Trubel's POV

If these people slipped up, I was going to kill them all.

I was waiting for them to make one mistake, any mistake, and then I would make them regret ever existing.

But they weren't making any mistakes which told me that they had done this kind of thing before. I didn't think it was possible to hate them more, but apparently, it was possible because every second that passed made me more pissed off.

Of course, most people who were tied up and locked in the trunk of a car would probably feel the same way.

I couldn't just lie here. I had to make some kind of move.

I wiggled around in the tight space until I was able to get my hands out from behind my back. Now that they were tied up in front of me, I could rip the tape off of my mouth and work on getting the tape off of my wrists. I chewed on it until I was finally able to rip it off.

My hands were free. Now my legs.

Those pussheads took my knife (okay, knives if I was being honest) and my machete, so I couldn't cut the tape off of my ankles. I felt around in the dark until I found the edge of the tape and pulled at it to peel the rest of it off of my legs.

Now what? I could tell we were still moving and I didn't think I could just jump out of the car... But, maybe I could. I had to get the trunk open first.

I brushed my hands along the edges and floor of the trunk, hoping to find some kind of tool and coming up empty. No jack, no crowbar, nothing; the trunk was completely empty.

Crap.

Okay, plan B. I started kicking at the tail light. If I was lucky, it would pop off, I could stick my hand through, and someone driving behind us could call the cops or something. Hopefully, they would understand that someone in the trunk of a pretty shady looking car would be suspicious.

I kept kicking at the light, but it wouldn't come off. They must have rigged it so it wouldn't come loose because I knew from experience that it wasn't normally this hard. Anyway, plan B didn't work.

Ugh. I hated plan C. Plan C meant I had to stay in this freaking car.

I found the scraps of tape that I had pulled off and put them back on. I ripped the long piece of tape that was around my legs in a bunch of pieces. I put those back on my legs, but I could still pull my legs apart with a very small amount of force. I put the tape that had been over my mouth back in its spot.

I saved my hands for last. They were the hardest. I did the same thing I did with the tape from around my legs - I made it look like it was before, but I could still pull my arms apart.

As a result, I was no longer restrained, but I looked like it. Plan C was the element of surprise.

I hoped it would work.

Or, if I was going out, that I could take a few of these jerks with me.

*************

Trubel's POV

The car stopped. I guess, we hadn't been driving for all that long, so we must still be somewhere in Portland.

I heard a few car doors open and slam shut. The two people in the car must have gotten out. I heard talking, but I couldn't make out most of it.

The only thing I caught was, "Get her out of the trunk."

I didn't want to be anywhere near these psychos, but I also didn't want to die in the trunk of their car, so...

The trunk popped open and I saw the two men from earlier standing in front of me. Behind them stood about ten other people.

There went plan C. I couldn't kill all these people, especially since they were all close to me and watching me very carefully.

The man, I think his name was Grant, reached down to pull me out of the car. Grant was a normal human from what I could tell. If I was going to take someone out, he would be the easiest. I decided to blow my cover and launch myself at him. He smashed on the ground and the others backed up to let him fall.

What good friends they are, I thought sarcastically.

I landed on top of Grant and ripped the tape off of my face because it annoyed me. Then, I started throwing punches. Grant was knocked out after two. Knocked out was good enough for me.

Someone wrapped one arm around my torso and another around my shoulders from behind. I brought my chin to my chest before snapping my head back forcefully. I heard the snapping sound I was looking for. I just broke my attacker's nose with my backward headbutt. I would have started laughing if I wasn't so busy fighting.

Whoever had grabbed me let go after feeling their nose shatter which was exactly what I was hoping for. I wriggled out of his grip and punched the guy in the chest. He fell to the ground.

I felt two people come at me at once, each one grabbing one of my arms. I pulled one of my arms close to me, and the guy grabbing it was thrown off balance and fell towards me. I headbutted him, too, before kneeing him in the groin. He fell to the ground like the other man.

But there was still someone attached to me. His grip was held tightly onto my wrist. I twisted my arm in a direction that I knew his arm and wrist couldn't bend. He couldn't keep his grip, and I pulled my arm free. I quickly spun around and kicked him in the face. He was out.

I looked up and couldn't help noticing the crowd of people that were watching the fight rather than participating in it.

I'm glad I amuse you, I hissed bitterly in my head.

There was one man in particular who was standing confidently with his arms crossed over his chest. He looked like the boss of the group. I decided I would get to him if I could.

I started making my way over to him, knocking a few people on their ass in the process. I almost got there, too, except someone got a running start and tackled me. I didn't see them until it was too late.

He was on top of me and woged into a Weten Ogen (Lynx Wesen). He bared his teeth and snarled. It tried to kick him off, but he grabbed my wrists to pin me down. I leaned my head over to the side and sunk my teeth into his wrist. I may not be Wesen or have sharp teeth, but that should still have hurt a lot.

He snarled and pulled his hand away. I used my free arm to pull him towards me. He tried to pull away from me, letting go of my other arm. My death grip on his neck was pretty strong, and he couldn't get me off of him, so he bit my shoulder.

I winced but didn't loosen my grip. I pulled him closer and used my other free arm to wrap around his forehead and pull his face to the side so he couldn't bite me.

He tried to pull himself away again, but this time, I let him. I used his backward force to push him completely off of me.

I was on top of him, now. I punched him, but since he was Wesen, it took four to knock him out.

"That's enough," the boss spoke up.

The audience that had been watching the fight rushed towards me all at once. There were three of them.

They pulled me off of the Weten Ogen and pinned me down to the ground. They held down my wrists and my legs, so I couldn't move at all.

"You shouldn't have done that," the boss growled.

"Your buddies kidnapped me. I don't know what you expected me to do," I panted, struggling unsuccessfully to break free.

"Oh, great. You're a smartass on top of everything else," the boss said sarcastically, grinning to himself.

He irritated me, but he was right. I decided I was going to keep my mouth shut until I finally found out what was going on.

Some of the people I fought weren't unconscious, so they helped tape my wrists together. I wasn't making it easy for them.

I was still on the ground when the boss stood back up. The others copied him. The boss leaned down and grabbed my arm to get me on my feet.

Now that I wasn't in fighting mode, I started looking around myself. I was in some abandoned warehouse. It was pretty dark in here, but there were a few windows that allowed moonlight to rush in. The whole building looked like it had been vacant for quite a while. The concrete walls were decaying, most of the windows were broken, and everything was blanketed in thick layers of dirt and dust. I tried to see outside. It looked like there weren't many buildings close by and the ones that were looked worse than the one we were in. There probably weren't any good people for miles.

I was screwed, but I couldn't help thinking how I didn't really feel very scared. Of course, with some of the experiences I've had over the course of my life, it was pretty hard to make me get to that point anyway.

I guess I just figured that these people would have killed me already if they wanted to. The boss led me, and the rest of the conscious group, to another room of the abandoned building. It was as decrepit and dirty as the other room I had been in. There was a round concrete pillar in the middle of the room that extended all the way up to the ceiling.

The boss led me over to it and told me to sit. I didn't which pissed him off. He shoved me into it and the back of my head slammed against the concrete pillar. It hurt and made me feel kind of dizzy.

"Don't play with me," he growled. I realized that he was just a normal human. Even so, he was kind of intimidating. "Sit," he repeated.

I still ignored him.

He glared at me and I glared back. He motioned for one of his friends to come over. The friend woged into a Balam. Right when I noticed that he was a pretty big guy, he literally picked me up and threw me.

I only flew a few feet, but the landing sucked. I had my hands tied in front of me still, so I couldn't catch my fall very well. I gasped before hitting the concrete ground, landing on my back. My head whipped back and cracked into the concrete. Now, I was really starting to feel dizzy. My vision was still somewhat blurry when I felt a few hands wrap around my arms and drag me back to the pillar.

I was disoriented. I was still struggling but not putting up half the fight that I did before. I felt the tape come away and something else replace it on my wrists. My arms were stretched behind me and around the pillar. it was barely thin enough to have my arms fit around it. I realized that they had just chained me to it. There was no getting out of this unless I chewed through my freaking shoulder. I couldn't break chains and I couldn't break the concrete pillar.

The boss leaned down so he was right in my face. My vision had become focused again. It happened quickly which was one of the perks of being a Grimm.

"My name is Andre," he said. I didn't respond to him, so he kept talking. "And I hear you know a man named Nick Burkhardt," he added. The men that brought me here must have heard me talking to Nick on the phone.

Him being interested that I knew Nick wasn't a good sign. Nick probably arrested someone Andre knew.

"He killed my brother, Kai," Andre said. Uh-oh. That was a lot worse than arresting him. The men behind Andre started exchanging nervous looks.

I could tell that Andre was going to do something and it wasn't going to be good.

"I think that you could help me get even with Burkhardt. You're a Grimm like he is and you called him, so you must be close," Andre explained as he grinned to himself.

"You're going to kill me, aren't you?" I said, doing my best to sound bored. I wasn't bored, though. I was internally panicking. I wasn't really too hot on dying right now (I mean, my life hadn't been going too bad; I kind of had a hot streak going), and I didn't want this creep to hurt Nick.

"Not yet," Andre said, still grinning. He rose to his feet and walked out the door. One man stayed behind to watch me, but the others left.

I sighed. Not yet? That could suck.

It was really late and I was tired, but the thought of falling asleep and not waking up was daunting. I tried to keep my eyes open as long as possible even though I knew that I couldn't stay awake forever.
