I walked into the library after breakfast. Walking to the shelf where I hid my notebook, I panicked when I couldn't find it. I realized that I hid it behind the encyclopedia so no one would find it. I got the book and went to sit on the couch before reading it.

23 January
Today was our anniversary and I was so excited. Xavier had a surprise planned for me and it was killing me to know what he had planned. The whole day he was dropping hints and I was dying to know what it was.
“Please tell me what it is!” I whined and like the other 50 times he brushed me off saying that it is called a surprise for a reason.
He had me blindfolded as soon as I got I to the car and when the car stopped, he carried me the rest of the way.
“I don’t see the need for you to carry me.” I stated annoyed with him.
“I have to carry you, because knowing you are so clumsy, you will trip over your own two feet.” He laughed and I huffed.
He stopped and walking and put me down. “We are here.” He announced and took off the blindfold.
I was speechless.
It was a romantic candle lit dinner for two in a garden that looked like it belonged in a fantasy novel. There were fairy lights scattered all over the garden. In the trees, in the flowers and in the bushes.
"Do you like it?" He asked a little nervous. He had his one hand in his pocket and his other hand rubbing the back of his neck.
He looked boyishly handsome. He wore dark jeans with a white buttoned shirt and a coat. His hair was gelled back and he was clean shaven but I liked his stubble and the way it tickled me when we kissed.
I was overflowing with emotions. I jumped him which caused us to fall to the ground and I kissed him with my all and every single emotion I felt.
He kissed me back with the same passion. "I am going to take that as a yes." He smiled sexily when we stopped.
"It is a big yes." I smiled and hugged him.
"We better get up before the food gets cold."
We got up and dusted our clothes before he took my hand and guided me to the table.
He pulled out my chair, like a true gentleman. He went around the table and took his seat.
About 20 minutes later...
Once we finished eating, Xavier guided me through the garden and to an opening where he had a blanket and pillows set up with more candles and a bottle of red wine with two glasses.
There was rose petals in a shape of hearts all around the blanket set up and I felt so emotional.
I was so full of love that I felt like I was going to burst.
"One last surprise." He smiled and placed a kiss on my lips.
We walked to the blanket and sat down. He popped open the bottle and poured the wine into our glasses.
"Salute." I said and we clinked our glasses together.
I rested my back against him and sighed contented with everything.
"Tonight was amazing." I said and turned to look at him. "Thank you, my love."
He smiled at me."Anything for you mia bella."
I leaned in but he laughed and stopped me. I pouted at his rejection of my kiss.
"Every time you kiss me, things get out of hand." He chuckled and I pouted.
"Not this time." I looked at him innocently, although I was planning in my head a lot of other things.
He kissed me and I was shocked at first but I recovered and kissed him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down so he was on top of me, he smiled against my lips and kissed me harder.
I wrapped my legs around his waist, feeling his erection. I tightened my legs bring him closer to me. I moaned as I felt him near my entrance.
He trailed kisses along my jawline, biting my sensitive spot, sending a wave of pleasure throughout my body and I shivered.
He lifted my top and I tried to take it off. He laughed and helped me with the top, and tossed it aside, revealing the black satin bra I was using.
He pulled down the straps and the cups, revealing my breasts. I was a bit self conscious as this was the first time he saw me braless, but he just smirked and trailed kisses all the way to my breasts.
"Ohhh shit." I moaned as he sucked, bit and played with my nipple with his tongue. His other hand cupped my other breast. His cold hand contrasted with the heat of my body and I loved it.
I felt myself getting wet as he swapped actions with my breasts, taking my other nipple in his mouth and playing with the other.
My hands fisted in his hair and I screamed as he sucked a little too hard but I loved it.
He looked at me with darkened eyes, I knew he was hesistant so I grabbed his face, bringing him to kiss me to assure him that I want it as well.
Our tongues moved in sync, like professional tango dancers. I started to undo the buttons on his shirt and soon it was off, revealing his well defined torso.
Next was my turn, he unbuttoned my jeans and pulled them off. And soon was his jeans. All that stood between us and making love was our underwear.
"Are sure?" Xavier stopped kissing me and I felt like slapping for doing so.
"Yes." I smiled and pulled him to kiss me.
I was a mess. A hot, moaning mess.
I was dying from all the pleasure but I wanted more and he was holding back.
Just when things were getting really good his phone rang.
"What the fuck!" I grumbled and threw myself back.
Xavier was just as furious. "What?!" He yelled into the phone and I felt shivers running through my body at the sound of his voice.
Damn even his voice turns me on
His eyebrows knitted together as he listened to the person. Soon he hung and and looked at me.
"I am sorry babygirl but we have to leave." He looked at me apologetically.
"Just a little while longer?" I asked him and he smirked.
"Anything for you." He grinned and kissed me, grinding his hips against mine in the process.
10 minutes later...
Once we were done with our little make out session we got dressed and I tried my best to recover from the devil that is Xavier.
"You are so going to pay for this." I grumbled as we walked back to the car.
"I won't mind paying." He smirked and grabbed my ass. "This belongs to me." He stated and squeezed it.
"You belong to me." I said rather possessively and he smirked.
"And only to you baby." He said and placed a kiss on my forehead.
We reached the car and got in before driving back home.
The events of tonight replayed in my head. If only his phone didn't ring...
Fuck my life!
The same thing happened back at the park!
"Baby..." Xavier called out to me.
"What." I snapped but I didn't mean to.
"I am sorry about tonight. I promise to you, I will make it up to you." He said sincerely and kissed my hand.
"I hope you know that you have set a very high standard for yourself tonight and I don't expect nothing less." I said and he laughed.
"Don't you worry that pretty little head of yours, what I am going to do, you will die from all the pleasure." He smirked mischievously.
I shivered. "I am waiting." I smirked and ran my hand up and down his thigh.
"Dio! You will be the death of me." He sighed.
We got out of the car and went up to the penthouse.
As soon as we got into the apartment. The whole atmosphere changed. It was colder and I felt Xavier change along with it. He was now the cold ruthless mafia man that he truly was.
"Adriana go up to your room." Xavier said and placed a kiss on my forehead.
"I want to know what is going." I said coldly and he was taken back.
I have never ever spoken to him like ever since we started dating.
"You are not allowed to." He said regaining his composure.
"I am allowed to." I was getting irritated with him.
Who does he think he is?!
"Fine." He said after a while.
We walked to the library, where everyone seemed to be gathered.
They all stared at me as soon as I walked into the library.
"Adriana you are not-"
"Shut the fuck up!" I snapped at Ricardo. He maybe older than me but that doesn't mean he can tell me what to do. "You guys are hiding things from me and I want to know why."
"Adri this is all for your protection." Rinaldo spoke up.
"What fucking protection?" I asked annoyed with them. "I have bodyguards with me every fucking second of the day. You guys don't let me go out on my own. What more protection do you want?!"
They kept quiet.
"Exactly so tell me what the fuck is going on." I said sitting down on the couch and crossed my legs.
"You really are Salvatore De Leo's daughter." Alexander chuckled. "I fear that you are becoming like us."
"Shut up Alex, she will not be like us." Xavier scolded.
"Look at her! She is the splitting image of the mafia boss." He stated and they all looked at me.
I felt the powerful bloodline in me. The tainted image and reputation of the De Leo clan. The blood of cold and ruthless killers.
"Shit." I heard someone cuss under their breath.
"Adriana Regina De Leo." Rinaldo spoke. "-is becoming a true bred mafia boss."
I looked at Xavier and he looked disappointed. I guessed a part of him wanted me to stay the good and pure girl I was, but the truth is I was not. The blood that ran through my veins was that of powerful and merciless people that was my family.
"We should get started." Ricardo announced, opening a folder that was laid on the coffee table and began reading through it.
That day changed everything for me. I was included in the mafia life...

I smiled as I finished reading the last page of the entry. I remembered that day so clearly like it happened yesterday. I lost myself to the mafia world that day but it helped me grow emotionally and physically.
