Vision touched down next to me.
He gently moved Percy and pulled me up, so I was laying partially on him.
"I'm sorry." He said.
"Me, too."
"It's as I said." He said, green eyes meeting my brown ones. "Catastrophe."
Vision suddenly turned and fired a laser into the air.
Then he looked back down at me.
"I'm sorry. But we must take you in."
I looked down at Percy. Her breathing was ragged. Why did she pass out?
And why did the strain on my powers lessen as soon as she noticed?
Does she- no. We would have noticed.
I just hope she's okay.
Percy
When I woke up, I was wearing the clothes I had on underneath my armor.
Which was so conveniently missing.
But.
It's enchanted!
Que the sassy hip sashay.
So my necklace was still in place. And it seemed as though they didn't care about my bracelet or Riptide.
But what am I going to do with it? Kill somebody with a pen?
Of course...I kinda have killed stuff with it.
You know what? Next time I tell somebody what I've done I'll just say I did it with this and hold up a pen.
I would love to see that reaction.
Oh and yeah. I was kinda in a prison cell.
That might be a tad bit important.
So I woke up on the cot.
And the other contents of my cell had a toilet that was hidden by a partition.
Across the hallway was another cell, with some lady I've never seen in my life.
And on one side of the cell, the wall opposite of the glass one.
Although I suspect it wasn't actually glass.
Maybe some sort of polyethylene blast resistant material?
Or maybe it's some sort of laser field or-
ADHD get out of here! You need a vacation!
But anyway. Beyond that wall...
I could sense...
The ocean. Water. My element. My father's domain.
I sat up and stood, my legs weak. How long was I out?
With a little bit of stumbling I made my way to the wall.
Placing my hands an arm span apart, I leaned my head against the barrier dividing me and my home.
Because what my dad said is true. Whatever belongs to the sea, will always return to the sea.
Percy?! Dad's voice rang out in my head, both panicked and relieved.
I chuckled slightly. His reaction.
It's me Dad. I'm...safe.
You don't sound too sure of that. The panic in his voice was now replaced with worry.
Well. I'm guessing that I'm currently in a prison. And it's underwater.
When I didn't get a response I started to worry.
No not about my dad. Okay scratch that. I'm pretty much always worried for my family.
But I'm more worried that he'll blow the place up. Or send somebody after me.
I know where you are.
Uh oh.
I know what's going to happen.
A light gathered in the cell and I closed my eyes.
When I knew I wasn't about to die or go blind I opened my eyes and turned.
Standing there in all his immortal glory was my father.
Dressed in his usual attire, things seemed normal.
Besides him being...you know...a god.
But one look at his face and I wanted to turn into a chameleon.
He walked over to me. "Perseus."
I swallowed. Full name alert.
Taking my hands he carefully looked me over.
Sighing he kissed my forehead.
"You're okay."
No duh. I could have told him that.
I looked up at him. His face no longer held, whatever it was. I honestly don't know if it had been anger or-
No. It was anger.
I just don't know what/who it was aimed at though.
But now his face held the same expression that used to naturally sit on mine all the time.
That look that said, "hey you can trust me. But I'll probably cause some mischief along the way."
Then again that's kinda his passive expression.
So if I got my mask wearing skills from him...
Yeesh.
There are so many emotions he could be feeling right now.
"I'm taking you with me." He said, his tone making it final.
Or. Should I say.
"No."
He stared at me, disbelief in his eyes.
"Perseus..."
"Wanda's here Dad. I'm not leaving her."
"She can handle herself-"
"I'm not doing it for her." I cut him off.
"Then why?" He asked.
I closed my eyes, tears threatening to overcome my barricades.
"I can't lose anyone else. If I lose one more person, I won't be the same person. I wouldn't be the girl you call your baby. I wouldn't be a hero. I wouldn't even be alive." At the end the tears had overcome me.
I felt Dad wrap his arms around me, I buried my face in his shirt.
"You will always be my baby. No matter what." He lifted me up, so my head was resting on his shoulder.
Dad sat me on the cot, placing a kiss on my brow.
"Three days. Then I'll come get you." He said, and he gave me no room to argue.
Nodding I laid down, I doubt I'll sleep.
But of course my father had to know this.
"In ten minutes you'll fall asleep. Whether you want to or not." He said placing a hand on my forehead, along with giving me a warm smile.
I smiled slightly.
This reminds me of-
Dad started to turn into vapor.
"Dad." I looked at him.
He stopped himself right before he disappeared. "What?"
"Did you- when I was a baby-" I struggled to find the right words. In the end I decided to be blunt. "Did you visit me when I was a baby?"
Dad seemed surprised. "You knew?"
I smiled. "I wouldn't forget that." Then as an afterthought, "Unless my crazy aunt kidnaps me and wipes my memories."
Shaking his head, Dad gave me one last fatherly kiss before disappearing.
And three minutes later, as I started to drift off, I saw Tony walk by the cell.
Looking rather pissed.
Well.
Somebody had a bad day.
Sucky title I know.
But sup guys?
