Chapter 31: Sausage
In case anyone is confused, (which I am sure most of you guys are) Emma's flashback is over. This is after Josh and Leo come back from their trip and it's written in Emma's POV of course.

I woke up to the smell of waffles. That's the best smell you can wake up to. I stirred in my sleep squinting my eyes under the sunlight. I see Leo holding a plate for me,"Good morning princess. I made breakfast in bed for you", he said smiling at me.
I was quite surprised by this gesture, it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling in my chest, I got up and he placed the the plate in front of me. It was waffles with strawberries and maple syrup drizzled on it, "This looks absolutely delectable", I said picking up the fork and knife. It tastes delicious too, I have to admit without Leo I would have still been living off TV dinners and takeaways. Last night he cooked chicken steak with mushroom sauce, it was good that I ended up finishing Leo's share too as he wasn't that hungry.
It was a lazy Sunday morning so after I was done having my breakfast I ended up taking another nap, only this time I was woken up by cold water being dumped over my body. I get up to see Leo mischievously smiling at me, only instead of a warm plate of breakfast he was holding an empty bucket this time.
"What the fuck Leo?" I screamed. I was having such a good sleep and he fucking had to ruin it.
"You are so hot I needed to do something to cool you down", he said smirking at me.
"YOU ASSHOLE", I threw my drenched pillow at him but he dodged it,"Why did you have to do that?"
"You were the one who switched the T-shirt last friday, didn't you? I asked Josh and Derek about It, they swore on their Pokemon cards that they didn't do it. So the only person I can think of is you". On Thursday George left his red t-shirt at my place after the sleepover with the words "I am Bootylicious" written over it (I don't even want to know where he got that from). So I decided to mess with Leo by replacing his Carlo's work T-shirt with George's T-shirt since they looked almost the same except Leo's T-shirt had Carlo's Pizzeria written in the back with the same font. I thought he won't fall for it but he was still drowsy when he woke up from his sleep so he just changed into that T-shirt and went to work without even realizing ,"In fact Josh and Derek didn't even tell me anything about it until Carlo came to work and scolded me for wearing the T-shirt", he said scowling. I laughed out loud but regretting it immediately.
"I will get back to you for this!" He dashed out of my room leaving me drenched.
I got out of the shower and blow dried my hair, I received texts from both George and Hailey. They both want to meet up with me, I suggested we could all meet up together but then they both wanted to meet me alone as they had something important to tell me. But I was planning to study today since I have so many quizzes next week, I wanted to be done with it as early as possible in that way I wouldn't have to pull an all-nighter. Hopefully I will be home by early afternoon.
I first met up with George who wanted to meet me at the mall to grab some bubble tea, we hung out at some of the stores while we sipped pearl milk tea,"What did you wanted to discuss that you possibly couldn't discuss in front of Hailey?" I said trying on these black stilettos. I am usually not a big fan of stilettos but this one was caught my eye.
"Uhh I am not into Sebastian anymore. I am with him just to waste my time. I don't know Em. I am so confused. I feel like a awful person", he said in one breath."And the reason I didn't want to discuss this in front of Hailey is because she might judge me and then she also has a history with Sebastian".
"Are you sure? You know it might be a phase you are going through. Because few days ago you were telling me how you love Sebastian but today you just don't anymore?" I asked trying not to act surprised.
We spent a bit more time at the mall and then we decided to call it a day since I had a lunch date with Hailey. I told him to think about it, because I know my best friend really well. The thing is he gets bored easily sometimes he would even get bored of us but then we would totally get that and he would spend less time with us. We are quite used to that actually, "Aren't you going to buy that?" He asked after seeing me eyeing the black stilettos that I tried on.
"They are gorgeous but I don't think I can afford them, they are quite expensive. Besides I rarely wear stilettos".

"I think... I think.... I can't believe I am saying this.... But I think I have feelings for George", Hailey confessed after finally prodding her for hours. I suggested we should go to Carlo' s Pizzeria for our lunch date since Derek will be there and most of the time he ends up treating us. But Hailey wasn't interested so we are at Subway now. We were enjoying our sub when suddenly Hailey started asking me questions about Derek and what do I think of him. I told her my honest opinion that Derek seems like a great guy. But she was still reluctant. And then the conversation lead to this.
I was shocked, did I just hear that right? I was so astonished that I forgot that I just took a bite of my meatball sub and now I was choking. She immediately fetched me some water and I managed to take a sip of it which helped me with my situation. I placed the bottle on the table loudly,"What?" I asked.
"Uh huh. I just couldn't help myself. It just happened. Too bad he is gay", she said pouting. I can't even take this girl seriously.
"So when did you realize your underlying love for him? When you guys get manicures together or when you both rate guys out of ten in the cafeteria?"
"Em you can't put it like that!" She said blushing. Oh my god my friends are turning crazy.
They both made sure I didn't reach home until six for I needed some time to recover from the bombs they dropped on me.
I ringed the bell , I didn't bother taking my set of keys as Leo told me he would be home all day. After ringing the bell several times I called him but he didn't pick up. Pissed I banged on the door loudly, "LEO OPEN THE DOOR. I KNOW YOU ARE INSIDE".
"Oh hi princess", he said waving at me from the upstairs window.
"COME DOWNSTAIRS AND OPEN THE DOOR YOU JERK".
"I don't feel like it. I am too lazy", he said smiling at me.
"YOU ASSHOLE!" I stomped to the back door to look for the potted fern plant, underneath it my mom placed a spare key to the house in case of emergency. We never used it. Getting the key meant digging out the plant and I didn't want to do that.
"Oh don't bother looking for your key under the fern plant it's not there", he said disappearing inside. How the hell does he know about the hidden key? Only my mom and I know about this.
Great I am homeless now. I decided to get out of here, as it's no use of waiting outside for that shithead to open the door. He wouldn't.
I walked quite a few blocks away from the house, clueless about where I will go just in time my cell phone rang. It was Josh.
"Wanna come over? We can watch a movie together", I was relieved to get his call.
"Sure. I am glad you called in fact Leo just kicked me out of my own house".
He laughed,"I know that. In fact Leo told me to invite you over after he felt guilty about kicking you out".
"What? He did?"
"Uh oh. I wasn't supposed to tell you that. But he did. Don't tell him though".
"That's...", I didn't know what to say.
"So are you coming over or not? We can watch 'Rebel without a cause'".
"I am coming over! And I really need to use your bathroom".
"Haha okay. I am ordering Indian food, I hope you are okay with it".
"James Dean is so hot", I commented taking a bite of my chicken samosa which was delicious.
"I also got chicken tikka masala and naan. We can have it after the movie".
"I love you", I said looking at him grateful for always feeding me.
He looked at me wide eyed, After a brief pause he said,"I know", he was smirking almost as if it took him time to recover from what I said.
"It's your birthday tomorrow right?" He asked me.
"Uh huh. How do you know?" I asked him, rather curiously. I am not the type to broadcast my birthday. In fact I almost forgot about it until now.
"Oh I saw it on Facebook".
"At least someone remembers. I don't think anyone does. Or else Hailey or George would be bugging me to throw a party and parties aren't my thing", I feel like I would be a bad host besides who will attend my birthday anyways. It's not like I have a lot of friends. I just wished my mom was here though.
"I didn't even know until today when I saw it on Facebook to be honest".

"You have a middle name?" I asked Josh.
"Nope. Its just Josh Spencer",he replied. We were done watching the movie. Now we were stuffing our faces with Chicken Tikka masala and naan.
"Do you?"
"It's Rose. Don't ask me. I kind of don't like it".
"No I think it's cute".
"Right..", I drawled sardonically. "Next question.. "Do you like someone? Or are you seeing someone?" I was quite interested to know that. The only thing I know is that he once went on a date with this girl named Becky.
"I am not seeing anyone. But I do like someone".
"Who?" I asked a little too eagerly.
"It's you. Let me be your Jack, Rose".
I threw a pillow at him, he laughed dodging it immediately,"I am serious here", I said.
"Okay I don't like anyone. But do you?" He said quirking an eyebrow at me with knowing smile on his face.
"I don't like anyone", I tried to say that with a straight face, but I was blushing. Dammit.
"Are you sure? Not even the guy whose surname has 'arse' in it?"
I busted out in laughter.
"Of course you do". Ugghhh why is he so exasperating?
"What if I do? It's not like I have a chance with him. He obviously doesn't like me", I reasoned.
"Are you blind Emma? Of course he does. Do you not see the look of murder on his face when he caught us in an awkward position? Or the fact that he sent you a 25 inch pepperoni pizza with extra cheese", he cried out. "Carlo had to ruin it with by writing the message with ketchup on it though", he added as an after thought.
"But the pizza thing was an apology gift".
"Or the time you thrashed his bike aka his baby and he didn't say anything. It's not like he didn't deserve it. Or all those times he stood up for you when Jules used to bully you".
"But....", I didn't even have anything to say. It did make sense a little.... maybe he does and all this time I have been clueless about it.

Josh dropped me at my place as it was really late. I didn't realize it was almost eleven until his parents came back from the party they had to attend tonight. I walked to the house hoping Leo is awake. I was about to ring the bell when I saw a dark figure standing beside me. I screamed.
"Chill princess. It's me", Leo said holding me.
"What the fuck Arsen? You scared me. What the hell are you doing outside at this hour?"
"I was uhh... I had to go to work. It was an emergency", but he wasn't in his work clothes. He was dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans. The t-shirt clinge to his body like a second skin so you can see the outlines of his muscular body and I couldn't stop staring at it.
"Right", suddenly my throat was dry. Why does he have to be so hot? All of a sudden I found myself pulled up against him, I didn't even realize when he did that.
I was about to word a protest but he stopped me,"Ssshhh princess. I need to tell you something that I have been dying to say for a long time and no one can stop me now", he whispered in my ears sending shivers down my spine. My heart was frantically beating against my chest. I was thinking of what Josh said to me. Does he really have feelings for me?
"You are.... Fuck how do I say..... I think....", he was stuttering. "That's it I am going to say this to you today".
Is he going to confess his feelings for me? I am not ready for this.
"I think.... I think you.... You are wearing your T-shirt inside out princess", he said smirking at me. I looked down to see he is right. That asshole.
"You are infuriating!" We broke apart, I turned the knob to the main door to go inside, turns out it was open. I open the door to see what I didn't expect to see.

Okay I know you guys hate me for updating late. I am really busy and this year has been horrible for me as I have been sick most of the time. Then there is school and not to mention my writer's block which hits me often. I am trying my best to finish this book as soon as possible then go back and edit it as it contains a lot of mistakes.
