Hank's POV

Wu and I had been staring at the desolate entrance of the hotel for what felt like forever. It was clear that we were both uncomfortable from the thought that we could be doing more. It didn't seem like our suspects were going to make a move anytime soon, and it seemed like we were wasting our time.

"Maybe we should call Franco. Have him take over for tonight," I suggested.

"Works for me," Wu agreed.

Wu picked up his phone to call Franco, and it rang in his hand.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Not Franco," Wu said, answering it and putting it one speaker. "Nick," he said. "How'd it go?"

"Let's just say we won't be getting any help from HW anytime soon," Nick told us. He sounded frustrated.

"Not good, huh?" I asked him.

"They don't care about Trubel at all. They basically said whatever happened was her own fault." Wu and I exchanged unhappy expressions. "I did get something we could use. Can you meet me at the Spice Shop?" Nick explained.

"Yeah, we just have to wait for Franco to take over," I told him.

"And you're never going to believe where we tailed them," Wu said.

"Where?" Nick asked.

"The hotel where we arrested Trubel," I said.

"She told them to go there?" Nick guessed.

"That's what we're thinking," Wu said.

We heard Nick sigh over the phone. "Okay, make sure Franco knows who he's looking for."

"Got it," I said. "We'll meet you at the Spice Shop."

Nick hung up the phone and Wu immediately dialed Franco's number. Franco answered and was happy to do us the favor of watching the hotel for us. I told him the names of the people we were watching, and he looked at the pictures from the case files on Nick's and my desk. He said he'd be able to recognize any of them if he saw them. A few minutes later, he showed up in his squad car and parked it on the curb across from the hotel near us. We thanked him, and then I drove Wu to his Prius so we could both drive our cars to the Spice Shop.

As I drove, I wondered what Nick had gotten from HW that he thought would help him.

Trubel's POV

I texted Dwaine the address of the hotel I stayed at when I first came to Portland. I knew it was cheap and on the complete opposite side of town as us, so I figured it would be a safe bet. Zach and the others that hated me were still pretty worked up, so Roy and I decided that heading back down to the basement would be a good next move.

We waited there on the couch, listening to Zach and Julian yelling complaints about me until the door at the top of the stairs opened. I expected to see Andre's angry face, but instead I saw Orion's. He slammed the door behind himself and slowly walked down the stairs with this uncomfortable look on his face. Roy quickly got up from the couch.

"What do you want?" he demanded.

"Right now?" Orion asked moodily. "Some silence." He sighed and walked closer to me and Roy. He pointed at the TV. "What're you guys watching?"

"Just a tactical shooting show," I told him. "Want to join us?"

Orion looked nervously between Roy and me before saying, "I don't know if I'm on everyone's guest list."

I looked over at Roy, taking in his livid expression. I guess he still hadn't forgiven Orion for planning to kill him, and I couldn't blame him for that.

"Don't act like you didn't have that coming," Roy hissed.

I should have told Roy to knock it off, but his relationship with Orion was much more complicated than I understood. I figured it would be best to let them figure it out. I would only step in if I needed to.

Orion threw his hands up in frustration. "I don't know what to do here, man."

"You could start with an apology!" Roy yelled. "You tried to kill me over this petty Grimm drama after everything we've been through. Tell me why that shouldn't piss me off!"

"It should. I get that," Orion tried to admit calmly, though he sounded on edge. "I know I made a mistake-"

"A big one," Roy interrupted. His face rippled, but he didn't completely woge. Only his eyes remained glowing with golden intimidation.

"But I want to make it right," Orion tried to soothe.

"Why should we trust you? Why should we even consider the idea that you want to be on our side?" Roy demanded.

"Because I was wrong!" Orion yelled. "And I can't stand listening to all of their," he said gesturing to the door at the top of the stairs, "Stupid complaints."

"Yeah, imagine how we felt having to listen to all of you," Roy suggested.

Orion sighed again. "I feel like a real idiot, Roy. And if I have to pick a side, it's definitely not theirs." Orion looked between us again and earnestly said, "I'm sorry."

"Okay," Roy said.

I decided it was my turn to get involved. "We cool?" I asked.

"That depends," Roy said, looking at Orion. "You're really okay with Trubel being a Grimm?"

"I'm okay with Trubel," was all Orion said. I wasn't quite sure what that meant. Did he mean that he only objected to the fact that I was a Grimm, or did it mean he accepted me, Grimm nature included? I wasn't going to push the issue because he was on my side for now, and I needed more allies.

"Then, welcome to the club," I greeted.
