Charity's P.O.V.~
I gaped for a moment then glared at my father.
"Go away," I said icily, even a bit shocked at myself about how cold my tone was. "We don't need to see you here. Or anywhere at all."
My fa- no, this stranger just laughs at me and ruffles my hair.
"Oh, Charity," he mused. "Don't be like that.. I know you missed me."
I could feel my anger boiling.
"MISSED YOU?!" I yelled, my voice echoing a bit around the room. "Why would I miss someone who ditched my mother and me for some other woman?"
I slapped his hand and he flinched a bit.
"Stay away from me," I could feel tears rushing into my eyes as I look away from him. "Stay away from all of us."
I dashed into my room and slammed my door shut. Quickly locking it, I threw myself into my bed and let my tears run free down my cheeks. I absolutely hated that demon so much. He brought too much pain to my family.
In midst of crying, I could feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I miserably take it out to answer.
"Hello?" I asked, clearing my throat a bit and wiped some of my tears off my face.
"Charity?!" Hunter's worried voice replied. "Are you alright? You sound like you've been crying."
"Y-Yeah.. I'm fine.." My voice wavered over the phone, making my lie seem obvious, even to me.
"You're lying." Hunter accused me. "No worries, I'll come find you."
"No--" I began to protest but I was interrupted by Hunter.
"Thanks for inviting us over to your place! We will be there in about ten minutes." Hunter exclaimed.
"Us?!" I said, a bit too loudly. I quickly lowered my tone. "What do you mean, 'us'?"
"Our gang," He said, with a duh tone in his voice. "Well, I'll see you then!"
Before I could say another word to him, he hung up, leaving me shaking my head.
