*Maya's POV*
I get why Sara's stressed out. But I think she needs to calm down. We still have to time to worry about college..about like 5 months.
"Sara, don't worry. You'll be fine," I tell her.
"Ya, but I don't really know what I'm gonna major in," she adds.
"Didn't you say you wanted to be a singer? Just go to a performing arts college--like Juilliard," I suggest.
"Maya, it's not like you just sign up. Julliard's acceptance rate is like 7%," Sara sounds really intense.
"Well Julliard's just an option, there's other schools," I explain.
"There's no point. My parents will never let me apply," Sara frowns.
There has to be a way...
"Just ask Alex for a little endorsement," I suggest.
Sara shrugs. "..I don't know. That'll be like using him to get there."
"True," I agree. "But just ask."
"Nah, I'll figure it out."

Me: Aiono, u better get to memorizing lines
Alex: why, I didn't hear ab any plays..
Me: ur gonna do a cover w/ Sara..tonight
Alex: I was planning this huge surprise for her on her BDAY
Me: well just do it as an early surprise jeez
Alex: ig if that's what Sara's best friend thinks is best

*Alex's POV*
I don't know why Maya wants me to do a cover with Sara now. But they are best friends so I'm not gonna say anything...
Me: can we meet @ 5:30?

Sara: Havana ;)
Me: k
Sara: what r u planning ali?
Me: u'll find out soon enough

"Aww, I ship it even more!" Maya exclaims.
"Keep in mind, I wouldn't NEVER act like that when you get a boyfriend," I tell her.
"Um, that'll be when I get taller," Maya jokes.
"Aw c'mon, I'm short too," I awe.
"You're tall compared to me, you're 5"1," Maya frowns.
"Hey. Alex is like 5"10, ok. So I'm the shortie compared to him," I try to make her feel better.
"Ohh, that's where the "Baja and Alto Fight" comes from," Maya realizes.
I nod with a giggle. Ah our banter.
"Are we talking about Alex AGAIN?" Ava groans.
Maya and I look at her, walking away, continue talking.
I'm sorry, Ava. But you hate Alex.
*Ava's POV*
Well I'm sorry if I don't ship Salex. They're just disgusting. They make me wanna throw up. I mean I want Sara to be happy, but not with that burnt burrito. As much as I want to break them up, she seems happy. And I'm happy with Danny so.
"Babe, what's up? You seem...uncomfortable," Danny observes.
"It's nothing," I tell him.
"C'mon tell me," Danny pleads.
"Salex disgusts me," I grimace.
"Aw, that's why Dava's here to make it better," Danny hugs me.
That's why I love you, Danny. You make everything better.
--Afterschool-- *Maya's POV*
"So what happened today?" I ask my best friend, who's blushing.
"Alex asked my what my favorite song is, and I think he's planning a "secret" mashup," Sara explains, giggling.
"Aw, you and your lover," I giggle. Guess who you have to thank later, sis?

Sara's phone.
Sara gives me a goofy grin.
"Answer," I tell her.
She picks up the call.
"Hey, Martin," she says, greeting Alex through her phone.
I hope this call goes better than the last.

I don't know why I'm so nervous. I've talked to Martin so many times on the phone.

Alex: it sounds like a old man's name ;))

Maya seems satisfied. "Aw, my salex hart is filled with all my affection, attention," Maya awes.
"Nice pun, sis," I giggle.
"And have a nice time with," Maya tries to hold her laugh," Pablo."
"And I'm apparently Maria," I roll my eyes playfully. "I seriously need to talk to him about names."
"No, I love your guys' banter. It's way better than Lucaya's," Maya compliments.
"Well I better get going to see what Pablo's planning," I point to the door.
"Don't let my Salex hart melt just yet," Maya jokes, as I walk out.

--outside of Alex's house--
I see Alex, waving.
I get out my car, park into a nice parking spot near by.
"Hey, Pablo," I tease him, as I give him a hug.
"So if you wanna know what I'm planning, you're gonna have to let me put this blindfold on you," Alex bursts. "Maria."
I spin around, and let him tie the blindfold around my eyes. "You'll never give up on those names, will you?"
"Never," Alex declares, walking me into his house.
"YouTube, where are we going, at least tell me that," I command.
"You'll see," he sounds excited.
We finally stop walking.
"Can I--"
"Just a second," he assures.
Feels like he's putting something on my head.
"Now can I--"
"Take it off," Alex says at the same.
I take off the blind fold. "Wow, Fate really loves Salex," I giggle, putting the blindfold aside.
"Yup, so does Maya," I hear him murmur.
"I knew Maya had something to do with this!" I burst.
"Anyways," Alex giggles, facing the front.
I face the front to see a...CAMERA. And I feel the scalp of my head..headphones, Beats.
"Wait, Alex..you invited me to do a YouTube cover?" I ask him in excitement.
"Surprise!" Alex embraces me into a hug. I hug him back and we release.
"But--" He cuts me off.
"It's an early birthday surprise," Alex says.
I look into his brown eyes with a smile.
He leans and kisses me.
I seriously need to talk to Maya after this.. She really needs to keep her Salex Hart under control...
