"Fighting. Yep.
They fought.
Destroying any possibility of them working together."
I stared at him. "Why are you telling me this?"
He smiled sadly. "I know you Percy. And I know you wish it hadn't had happened the way it did."
He sighed. "What happened between me and my father changed everything. No matter if I tell it as a story or as my memory that won't change."
"What I did...it hurt the people I loved. It hurt my friends. And people died. If you want to blame anyone Perce, blame me. Not yourself."
This time I sighed. "I can't do that. Too loyal."
"I know. But still...I don't know why Percy. I'm sticking around a bit. Not going anywhere yet. And I don't know why your father had us talk."
"Oh good. Not the only one confused then."
"When aren't you confused?" He laughed.
"But Percy. Other people can make the same mistake as me. Just for different reasons. And I'm sure that's going on right now."
He held out his hand and an image of Steve and Tony fighting appeared.
Steve hit Tony with his shield then Bucky caught it as it ricocheted and did the same.
World's most dangerous game of ping-pong frisbee.
Probably the world's only game of ping-pong frisbee.
Shaking his head the image disappeared.
"That happened yesterday after your dad made you fall asleep."
"Wait. How long have I been asleep?"
"Two days. And some change. Your dad mentioned something about sleeping until something or other happened. I can't remember the details."
"Are you Tony Stank?" Another image appeared. This one was an older gentleman holding a FedEx package.
" Yes, this is Tony Stank. You're in the right place." I could hear Rhodes reply.
"Oops. Sorry bout that. I need my laughs somehow" Waving his hand the image disappeared.
I shook my head. Still the same troublemaker.
Walking over I hugged him. He hesitated before returning the hug.
"Thanks Luke."
Wanda
The guard outside my cell left.
Huh. That's odd.
Normally there's always a guard, with the control to my shock collar, outside.
I could hear grunting through the cell wall.
What the hell is going- Oh.
Steve was infront of the door. He held up a remote and clicked it.
Thankfully it wasn't for my shock collar.
It was for the cell door. After a painstakingly wait Steve rushed in and released the straps binding me.
And took the horrendous shock collar off.
"You okay?" He asked offering me a hand.
I took it and he pulled me up.
"I've been better." Percy.
Where's Percy being kept?
"Let's go get the guys." Steve said.
I grabbed his arm. "What about Percy?"
He smiled. "She's on the beginning of that level. Come on."
The two of us rushed to elevator, knocking out any guards we came across.
We headed down four levels. Of course they have to be on this level. It would be the hardest to escape from.
Well. Unless you could breathe water.
"Here." Steve tossed me a remote he took from the guard he just knocked out. "It should open all the cells on this level. Just enter the cell number."
Nodding I ran down to the only cell without a lady staring at us.
Looking inside I could see Percy laying on the bed, tucked in.
I almost cooed at the sight. She looks so peaceful right now. So much different than when- wait. Who in this place would tuck her in?
Shaking my head I rapped on the glass. She didn't give any indication of hearing it.
What number is she? 5-38.
Okay. I typed in the number and pressed confirm.
And you can bet the moment I could I was in that cell.
"Percy." I shook her. She's breathing. "Wake up."
And surprisingly she did.
"Sup Wanda? Always a bit of time for a fun jailbreak huh?"
I rolled my eyes. Of course that's the first thing out of her mouth.
"Come on." I pulled her out of bed and out into the hallway.
"Hey Steve?" I asked.
"What?" He replied as he freed Clint.
"Where are we?"
"Somewhere in the-"
"Thirty degrees four minutes north, forty-one degrees two minutes west." Percy said.
I stared at her.
"I know my sea coordinates." She shrugged.
Why am I no longer surprised?
"Good to see you guys. Wait. Percy? Why are you in here?" Clint asked.
"I may or may not have helped. Friends and family above myself."
"I'm glad you helped us out." He ruffled her hair.
Percy seemed shocked at the fatherly affection. Well her father left before she was born.
So that makes sense.
"How about we go before...you know... reinforcements?" She suggested.
I looked and saw Sam walking out of the cell he was in. Scott was already free.
"Why do I feel like my daughter will find this extremely stupid or extremely awesome?" Scott said.
Percy and I smiled. "It's a natural occurrence. And it's probably the former. Cause girls are the superior intellect."
Percy snapped her fingers.
"Need some ice for that burn?" I asked.
Sighing Percy shook her head. "Andrew would have laughed and poked me. He would have said, 'who's the superior intellect Seaweed Brain?'"
I wrapped an arm around her. "Let's go."
She nodded.
Steve led us back to the elevator. Percy grabbed ahold of my arm. Not just like a comforting one.
No. Like a death grip.
Everyone packed into the elevator and waited impatiently as it rose to the top deck.
"Why is it raised?" Sam asked.
A smile pulled at Steve's lips.
"Oh I had some help."
And that we could see as a black jet lowered.
"That's-" Clint began.
"Yeah. Let's not jeopardize our helper." Steve interrupted.
Percy looked up. "I can't fly again. I've pressed my luck enough."
The jet dropped a ladder and the guys started up.
"Come on Percy." I pulled her over and started climbing the ladder.
Once inside I looked down to see Percy slowly climbing.
"We have to start moving." The Wakandan said and slowly started to fly the jet.
"Hurry up Percy!" I yelled.
Thunder rumbled and the sea started churning angrily.
A freak wave rose up and almost hit us but Percy screamed, "No!" And it subsided.
Looking up at me she shouted three words. "See you later!"
And then she let go.
I screamed. "Percy!"
I watched helpless, as Percy tumbled down into the embrace of the cold, choppy, unforgiving sea.
"Percy." I whispered tears falling as the hatch closed and Steve pulled me into a hug.
Yeah later than usual. But hey. Got it done.
And that is it for the movie bit.
