Alex's POV
I drive towards Hollywood I haven't been here in ages I park my car near the Hollywood sign and I look at the city skyline I go to my trunk and I see 2 bags full of beer I take one and I snap it open and I start to drink it I throw it out, I thought I was over this but I guess under stress I tend to relapse. I take another and another then I started to see blurry that's when I knew I was drunk I sit in my car and I can hardly sit straight I grab my phone and I pressed the call button I didn't know who I was calling but all I could say was
"I-I need someone I can trust can you m-meet me I'm near the H-hollywood sign and I-Im drunk" I said
and I could hear someone talking on the other line but I took another sip out of my bottle and I hung up I was half sober half drunk but as I stared at the beautiful lit sky I began to cry because I was afraid of loosing Demi but at the sametime I was pissed off after everything I dealt with today. Then I felt someone put there arm around me my vision was blurred so I couldn't tell who it was but he or she knew my name.
"Alex are you drunk.?" I heard them say
"What do you think I'm sure as hell not sober" I said
"I thought you were over this what would Demi think if she saw you like this.?!?"
"Why would I care she's been lying to me this whole time she didn't even tell me she had a son with Wilmer."
"She what.?! Alex why didn't you come talk to me after everything that happened.?!"
"Cause I thought I can deal with this on my own I love her so much but I don't know what to do anymore she's my everything and I don't want to lose her! I'll even die for her that's how much I-"
before I can finish my sentence I fainted and I felt them catch me and I heard my car start then everything went pitch black dark I had no idea who was with me or where I was going
Demi's POV
"Dammit we lost her!" Wilmer said
"How can you lose her we were right behind her!" I said
"Her car is dark and it's night and she was way ahead of us god knows where she is right now." he said
I bite my lip as I try to hold back my tears and i feel Wilmer wrap his arm around me and I hug him back and I'm sobbing in his shoulder
"C'mon lets get something to eat and we'll keep looking okay.?"
I shake my head and he pulls up near a diner he opens the door for me he put's his jacket around me and we walk inside the diner the waiter sits us down in a booth near the window he gives us our menus and he leaves for a bit. I kept looking at the window forgeting where I was for a split second and I thought about Alex I just wanted her back in my arms again and her to tell me she loves me. I feel someones hand on my shoulder and it's Wilmer's and he says
"Demi I ordered you some chicken soup for you is that alright."
"Yeah that's fine" I said with a soft shakey tone
"Demi..." Wilmer said as he puts his hand over mine
"Yeah Wilmer.?" I said
"It's going to be alright okay look I'm always here if you need me okay." he said
I hug him tight and whisper in his ear
"Thank you so much I don't know what I would've done without you." I said
"What are friends for Demi." He said
I kissed his cheek and sat back down as our food arrived we ate and just talked for a few minutes on where to go next to find Alex as we were talking Wilmer looks distracted and he keeps staring at the window near the parking lot and I ask him
"Wilmer what's wrong.?"
"Alex's car...." he said
"What about it.?" I asked
"It just pulled into the parking lot.." He said
I turn around and it is Alex's car Wilmer get's up and leaves some money on the table and we run out towards the door but once we reached the front entrance of the diner the car backed up and sped off
"Hurry get in we need to follow her before we lose her again.!" Wilmer said
I get in the car and we followed her car across town and the car sped up as we got closer
"I didn't know Alex could drive this fast!" I said
"I don't think it's Alex driving the car." Wilmer said
I look at him confused and I prepared for the worst
Alex's POV
I wake up but I was too weak to move each time I tried to get up I felt the urge to throw up I kept laying down but my car kept moving fast and making sharp turns I fell out of the backseat onto my car floor
"Ah!" I groaned in pain
"I'm sorry Alex don't worry we're almost at your house I just parked here near the diner to see if you were conscious." they said
"Wait w-ho are you w-who did I-I call.?"
before I could get a response I started to see blurry again and my speech was slurred and I knew I was going to pass out again and I heard whoever was driving say
"Shit! what are they doing here.?!" they said
I felt my car backup violently and accelerate and another sharp turn made me bang my head on the seat and I winced in pain
"Hang on Alex I'm sorry but I have to get away from them to protec-"
before they could finish talking I blacked out again but I could still feel my car speeding and turning I had no idea what was going on but I had the feeling we were trying to run from someone
Demi's POV
We kept chasing the car all over the neighborhood and once the car made a sharp turn and sped off into the darkness we lost it
"Fuck! not again!" Wilmer shouted
"Alex wouldn't run like this but Wilmer she's alone it had to be her how do you know for sure it wasn't her driving.?" I ask on the verge of tears
"Demi it has to be a second driver knowing Alex she would have gotten out of the car and talked to us she wouldn't just speed off like this."
"Wilmer I don't know I just want her back...I miss her..I love her." I said
"Look I'll drop you off at home you've had a rough day and I'll keep looking for her and I'll call you if anything happens okay.?"
"Okay.." I said in a soft tone
We drive down the block heading towards my house and as we're driving we see Alex's car in her driveway
"Wilmer that's her car!" I said
he sped up faster and stopped in front of Alex's house he runs towards her car and the driver side door is open and so is the passenger side door
"There was a second driver Alex wasn't the one driving she was in the backseat."
"How can you tell that by two doors being open she could've just gotten out and get something from the back seat.?" I said
"She didn't get out the car....she was dragged out you can see the skid marks of her shoes being scraped across the concrete."
"Oh god..." I said
I see Wilmer look inside her car and we hear something coming from inside Alex's house it was a loud thud
"Demi stay back." Wilmer said
I had tears in my eyes as I stood there in the driveway waiting for Wilmer to tell me if she's okay Wilmer tries to open the door but it was locked but we heard the backdoor slam and Wilmer runs towards the back
"Hold up! Freeze!" I heard him shout but whoever ran out of the house was long gone
I run inside and I find Alex on her bed with the covers over her I can see the dried tears in her eyes she was asleep I see a bruise on her arm I move the hair out of her face and say
"Baby I'm sorry that we didn't tell you sooner but I want you to know that I'll always love you and I know you feel the same way and I know you're hurting but no matter what our love is strong." I said while sobbing
I hear footsteps running up the stairs and it's Wilmer and he's holding a gym bag and he opens the bag and there's nothing but alcohol in the bag I sob harder and I hold onto Alex's hand and say
"Why....why did you resort to this are you hurting that bad baby just promise me no matter what that you'll always love me and know you could hear me but when you wake up remember that will you always love me baby." I said
As I get up from the floor I kiss her forehead and Wilmer puts his arm around me and he takes the gym bag and I look at her one more time and as I'm walking out of her room I hear her say
"I l-love you too baby I-I'm sorry" she said
"I love you so much Alex...." I said she was still asleep but I knew she used all her strength to say that
Wilmer walks me downstairs and he closes the door
"I wasn't able to catch who it was escaping back there but whoever it was they made sure Alex was taken care of." he said
"Yeah but I hope everything goes back to the way it use to be." I said
"It will Demi trust me look tomorrow is a brand new day and it'll all go back to the way it was now go home and get some rest you've had a long day."
I agree with him and he walks me home he hugs me goodbye and drives off into his squad car I open the door and get inside I change my clothes and go to bed hoping that tomorrow goes back to the way it use to be.
