I woke up in Dr. Olendzki's office again.
"Alice, what did you do now?"
I sat up. "I passed out." I looked around the room. Dimitri wasn't there.
I stood. "Am I good? To go?" I asked.
She nodded. "No concussion. But be more careful when you walk next time."
I nodded. Dimitri had lied to her about what had happened.
As soon as I left, I went up to the office. "Do you know where Dimi -guardian Belikov- is?"
She thought for a second. "He may be in the chapel, or the gym."
"Thank you!" I took off quickly.
Arriving at the chapel, I saw Dimitri's gorgeous body, bent over, sitting, head down.
I approached quietly, and he didn't move when I approached him.
"Dimitri..." I said his name softly.
He looked up then, and I saw hurt in his eyes.
"I'm sorry." His voice was a whisper.
"For what? I'm the one who should be apologizing to you."
"I... I kissed you. I'm in love with you." His words rang throughout my head.
"Dimitri, look at me." He didn't look at me. I tilted his head up with my fingers. Then, I leaned down and kissed him. Soft, and sweet.
When I pulled away, I spoke. "I kissed you too. And... I love you too."
He looked up at me again. "Alice... we can't."
"I know. But I will always love you." I turned, and left the chapel, where from there, I went straight to my room, and cried.
I cried for my love.
I cried for my past.
I cried for my future.
I cried for my life.
I cried and cried for hours, until I couldn't anymore.
