Saturday na naman. Ugh! Ayoko pa magpakita kay Cassian. I mess up our experiment yesterday. As in parang binagyo yung lab at maraming nasirang laboratory tool. Dahil dun nagkaroon ako ng award, ang mag-linis at mag-ayos para sa darating na Campus Day. Because Cassian is my partner, damay sya.
Bago ako lumabas ay inabutan ako ni Yuri ng Coffee. "Thanks."
"No biggie. Good luck. Hope you have a nice day."
"Wag mo na nga ako asarin." I pouted.
"Haha. Just go and stay alive." Hays. Lumabas na ako ng bahay. Naka-ilang lunok na ako sa bawat pagbaba ko ng hagdan. Di na ako nag-elevator dahil imi-meet ko daw sya sa floor nila.
Naka-sandal na Cassian ang naabutan ko. Naka-white shirt lang sya at jogging pants. Tiningnan ko ang damit ko. Naka white na long sleeve blouse kasi ako. Don't get me wrong. Coincidence Lang na maka-kulay kami ng damit. Let's not make it a big deal tho.
I got intimidated by his stares. Feeling ko ililibing na nya ako ng buhay. "Your 5 minutes late." He said with his infamous cold tone.
He start walking to the elevator. It took me seconds to realize that the elevator door is about to close. So I hurried.
"Woops. Wait up!" Wala talaga syang balak maging gentleman. As I enter he didn't give way so ako ang nag-adjust at pumunta sa isang sulok. He press the ground button. Just a minute and we're out.
Dire-diretso lang to. He have the distance because his legs are too long!! Yung lakad nya takbo ko na halos eh. "You Jerk! Wait up." Hindi na ako nakapag-pigil at sinigawan sya.
Gulp. "Your too slow. I have other business than being a tutor." He said and walk in his way again.
I stump my feet, and follow him. Nakarating kami sa Court ng Academy. Naupo ako sa bleachers na naroroon. May layo din to sa tinutuluyan ko at Isa pa nakaka-hingal kaya. "So now, you need to focus and concentrate. We'll try the defense. Create a barrier." Pwede bang pahinga muna ako? Napaka-straight to the point naman Kasi.
I stood up and glare at him. He match it with the intensity of his stares. Ayoko na! Sya na panalo. "How would I do that?"
"Just focus..."
"That's absurd. I don't get it." Anong klaseng intructions naman kasi yun.
"Stop talking. I'm not finish yet! So I was saying, focus and think about a barrier that is made with your element. Use your brain, if you still have one." I try imagining a barrier made of fire. Nothing happened.
"...err." ilang minutes na at wala parin.
"Watch." He then stare in a blank space and a smoke began forming, later on it burns and it suddenly make a fire wall.
"Just concentrate. Your turn." The barrier vanish in a split second. The phase is clear. My turn.
Barrier please form. Come on!! I'm summoning my fire element! Work, Work, WORK!
Ugh! "La la la la~" I start humming while thinking that the fire would follow my orders. Natuwa naman ako ng makitang may nabubuo. I continue humming and put a sweet melody. Unti-unti kaming pinalibutan ng apoy. I created a close barrier. "La la la la~~" as I come up with the high pitch the red fire is turning blue. It's now flaming with intensity.
"Not bad." He commented. "Now shut down the barrier." He said. I step my feet with a force and the fire is starting to go down and have it's way to me. Parang bumabalik lang yung elementforce sakin. As soon as it's gone. We proceed to the next lesson of defense.
"Let's try the attacks." Sa dulo ay may nakita akong movement ng kung ano. Nagtatago ito sa may pader pero kita mo naman na ang hibla ng damit.
"Come out Hanz. You should've hide without being notice " sigaw ni Cassian.
Lumapit Naman na si Hanz sa kinaroroonan namin. "So... Cassian isn't coming because of your session. Nice one."
Mukhang may lakad ata silang di natuloy
"Since your hear. Build some trees."
"Para sirain niyo Lang?" Pag-iiba ng expresyon ng mukha nito.
"Just do it." Cassian.
"Fine." Then I saw some sprout that grew into a tree. May apat na patpating kawayan ang nakatayo sa gitna. May kalayuan din yun saamin.
"Try shooting."
"Shoot?"
"Just think about something. That will help you cutting the tree." Think of something?
Then I imagine some ring of fire. I point my hand and it created a ring. Binilisan ko ang pag-form hanggang sa madami na sila. I then push the fire forward. Yung iba lumihis ng direksyon. And the Fire Rings are after Hanz. So he created some vines to protect him. The other rings hit the ground before reaching the main target
Sa dami ng nagawa ko isa lang ang tumama sa kawayan at nasunog lang ang Isa sa mga dahon nito. "Pfft." Pag-pipigil ng tawa ni Hanz.
"I told you to cut the trees not to burn a single leaf."
"Hey chill! I tried." I'm just a begginer here!
"Try creating a shurikens out of fire. Rings are weak." Edi wow. Let's try.
Ang hirap naman i-form. I'm not good at forming stuffs yet. It took me a minute to build one. "You should try better than that." Sa inis ko ay naka-gawa ako ng malaking shuriken. Almost a meter stick long ang laki nito.
I began swirling it. Dahil sa inis parin ako ay hinagis ko sabay ang maliit at malaking shuriken. The small shuriken hit the tree and jump to another hanggang sa maging maliit na ito. Sumunod ang malaking shuriken at nagkanda-durog durog na nga ng tuluyan ang puno. "That's the shot!" Palakpak pa sakin ni Hanz.
Napalitan ang inis ko ng konting tuwa. Hey! It's a good thing I didn't mess up this time.
"Where's the other guys. Ask them to come here." Tumango si Hanz at bigla nalang nawala sa paningin namin.
"...for you, take a break." Dumiretso ako sa bleachers at kinuha ang cold coffee. I take a drink. Napatingin ako sa nakaupong Cassian. He's just staring at his hand. Clicking his tounge.
Dumating na ang mga lalaki at dali-dali ko ng inubos ang cold coffee. Cassian's brother is out of sight. Nakita ko namang naka-jogging pants sila, yung iba ay naka-jersey pa. I wonder what they are up to.
"Hey bro."Xian
"Whasup"Luke
"The handsome is here."Archer
Napansin kong wala din si Martin. "Martin is with Stephen." Si Luke naman ang nag-salita.
"So, let's start."
"So what steps are we going to try first?" Out of the blue na sabi ni Xian.
"Silly. We're here to help Rose."Said Hanz
"Oh... I see. It's a good thing she messed the laboratory. We don't have to worry about the potion making." Banggit ni Archer. Nakita ko na naman ang masamang timpla ng mukha ni Cassian.
"They have received the award of clean---"
"Shut your mouth up!" Ayan na naman ang boses nyang galing sa reff. Ang lamig!! Hot Ice.
Napapayuko nalang ako. I'm the root of the mess. Pina-alala na naman nila. "Xian. Build an Ice Wall." At may yelong bumalot sa sahig at nabuo ang matatayog at matutulis na Ice. This is not even a wall. More on spikes.
Feeling ko pag hinawakan ko Yung pinaka-point ay sugat agad ang abot ko
"Melt the Ice in one shot using a Fire Ball." Cassian.
"GO ROSE!" Cheer nila. I can't focus.
I start a small fire in my hand. Pano naman kaya to magiging hugis bilog? I try rounding it. Nakahulma naman ako, the only problem is how to make the flame strong enough to break the Ice.
Ng medyo lumaki ay sobrang bilis ng pag-ikot sa kamay ko. Medyo lumilihis na kasi ito. Balance! No it's slipping.
The next thing I know.
(—_—) the fire is heading the boy's direction. Inilagan naman nila. Dahilan ng pagkasira ng mga upuan. Nagsigawan naman sila at nagpalakpakan.
Mga baliw.
"Cassian! Dude!"
"Don't even try to mention it." Napasapo nalang ito ng noo. Ibig sabihin ba non, bagong lilinisin na naman? Woaw! May bagong award na naman kami. That's not good.
Napamali naman ako ng apak sa sahig. Nakalimutan ko ang yelo.
"You really can't last a day without messing up things, huh?" A sudden flash made me blink. I saw Hanz's phone.
"Hey delete that---"
Now the situation is at its worst.
My eyes widened when my lips touch the side part of his lips. My body froze. How can I be so clumsy and fall!
Did we just... I'm screwed.
I stood up and ran, away from the court.
Ilang beses akong nakabunggo pero tuloy-tuloy lang ako sa pagtakbo. May mga times na natatalisod ako.
W-we kissed.
