Kirino: *facepalmed* You overdid it again
Arturia: On with the story!
Kirino's POV
Where can I hide?
When can I show up again?
Where and when can I mend my broken heart?
My feet brought me to the park. I sat down in the swing, slightly moving my feet to sway it.
I looked up, I can't tell if it's night or day, it's December after all.
"I forgot to bring a coat..." I muttered, slightly hugging myself.
"Eh?! Fine, you can use my scarf, and you can drink my hot tea too!"
I remembered a distant memory. I smiled unconsciously.
Narrator's POV
A 6-year old Ranmaru ran out of her house--forgetting all of her winter clothes.
"Achoo! Baka Ranmaru..." she muttered to herself
Then a 6-year old boy with curly short hair went to her. Their eyes met for a minute, believing they know each other.
"I remember you..."
"Me too!"
"Ki...ki..."
"Sh...Shi..."
Then they looked at each other then laughed, realizing how dumb they look trying to say each other's name.
"Shindou Takuto,"
"Kirino Ranmar-- achoo!"
Shindou let out a low chuckle, "What's funny? I just forgot my winter clothes," Kirino countered
"Eh?! Fine, you can use my scarf, and you can drink my hot tea too!" Shindou exlaimed
"Honto?!! Arigato!" she said then hugged Shindou
"Ahh- Kirino!! I can't get too close with a girl!" Shindou tried to say
"What--" Kirino then remembered what her mother said, "Don't let anyone know your a girl,"
"What?!! I'm a boy!!!" Kirino just said, but to be true she hates lying
"Eh?! A cute person like you is a boy?!"
"I'm not cute," the pinknette replied, puffing her red cheeks
Then an idea popped out in Shindou's mind.
"Here! Wear that and drink that! I'll be back quick!!"
She stood there dumbfounded. Where is he going? She thought. Kirino smiled as she cover herself with the scarf, holding the hot beverage in her hand.
She sat down in the swing, her hands grabbing both chains, swaying them.
Then a pair of cold hands covered her eyes, "Who is it?"
"Shi-shin..." she thought for awhile
"Shindou!" she blurted out
Shindou removed his hands, "No! Don't look yet!" He said
She just nodded her head, as Shindou ran his hands on her hair.
"Just a second...there!"
Shindou shoved her a mirror, "There! It suits you Kirino!"
Kirino stared at her reflection, then moved her head sideways.
"Hey! I said I'm a boy! Why're you..." she trailed off when she saw Shindou in the verge of crying.
"Ah-! I- I mean... thank you... it's cute..." Kirino said, her cheeks slightly red
"Wahh! Really?!"
Kirino smiled, "Arigato!" She flashed a toothy grin.
Kirino's POV
I ran my fingers to my right twin tail.
"Why would someone tie a boy's hair into a twin tail?" I muttered.
My lips curved into a smile, I'm not a boy though...
"That's why I never had a boyfriend..."
My eyes for while narrowed as I recall that day in the park...
Narrator's POV
A ten-year old Takuto bought 2 ice creams, one for his bestfriend, in a hot summer day.
Kirino silently swayed her feet in the bench, waiting for her bestfriend whom she met in the exact park 4 years ago.
"Here you go!"
"Arigato, Shindou," she replied then muttered her table prayer and dug in.
"Is he your boyfriend miss?" A group of boys went to them
Her cheeks reddened, "Wha- No,"
"Nice, want to go out with us?"
"Excuse me, I'm just a 10-year old gi-" she stopped, oh no... she thought
"Mind intruding your conversation with my girlfriend?"
Kirino's eyes widened, "Let's go Kirino," Shindou held her free hand then walked away.
"Shindou?! What was that?"
"Shut up... I know you're a boy..."
Kirino looked at Shindou's back with a disappointed face.
"Ah....."
"Glad you're okay, Kirino," he whispered
~End of Flashback~
Kirino shivered, "Baka, Ranmaru," she muttered to herself.
She resumed looking at the road when she spotted a familiar curly grayish hair.
Shindou's POV
"Kirino where are you?" I muttered again
I silently walked down the road and allowed my feet to bring me to wherever they want to go.
"I warn you senpai, I'll take him-- no her from you, decide from your imaginary girl or real one,"
I silently cursed when I remembered Kariya's words.
~Flashback~
I was guarding the door of the restroom as Kirino change, wishing the devil wouldn't try to barge in.
"Oh, Shindou-senpai~ what're you doing?"
"Speaking of, oh, Kariya, you too?"
"Don't play dumb my beloved senpai who is currently guarding his bestfriend,"
"What do you mean Kariya?"
"I'll tell you...do you love Kirino-senpai?"
"Wha?! Of- of course... as a friend..."
"Is that so...? How 'bout your Okatsu?"
"What's with Okatsu, now?" I fought the urge to roll my eyes.
"Hehehe... seems like you still love her..."
"Hmm... then...?" I really don't have the time for his jokes
"I warn you senpai, I'll take him-- no her from you, decide from your imaginary girl or real one,"
"What are you-- hey! Kariya! You knew?!"
Did Kirino also tell Kariya her secret?
"That doesn't matter, but remember my words," he smirked then fled off
I felt my blood boil. What am I feeling?
"Kirino, you done?" I asked
"Just a sec,"
Do I love her?
I'm pretty sure not... maybe I just remember Okatsu in her...
Or her in Okatsu?
I leaned my forehead in the door dividing us.
"Kirino...do I love-"
That's when the door opened, making me fall ontop of my bestfriend.
Then it hit me... WE'RE-!! Okay... calm down... we started to pull away...
Why is my heart beating like this...?

How idiotic I am when it comes to love.
I didn't notice I was walking towards the park.
I silently smiled. That place... was the place I met her...
She even lied she was a boy. She even forgot her winter clothes. That was the day I tied her hair into 2 twin tails.
My eyes widened.
I ran and ran.
This will be my chance.
It's now or never.
And this time,
I'm certain.

Kirino: Love it!
Arturia: *groans* I didn't let you suffer... just this day though
Kariya: Why am I always the villain?
Arturia: I don't know...because I hate MasaRan?

Arturia: *slams her head in the desk* I forgot... maybe I'll make a chapter for you guys? Maybe the next one?
RanTaku: NO!
KyouTen: YES!
