Demi's POV
Alex....Demi...Can I talk to you guys...please.?" Hailey said
Alex and I looked at each other confused and we looked back at Hailey and she walks towards Alex and she has tears in her eyes she tries to hug Alex but Alex steps back and says
"Don't,..."
"Alex please both of you just listen what I have to say." she said
"No....Hailey just don't." Alex said
I see the pain in Hailey's eyes Alex looked like she wanted to cry but she also looked like she wanted to yell on the top of her lungs. I actually felt bad for Hailey I gently pull Alex's hand and I said to Hailey
"Can you give us a minute.?" I said
Hailey nods her head and tears are streaming down her face Alex and I walk out of the room and Alex looks at me confused
"I don't want to talk to her.." Alex said
"Baby I know what she did was wrong and I know how you're mad but...just look at her she's torn apart by this..." I said
"I know but I can't she-...." I said before I interrupted her
"Tell me how long have you two been friends.?" I said
"But what does th-" she said before I interrupted her again
"Tell me how long have you two been friends.?" I said again she sighs and says
"We've been friends since we were 2 years old...16 years" she said
"16 years! Alex you can't just let that all go you two have been through hell and back and you're both letting that go for something like this. Baby you've got to let the past go and move on to the future." I said she looks down and I lift her head up and say with a small smile
"Isn't that what you told me." I said
"Yeah...." she said as she looks through the doorway and she sees Hailey sobbing
"Just talk to her and make things right I know the both of you will forget this."
"Don't forget she wants to talk to you too...look I'll do it but if she tries anything I'm done."
"Okay baby I'll be right here if you need anything."
"Aren't you coming in too.?" she said
"I'll wait out here baby don't worry just go in and patch things up I'll be fine." I said she looks down and she looks at me and says
"Alright I love you." she said
"I love you too." I said back we hug each other and she walks in
Alex's POV
I walk back inside Demi's classroom and Hailey is sobbing staring at the window not noticing I walked back in the room
"Hey..." I said
"Alex I'm sorry about everything I've done I shouldn't have said those things to Demi, I shouldn't have lied to you about who she was to you I'm just sorry for everything. You've been there for me since we were 2 years old and you were all I had left after Marley died and I know if she was here she would hate me as much as you do right now after all the things I said to you and the things I've done for god sake's I'm your best friend and best friends shouldn't treat other best friends like this I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." she said as she grabs my shirt and hugs me tight I don't react at first but I slowly wrap my arms around her neck and hug her tight.
"It's okay..." I whispered in her ear she pulls away from me and Demi walks in and Hailey walks up to her and says
"Demi I just want to say I'm sorry I'm truly sorry that I've hurt you, I'm sorry for everything I've done and I'm disgusted with my behavior I didn't mean it but I know you make my best friend happy and I shouldn't hurt the one she loves I'm so sorry I really am.. I hope you can forgive me.?" she said sobbing again
Hailey balances herself on the desk she couldn't stand on her own she was shaking and crying it looked like she was having a panic attack."
"Hailey... hey look at me calm down okay look it's alright okay.? we're good I forgive you" Demi said softly Hailey looks at her and hugs her and Demi hugs back instantly while Hailey is sobbing in her shoulder
"Let it all out..it's okay" Demi said
I looked at Hailey and I walked up to them and hugged her and I said
"C'mon let's go meet the girls and rehearse for graduation it's only a few days away." I said with a smile she smiles back and so does Demi. Hailey walks out first and Demi stops me for a second and says
"I'm proud of you baby I know it may have been hard but you did it." she said
"Thanks baby I wouldn't have had the strength to do it if it wasn't for you." I said
she smiles at me and kisses me on the lips and we walked to the music room to find the other girls there sitting there and once Hailey and I walked in they all looked shocked to see us together especially with Demi
"Did you two patch things up.?" said Jolene
"Yeah we did..we all did." I said with a smile
"Good because my girlfriend was feeling really bad about all this."
"Wait.. girlfriend.?" Demi said
we all looked at each other and screamed
"NO WAY Awwww!" we all said Hailey and Jolene stand together holding hands and we hugged them and said
"Oh my god when did this happen.?" said Jennifer
"The night we sang at Demi's I finally got the courage to tell her how I really felt and we've been together ever since." said Jolene
"Oh my god that's so adorable." said Perla
"Congrats you two." Demi and I said
"Alright ahaha c'mon graduation isn't that far away and we gotta rehearse this song if we're going to go out with a bang!" said Jennifer
"Alright guys let's do this on the count of 3 we do our old cheer from track Demi are you ready for this."
"Fuck yeah I'm ready." Demi said
"Alright girls ready on the count of three we need to scream as loud as we can Warrior's on three ready!!" said Jennifer
"Ready!" we all said
"One! Two! Three! Warrior's!!" we shouted
"Let's do this!" I said
3 hours later
Demi's POV
Today was just one hell of a good day rehearsals went great and we all just sang our hearts out and had a good time Alex and I leave and pick up some stuff to make for dinner and drive off home when we open the door Jeremy is sitting on the couch and right when he sees us he runs towards us screaming
"Momma! Mommy!"
"Aww hey babyboy did you miss us.?" I said
He nods his head and smiles he hugs me and I hug him back Alex came up from behind me and hugged me and said
"Hey Jeremy I missed you baby who gave you that awesome sweater.?" Alex said he smiles and points to Mrs.Channing she smiles and says
"While he was taking a nap I made this sweater for him and he fell in love with it." she said
"Aww thank you Mrs.Channing that was sweet of you to do that for him did he behave while we were gone.?" I said
"He was a angel we walked to the park and he loved watching the ducks in the pond and we came back here and he ate his lunch and I read him a book he's such a sweetheart." she said
"Aww I'm glad you two had fun." Alex said
"Mommy I'm hungry can I have chocolate.?" Jeremy said
Alex and I laugh and I said
"Not yet babyboy you'll spoil your dinner I'll tell you what if you help Mommy in the kitchen she'll make you chocolate milk while Momma and I sing you a song how about that.?"
"Yay!" Jeremy said as he runs off to the kitchen
We all laugh at his reaction and I said
"Well I should go get Dinner started bye Mrs.Channing thank you so much for your help would you like to stay for dinner.?"
"Oh no thank you sweetie that's awfully nice of you but I have to get home and set up everything for my grandchildren who are coming over maybe they can come over and have a play date with Jeremy they're his age and I bet they'll have a lot of fun." she said
"That sounds great thank you Mrs.Channing drop by anytime you'd like" I said
"Mommy hurry let's cook dinner!" shouted Jeremy
"Well I'm needed in the kitchen I'll see you soon Mrs.Channing bye." I said
"Bye sweetie" Mrs Channing said
Alex's POV
As Demi walks into the kitchen I tell Mrs.Channing
"Thank you so much again Mrs.Channing."
"No problem Alex Oh! I almost forgot your mail came today here you go." she said as she hands me a stack of letters and a huge envelope
"Thank you Mrs.Channing I'll see you at the graduation." I said as she walks out the front door
"See you soon sweetie." she says as she walks home I close the door and I look through the letters one of them was for Demi and 2 of them were from me I look at the vanilla envelope and I sit on the couch to open them I open it and it's a letter from the college program I signed up for in the beginning of Senior year it was to help the army in helping small villages in country's in the middle of war. I open it and read the letter inside
Dear Alexandra Johnson
Congratulations you have been selected to work for the U.S Army in the desert into protecting and saving innocent lives in country's taken over by war. This is a high honor and a very dangerous place to be but we know you are fit for duty and you'll be protected by our highest officers throughout your assignment you will be shipped out for duty on August, 22, 2014 at 5:30 pm. We know you'll make a great addition to our team We hope to see you soon."

I reread the letter over and over again I couldn't believe it I actually got in and the worst part is that I'm leaving 2 days after Demi's 22nd birthday I can't believe I actually got drafted to go I mean it's all I ever wanted to save lives and to help others but how am I supposed to tell Demi this.. As I covered my face with my hands in frustration I heard Demi calling my name
"Baby can you help me in here please.?" she said
"Oh! Yeah! I'm going!" I said I quickly hide the letter in between the couch cushions and run towards the kitchen to see them covered in flour I couldn't help but laugh Jeremy points at Demi and says
"Momma dropped it and it went poof!" he said Demi gasps and starts laughing hysterically and she says
"We tried making pizza but I'm not a good cook babe." she said as she laughs I laugh too and said
"Want me to call and order some pizza babe.?" I said laughing
"Can you please ahah."
I wanted to tell Demi about the letter I got I took a deep breath and said
"Demi.." right before I can say what I wanted to say the phone rang and Demi answered
"Hello.?....Hey Mom!....Wait what...what day.?...Yeah that seems fine...okay I'll see you Saturday...love you too bye."
"Babe my family is coming over this weekend..." she said looking shocked
"That's cool babe but why do you look shocked.?"
"They don't know about Jeremy I never told them they're going to flip if they find out." she said panicked
"Demi they'll understand I mean this is their grandson they're not going to flip they will love you no matter what okay." I said
"Okay baby thank you so much for being there." she said
"I'm always here Demi." I said
"Hey baby what were you going to tell me before the phone rang.?" she said
I panicked I couldn't tell her about the letter I decided to just wait until after graduation to tell her if I told her now it would devastate her so I said to her
"I was just gonna ask what pizza you wanted ahah." I said
"Ahaha Pepperoni would be nice."
"Then pepperoni it is" I said we all hug each other and we ordered pizza and had a movie day in the living room but I couldn't get that letter off my mind how am I supposed to tell her I'm going to a war zone in as little as 2 months from now I knew this was going to be hard to let her know.
