I have been staying with Paul for just over a month now and it is alot of fun but i have been wanting to go home for a few weeks now but mum keeps saying for me to stay here for a while longer.
Something is happening back home but i don't know what it is Mum visits me here all the time but daddy has not visited me since the party and mum looks really sad every time i see her and when i ask her what is wrong she just tells me everything is fine though i know its not
i was sitting on the couch watching my cartoons like i did every Saturday
" India" Paul said making me jump as i did not see him enter the room
" you made me jump"
" sorry ah your mum is coming to see you today she needs to talk to you about something"
"what does she need to talk to me about?"
" um well your mum will tell you when she see's you later ok"
" is it about daddy? i have not seen him in ages"
" your mum will tell you soon ok she is on her way so you wont have to wait long"
I have been sitting watching my cartoons waiting for ages on my mum to arrive to tell me what is wrong
there was a soft knock on the door and i ran to the door and opened it and flew into my mums arms and she held onto me tight and she began to cry
" whats wrong mum why are you crying im scared"
Paul grabbed me off mum
" come on let your mum get into the house and get her coat off ".
Paul had made himself and Cynthia a cup of Tea and he brought me a glass of milk into the living room
" India i have to tell you something and its about your dad"
" is he hurt is that why your crying?"
" no darling he is fine. me and your daddy are splitting up"
"i don't understand what does split up mean?"
" well your daddy does not love me anymore and that's ok sweetie. he lives in a new house now and he is not my husband anymore like he used to be" Cynthia said while crying
" does that mean he is not my daddy anymore?"
" he is still your daddy sweetie he will always be your daddy"
" has he stopped loving me as well?"
" no sweetie he still loves you lots"
" why does he not love you no more?"
Paul could see how hard it was for Cynthia to answer these questions and he grabbed her hand
" because he has found another girl who he loves more than me"
" does that mean i now have 2 mummies?"
" well i don't know you will have to ask your daddy?"
" i don't want you's to split up mummy"
" i know but it's ok there is nothing to be sad about you will still see us both and i promise once i get happy again you will come home to me and Hollie"
Cynthia stayed for a few hours and talked to Paul.
it was now late and i was lying in bed and Paul came in to tell me my bedtime story
" so what story do you want tonight"
" i don't want a story Paulie"
Paul sat on the end of my bed looking at we with a worried look on his face
" how are you feeling? i know its alot to understand"
" i feel sad i don't know why daddy fell in love with someone else"
" i don't know why either but sometimes you cant help who you fall in love with."
i sighed and fell asleep to the sound of uncle Paul singing to me
