Its cold. It's so damm cold. I can't move. I can't see well my vision is blurry I think I've been drugged. I can hear two people talking, but can't make out the words. My hands seem to be bound also my feet.
The voices get closer.
"The probability of success although increased thanks to (his,her) bodies composure is still minimal"
A rough growls voice speaks "I don't care I want you to do it"
The man sighs in obvious frustration "Very well. How much of the DNA samples should I use?"
"How much is left?"
"5 viles of blood"
"Use it all"
"What?!" A hand slams into what I think is a metal table "We've been only using one vile for test subject and they've all been failures!"
"Don't you yell at me" I recognize that voice now it's Hank "This is an order from Ms.Luthor she strongly believes this subject is different"
"Fine" The stops beside me. He opens a small case and grabs a needle. He catches me staring at him "Don't worry you'll probably end up dead like the others" He injects me in my neck and I fall unconscious.
I feel a sudden surge of power flow through me. My eyes open. I somehow manage to break my metal restraints. As I rise up from the operating table the doctor looks at me with a look of utter joy "YES, YES, YES!" He screams I try to balance myself but I'm still feeling the effect of the anesthesia" Ms.Luthor is going to be so pleased!"
I remember where I am now. Adrenaline pumps through my veins. I run out of the door and into a confusing maze of corredores.
I run through them with no sense of direction. I take a right and am met with a guard looking at me with his back turned towards me. Maybe I am not thinking right. Maybe I'm not thinking at all, but I chose to body slam the 7 foot tall man.
He seemed weightless as I easily slammed into him. I aimed for the wall the shattering sound that erupted once I reached my target was intense. I lost my balancing falling down in the process by just the sheer shock as to what I did.
I slammed that man right trough the wall like it was nothing. Needless to say I don't think he'll be getting up any time recently.
What they'd do to me?
I just manage to stand. The hole I left is massive. It's both impressing and scary for me.
I wonder through the hallways again. The sound of heavy boots is startling as they quickly get closer. I back up onto something that has no business being in the middle of a corridor. I immediately turn around and am met with a punch to the face.
My vision gets hazy but I can still make out the outline of Hank towering over my body. "We're gonna need to find a way to control (him,her)" a pale feminine outline appears.
"I've got a an idea" Hank says as I loose all consciousness.
"That's what I experienced when I got into (Y,n) mind" I give a few moments for everyone to come to terms before speaking up again "Agent Schott I need you to lead an intel team. Find where Lex and Lillian are. Vasquez I need you to gather another team to keep and eye on Rhea she's not gonna be happy when she figures out what happened to her son" Everyone seems drained from their forces. I can't blame them the situation was bad enough with just the Daxamites and now we gotta worry about the Luthor well two of them at least. But when spirits are low and everyone feels like crawling into a hole to wait for death but that's when a leader has to to his job and bring hope back to his followers "I know the situation is dire. We're fighting a war on two fronts... Everyday the world seems to want to make us kneel and submit to it. But we WON'T we have accomplished to much to just give up now. We've saved refuges from other planetas ,we've stopped Zod's invasion. We have fought and bleed for this planet. And our enemies wish to take that all away. The Daxamite's wish to take Mon-El on of our own, and have every man, woman and child bend the knee before them. The Luthor's wish to tear apart families just because they weren't born here. They've taken away one of our (brothers,sisters) in arms. NO MORE we're are not gonna anyone take away anymore. We're gonna fight this and we're gonna win. Now get back to work."
Everyone in the room disperses out the doors. Except for Kara who seems to have a lot on her mind. Which is the case for most of us, but she has the worst of it. She walks over to me, head looking at the ground "What's wrong?"
"I've just been thinking..."
"About?"
She looks looks up from the floor and to me. She gives me a broken smile. I can tell the answer is 'everything' but I let her continue "With Lex out of prison I think the D.E.O. should bring Lena here for her own protection"
"That's a good idea, but I doubt Lena would trust a secret government agency with her life. I'm not sure even Supergirl could convince her"
She shakes her head in refusal "Supergirl isn't going to tell her about the D.E.O."
"Then who's gonna tell her?"
She looks me in the eyes "Kara is"
For a moment I'm puzzled, but I figure it out "Are you sure you wanna do this?"
She gently nods in response.
*Sigh* "Then do what you must"
With that said Kara left on route to L-Corp
{Kara's Pov}
I land on Lena's office balcony. She spins her office chair to look at the balcony. She sighs in relief by seeing it's me. It's obvious she saw the news. As I walk in I can smell the stench of wine coming from her crimson lips. She stands up from her chair "Supergirl I heard the news. If there's anything I can do to help just ask"
I can't believe I'm gonna do this. I don't care what Lena thinks of me after this as long as she's safe that's all that matters. "I need to show you something"
She tilts her head in confusion "Alright?"
I grab a rubber band from her desk. I turn my back to her. I tie my hair into a tight ponytail. As the finishing touch I put on my glasses. I turn towards her. As expected her jaw nearly drops to the floor.
"Hi" is all I manage to say. Hours seem to pass in my head I can't take the silence anymore "Are you mad at me?"
That seems to finally thaw the silence "No, I'm not mad; just shocked."
That's good to hear "I need you to come with me. I've got a lot to tell you" I offer y hand to her.
"Where are we going?" She asks cautesly.
"Just trust me" She graciously accepts my hand.
I flew Lena through Nation City's skyline. She certainly seemed to enjoy it. If only it was under better circumstances.
We landed on the D.E.O balcony. I walked her through the hallway and into the cortex.
"Where are we?"
Before I could answer. Winn came running in. "Kara!"
"What is it?" I asked
He stops in his own tracks "Wait why is Lena here? Wait that doesn't really matter right now. Cadmus is transmitting something!" With a few clicks of his tablet the broadcast appears in the huge minutes in the room.
Lex appears on the screen which Lena body seems to automatically cringe to "People of earth. It is I Lex Luthor" All the D.E.O. agents look up at the monitor "I'm sure you've all heard of my escape from Strikers Penitentiary by now. I did not escape for myself. I escaped for YOU. The media calls me a terrorist for what I did. Yet they claim Superman is the hero... Tell me is this what a hero does.
Look at the way the invader left our city to burn! He used our planet as a meat shield and countless died from it! He may have saved thousand of innocents but he condemned thousands to die because he chose to live on this planet! And now history might repeat itself thanks to his cousins Supergirl. As we speak an Alien armada floats atop our planet ready to invade. Supergirl selfishly will not give over the their prince, and for that reason alone they are preparing to wage war on us. But fear not for Cadmus will stop this and if you think we can't just remember" the video switched over to a helicopter newsfeed.
"We've gotten reports of a rogue alien in front of the White House" the reposter says. They zoom in on supposed alien. (He,She) is hovering over the White House;back turned to the camera whilst secret service agents aim their guns at (him,her).
All to familiar laser beams fire from what seems like (his,her) eyes and onto the White House's lawn. The secret service agents unload but it seems to do nothing. It becomes apparent that (he,she) is t aiming at the secret service agents, but instead is burning a message into the lawn.
"WE ARE LEGION" the burning grass reads. (He,She) turns to the camera. It's (Y,n)...
What are they doing to (him,her)? Last I saw (him,her) (he,she) couldn't fly and (he,she) certainly didn't have laser vision. With a big boom from a sonic boom (he,she) flew off.
A/N: 😱I just got wifi again after almost 6o days without it. If you're reading this it means I published the chapters before this which is phenomenal! I actually had the booked finish but I didn't like the ending so I'm rewriting it. Hopefully it won't take sooooooo looooong to update the book. Goodbye and thanks for your patience!
