Hey everyone and WELCOME to the fourth episode of RWBY: (Genius Gamer Shadow) Ex-Aid Reader x Ruby Rose! So, just a recap of the disclaimer again, I DO NOT OWN RWBY AND I DO NOT OWN KAMEN RIDER EX-AID. RWBY is from RoosterTeeth and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is from Toei.
So, enjoy the insert. So sit back, an LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!
*I shot out a rocket from my rocket launcher and not only it hit the gong extremely hard, it blew up the gong too*
A/N: Alright...maybe I should have...bought a newstick...none of this would have happened...heheh... *looking at the remains of thegong*
FLASHBACK:
A few years ago,
My POV:
I was in my dad's bedroom because he wanted to talk to me about something, privately. It wasn't family ties, personal things or missions, it was different as he passed something to me for safe-keeping. (A/N: And that time was when Shadow was 6 years old)
Shadow's dad: Son, I want you to have this.
Me: What is it, daddy??
My dad then picked up a small box, opening it and fished out, what it appears to be a petal of some sort and places it onto my hand.
Me: Ummm... Daddy? Why did you give me a flower petal??
Shadow's dad: (Chuckles a bit) Now, now, son. This isn't any ordinary Petal. This White Rose Petal... well... belonged to someone I knew once. And I want you, to have it.
Me: Really? Who?
Shadow's dad: Yes. And who it belongs to, well... (thinking hard) ummm... It is best, if you know about it later, okay, son?
Me: Oh,... well, okay daddy. (looks down at rose petal)
Shadow's dad: That's my boy. Now, promise you keep it safe.
Me: I promise.
Shadow's dad: (nods while ruffling up my hair) Okay, son.
PRESENT:
My POV:
I woke up in shock, sweating profusely while both my eyes glowing for just a few seconds.
Me:(sigh) That dream again...(stretching) Welp...I shouldn't be bothered by itanyway...as after all, I vowed I'd take care of it, and that's the last thing I do. (covering my mouth as yawn)
As I got up from my sleeping bag, I started to look around for Ruby, Yang and the others as I didn't see them after what happened last night which could have been avoided.
???: Wake up, Lazy-Butts!
I turned towards the sound and saw a very excited-looking and yet extremely enthusiastic, ginger-haired girl, who's trying to wake up a tired looking guy with black hair and purple strand in his hair. I then heard the ginger-haired talking about how excited she is for the initiation. Along the way, I saw the tired looking guy, trying to endure the rest of his morning routine, listening to her while brushing his teeth, eating his pancakes for breakfast, packing up his sleeping bag and retrieving his weapon from his locker
Me: (Inner thoughts) How is she doing that without taking a breather? (I asked myself in shocked) This could be a whole new WORLD record...
While in my locker room, readying all the necessities I needed for the initiation, I heard how the girl expresses hope that the two of them will be on the same team and attempts to formulate a plan to make sure they will.
Me: (Inner thoughts) Well, that is one way to start our experiment. (A/N: See what I did there? Experiment = figuring out the formulas and how to formulate them. Okay, I doubt you get that...)
As I took out my last necessity, I looked at my Parablagun at every corner and heaved a bit.
Me: heh... the classics. Parablade is given to me from my dad and my mom... But still, if you guys can hear me now... I will make you proud... for all of us... (I then place Parablade behind me)
As I saw the two head out, I saw them passing Ruby, Rachel and Yang as they are busy readying themselves. Then I thought, maybe I should go over towards the group, which I did eventually.
Me: Morning, ladies.
Ruby: Morning, Shadow. (looks at the two who passed them a moment ago) Hmm... I wonder what those two are so worked up about?
Rachel: I clearly have no idea what was that all about. Do you, Yang? Shadow?
Yang: Nope.
Me: (shrugs) I can't for the life of me know what they are talking about. But, I heard them saying something about teams or... something like that...
Yang: Well, who knows? So, you seem awfully chipper this morning, Ruby!
Ruby: Yep! No more awkward small talk or "getting-to-know-you" n stuff. Today, I get to let my sweetheart to do the talking.
She strokes her Crescent Rose as she sighs happily, making me and Rachel stare at her in weirdness, which Ruby then notices.
Ruby: Uh... what?
Me and Rachel: Nothing!
Me: (sigh) okay, I have to stop you there just a bit. Yes, you are going through initiation but, you are not doing it alone. All the first years, including us are doing it too.
Yang: Yeah... Well, remember, Ruby, you are not the only one going through initiation. If you wanna grow up, you're gonna have to meet new people and learn to work together.
Me: (Inner thoughts) Those words remind me of my dad for some important reason...
Ruby sighs in frustration at Yang's remark.
Ruby: You sound like Dad! (shoves her weapon into the locker) Okay, first of all: What does meeting new people have to do with fighting? And secondly: I don't need people to help me grow up! I drink milk!
Me: (Inner thoughts) wwoooo... someone wants to be independent.
Yang: But what about when we form teams?
Ruby suddenly becomes nervous at this. Yang is right after all. Who will she team up with? Is she good enough to fit in? A lot more questions race through Ruby's mind as she pondered for a bit, wondering who she will team up with.
Ruby: Um, I don't know, I... I'll just be on your team or Rachel's or Shadow's...
Me: (my face beamed at the suggestion) Not a problem for me!
Rachel: Same here. I would love to have Ruby on my team.
Ruby: Aww~ Rachel, thanks.
Yang: I don't know... Maybe you should try being on someone else's team...?
Ruby: My dear sister Yang, are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me?
Yang: What? No! Of course, I do! I just thought... I don't know, maybe it would help you... break out of your shell!
Ruby: What the-! I don't need to "break out of my shell"! That's absolutely-
Jaune then suddenly walks in between the two sisters, while me and Rachel were having a "good" chat. Jaune appears to be holding a map of some sort and looking lost.
Jaune: Ridiculous! There's no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday! I would've remembered having to count that high! Why does this have to happen today?
Jaune passed Weiss Schnee, Pyrrha Nikos and Tenka Kaito as they read themselves at their lockers.
Ruby: Uh...Shadow, don't you think you need some protection?
Me: Well, yeah...but...my armour was destroyed...three years ago...
Ruby: What happened?
Me: (looks down) I... don't want to talk about it.
Ruby: Oh,... I'm sorry.
Me: It's ok. It's fine, it's water under the bridge from way back then, so it's fine.
Rachel: (whispers to you) Good save...
Inodded in approval.
MEANWHILE....
3rd person's POV:
Weiss, Tenka and Pyrrha had just finished gearing up everything they need for the initiation. Then, Weiss decides to walk towards the red-headed girl and the black and bronze armoured blonde-haired boy.
Weiss: So, Pyrrha, have you given any thought to whose team you'd like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong, well-known individual such as yourself!
Pyrrha: Hmm... I'm not quite sure. I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may.
Tenka: Spoken like a true huntress, Ms Nikos.
Weiss: Well... I was thinking maybe we could be on a team together with Mr. Kaito.
Pyrrha: Well, that sounds grand!
Weiss: Great!
Then all of a sudden, Weiss' background disappears into a thundercloud as Weiss adopts a scheming pose and manic smile in her head.
Weiss: This will be perfect! The smartest girl and boy in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together, we will be unstoppable! I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be celebrities! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come between us now!
Jaune then suddenly comes between the three and interrupting Weiss' evil train of thought
Jaune: You know what else is great? Me. Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you.
Weiss: (Feeling irritated) You again?
Tenka: Eh?
Pyrrha: (hurriedly letting herself to be seen) Nice to meet you, Jaune.
Jaune: Yeah, yeah. (pushing Pyrrha aside and talks to Weiss, posing slightly) So, Weiss, couldn't help but overhear your fondness of me the other day.
Weiss: Oh, you've got to be kidding me!
Tenka: You do know she's being sarcastic, right, Mr. Arc?
Jaune: I'm sorry, but I wasn't talking to you.
Tenka: You did not just say that...
Jaune: Anyways, don't worry! No need to be embarrassed, Weiss! So, been hearing rumours about teams! I was thinking you and me would make a good one! What do you say?
Pyrrha: (getting Jaune's attention) Actually, I think the teams are comprised of four students each, so-
Jaune: You don't say. (advances on his new target) Well, hot stuff, play your cards right and maybe you could join up with the winning team.
Weiss then rushed between Pyrrha and Jaune, separating the two, as she did so, Tenka walks to Weiss' side.
Weiss: Jaune is it? Do you have any idea who you're talking to?
Jaune: Not in the slightest, snow angel.
Weiss: This is Pyrrha.
Pyrrha: Hello again!
Weiss: Pyrrha graduated top her class at Sanctum.
Jaune: Never heard of it
Weiss: (scoffs) She's won the Mistral Region Tournaments four years in a row... a new record!
Jaune: The what?
Tenka: (talking quietly while face-palming) oh boy...
Weiss: (waving her arms rapidly in anger) She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes Box!!
Jaune: (suddenly gasping) That's you?! But they only do that for star athletes and cartoon characters!
Pyrrha: Yeah, it was pretty cool. Sadly, the cereal isn't good for you.
Weiss: So, after hearing all of this, do you really think you're in position to ask her to be on your team?
Jaune: I guess not... Sorry... (Hanging his head)
Pyrrha: Actually, Jaune, I think you'd be a great leader!
Tenka: Yes, and you will. With all the courage you need, the strength and faith, I'm sure you will be a noble leader, sooner enough.
Jaune: (immediately feeling brightened up by the backup and praises) D'oh, stop it!
Weiss: Seriously, please stop it. This kind of behaviour should not be encouraged.
Tenka: Well, I agree on what Weiss said. As for now, since I believed we got on the wrong foot.
Jaune: Fine enough by me. So, sounds like Pyrrha's on board for Team Jaune. Spots are filling up quick! Now, I'm not supposed to do this, but maybe I could pull some strings, find a place for you. What do you say?
Weiss: All right, that's a bit too close! Pyrrha, a little help, please?!
Jaune looks back behind him to see Pyrrha's spear strike him, spearing Jaune towards the locker by his hoodie
Pyrrha: I'm sorry.
Then, an announcement plays on intercom system.
Glynda: (voice on intercom system) Would all first-year student please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first-year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately.
Weiss walks pass Jaune as he hangs from the wall of a locker on her way out. Pyrrha follows her while removing her spear from Jaune's hoodie, giving an apologetic smile and Tenka walked passed him giving a thumbs up to tell him best of luck in initiation, before following them (A/N: Well, Jaune's gonna need it)
Pyrrha: It was nice meeting you!
Jaune: (slumping against the locker) Likewise...
As Jaune slumps against the locker, Ruby, Yang and Shadow came by to cheer him up a bit
Yang: Having some trouble there, lady-killer?
Jaune: I don't understand. My dad said all women look for is confidence! Where did I go wrong? (accepts Ruby's offered hand and uses her to lift himself back up)
Me: Well, looks like "Snow Angel" wasn't the best start of all people. (walking along with Ruby while she is holding up Jaune for support) Come on Jaune, let's go. Don't let this turn you down, okay?
Jaune: (sigh) okay...
Me,Ruby lead Jaune out of the locker room by supporting him and his damaged self-esteem with Yang following up from behind.
-----TIMESKIP-----
My POV:
All the other students including me – some old, some new, some unseen – have made it to the cliff, and are now standing on silver tiles in front of a mug-holding Professor Ozpin and Glynda with her tablet
Ozpin: For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest
Glynda: Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumours about the assignment of "Teams". Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today.
Ruby: What? Ohhh...
Ozpin: These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So, it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well.
Ruby: (groaning)
Ozpin: That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years.
Ruby's background with shocked expression then cracks like glass and falling apart
Ruby: WHAAAAT?!
Rachel: This'll be good.
Nora: (to Ren) See? I told you-!
Ozpin: After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die.
Jaune laughs nervously and then gulps loudly, which I silently laughed.
Ozpin: You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?
Jaune: (raises his hand) Yeah, um, sir?
Ozpin: Good! Now, take your positions.
Everyone strikes a pose on their tile. Nora crouches low, Ren wields his weapons, Yang raises her fists, Rachel is posing with her spears, Ruby readies herself, I ready my Game-Driver and two Gashats and pose and Jaune is still raising his hand
Jaune: Uh, sir? I've got, um... a question. (he misses the tile under Weiss rising up into a springboard, rocketing into the air and over the forest, as the platforms activate down the line) So, this landing... strategy thing... Uh, wh-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?
Ozpin: No. You will be falling.
Jaune: (missing the tile under Tenka rising up into a springboard, rocketing into the air and more students are being thrown after) Oh, uh, I see... So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?
Nora: (launches off with a "WEEEEEEE!!!")
Ozpin: No. You will be using your own "Landing Strategy".
Jaune: (did not see an excited Nora, Mitchell and Rachel getting launched) Uh-huh... Yeah.
At my turn, I looked over towards the two sisters
Me: See you later, ladies.
I gave them a wink and I then got launched off into the forest. Then at Yang's turn, she winks at her younger sister, puts on a pair of aviators, and flies off with a "Woohoooooo!", a second before Ruby joins her
Jaune: So, what exactly is a landing strategYYY....!!!!
He asks this part just as when he finally has to get hurled with the cloud of students now making their way down into the forest below under the eyes of the teachers. Ozpin, for this part, simply takes a sip of his drink, witnessing as the students prepare themselves for the inevitable.
Ozpin: Good luck, Shadow. Your mother would want it of you...
MEANWHILE...
Somewhere inside the Emerald forest, someone spotted the students from Beacon being launched towards Emerald Forest. He then decides to take extra measures if he was spotted or if he were to be spotted soon
Salty: Hmm... Looks like I'm going to be spotted soon once they step foot on this forest. Time for the next phase.
Salty then spawns in Bugster grunts with cooking utensils.
Salty: Find these fools and kill them. Infect them with the bugster virus if you have to. If you ever find these creatures called Grimm around the forest, infect them, and improve their appearance and their looks, even their POWER, I don't want them ruining my delicacies with their salty CLAWS AND PAWS!!
The grunts salute to him and leaves to start their mission.
Salty: (CHUCKLING) Soon, this forest will be as good as mine!!! And when everyone sees me taking over this place, IT'S THREE CHEERS TO COUNT SALTY!!!!
