I see people dancing in rain
I see them waiting for the clouds to pour all-day
I see people camping on the roof just to see the sun go down
Count the stars all night till it's dawn
And write songs about the beautiful sunrise.
But these beautiful wonders of nature never fascinated me.
I could never run in the rain and say I don't feel cold.
I could never watch the sunset and say I don't miss the day.
I could never travel far away and say my heart was not left behind.
Maybe I just like staring out the window looking at the blank wall,
Maybe I just love how my heart rumbles with the thunder.
Maybe I just love the sound of rain on my window.
Maybe I just enjoy sitting on my bed and reading my books.
And at that time, in my head, I run a thousand miles,
Climb the highest mountains and jump off the sheerest cliffs.
And at the time, it is all wonderful and perfect.
