Growing up has been tough for sixteen-year old Felicity Ventura. Not a day has passed that her insecurities aren't emphasized.

•She's taller than her crush and most boys her age
•Her brother thinks she's a harbinger of bad luck to the San Rafael Voyagers
•She feels deprived of the opportunity to be part of the sport she is passionate about and the only thing she knows she's good at
•She's probably the only one in St. Matthew's who doesn't have an admirer
As she goes through the first quarter of the school year, Felicity finds herself in situations where she is forced to address these very issues. It doesn't help that her new classmate, North, has a knack at putting her in embarrassing situations.
Question is: will she recognize the opportunities to turn her insecurities into goals that will make her stand tall and proud? Or will she spend the rest of her high school life feeling bitter and hunched in the shadows?
