually formed but throughout the story out of habit I might have referred to the team as the avengers already. Pls try to ignore that......
