"Where are we going?" I asked childishly as I folded some clothes into a suitcase. I grunted as some of the clothes fell out of the suitcase because I seemingly had gotten all my clothes and stuffed them into two suitcases which were half my size. I heard Archer chuckle behind me as he laid on the bed since he couldn't really see, I had to pack for him and it was pure torture.
"It's a surprise babe," he beamed, my face heating up from the nickname, this was new.
"I hate surprises," I whined as I finally managed to zip of the damn suitcase and huffed in relief.
"I promise you'll like this place, I made sure you'd like it," he said amusingly.
"Just because you run a company and all, you think you know people," I grumbled out of my breath.
"How'd you know about my company?" he asked curiously, rising up from his seat and looked at me.
"Your sister and friends," I deadpanned as I grabbed two bags, one for Archer and the other one for me to pack simple essentials for the trip.
"Oh, well, it doesn't matter, it's a small business," he dismissed as he came over and kissed me lightly on the forehead making me smile.
"Alright, I trust you," I said as I packed some of the food we'd bring on the flight, it probably the in-flight food tasted terrible that Archer recommended to pack them.
"Good," he sighed as he returned back to his position on the bed. Lazy Alpha.
"Why on earth do we have so much bags?" I groaned out, carrying one heavy duffle bag and two suitcases towards the car. My bag was straining and my arms hurt from dragging all these bags down the staircase and through the door, even training couldn't prepare me for this.
"Stop being a weak wolf Irene," Jacob teased out as he two carried bags, two duffle bags and a suitcase. I groaned in reply.
"Shut up Jacob," Archer growled possessively and walked over to me and helped me carry the duffle-bag along with the other suitcase he brought with him.
"That took a load off!" I sighed in relief as we made it the car, Archer stayed close to me as I opened the back of the vehicle and bent down to grab one of the suitcases.
"I'll do that, go wait in the car," Archer ordered demandingly and carried the suitcase into the back. I gasped my mouth opened and hit in playfully.
"I can do that just fine," I whined out, stomping my foot angrily, but a cheeky smile on my face.
"No mate of mine will carry or hold anything unless it's my hand and her handbag," he scoffed and took the other suitcase and placed it on the other one. Jacob came as well and did the same, loading the trunk with our heavy suitcases. I growled out, feeling quite useless not being able to help.
"Go sit down Irene, the drive to your old pack will take a bit, by the way, your family arrived safely yesterday," Archer told me before walking to one of the guards and his beta, probably giving them instructions.
I pouted, but glad that my family made it safely yesterday. After the dinner with the family, Archer had grown considerably close with my family, the past three days have been a breeze as we looked after my siblings while my parents went out for their night dates. All my siblings adored Archer, Eva being the closest to him after everyone else, besides me of course.
"Do as he says Irene, he might turn into hulk again," Jacob insists jokingly, making me stick my tongue out and huff.
"I'm not a child," I groaned before obliging, going to the front of the car, opening the passenger's door and sat right in with my legs crossed over each other. I bent down and grabbed a packet of salty chips from my bag and opened it up, chewing on some chips while I waited excitedly to go to my old pack. Through the car mirror, I could see Archer talking to both his beta, gamma and brother, his face looked very tense as they talked to each other, My mind was thinking of conversations they might be talking about, they could be talking about pack security or things to do for the pack. I mean Archer just came back, and now he's leaving for another month, his pack is probably devastated that their true Alpha will be gone again, but at least they are stronger now than ever.
I watched them closely, trying to understand their facial features which were both handsome yet pulled into a straight face. When I noticed Archer coming to the car, I went back seating and ate my chips, trying to look as if I didn't watch them talking.
"Why are you sitting there? You should be at the back with me, we'll have a driver getting us to the pack," He tells me, I groan out, I was so damn comfortable here.
"Why aren't you driving?" I muttered, sliding out of the passenger door and into the one behind it where I placed my bag between my legs.
"I only drove once, but doesn't mean I'll do it again," he says and sits next to me, placing an arm around my shoulders and pulling me closer to him, I instinctively lean closer to him.
"Oh, okay," I replied as I chewed on my chips, savouring the salty taste.
"My driver, Heith will be driving us to the pack and to the airport, your old Alpha has allowed him to stay in the pack as well," he informs me as I noticed a man wearing plain clothes slide into the driver's seat with a small smile gracing upon his lips.
"Ready to go Alpha and Luna?" he says politely, we both nod in return and the car started, the engine purring out as he started to pull out of the driveway and drive down the road from the mansion to the gates.
"Goddess, I'm bored!" I whine out childishly, as Archer held me close to his body.
We had only been driving for an hour, I wasn't sure how long it would take to reach my pack, but apparently, we had to stop at a human town for a break and I was starving for real food.
"We'll be at the town in forty-five minutes, then it is another two hours drive to your old pack, be patient Irene," Archer chuckled, pressing a swift kiss to my cheek and snuggled his body to mine.
"I'm starving," I moaned as I rubbed my stomach tenderly, hearing it growl.
"I know you are, that's why I brought pre-made spaghetti," Archer says, bending down to reach his bag and pulling out two containers filled with warm spaghetti. I squealed in delight as he handed me one and a fork, I smiled brightly, kissing his cheek quickly, opened the lid and inhaled the scent of deliciously made spaghetti.
"Yummy!" I cheer and dug into the food, Archer did the same next to me.
"Humans are very rude," Archer grumbled out as a stranger pushed him without saying sorry. I chuckled and squeezed his hand, looking at all the different shops that were close by.
"You are rude too," I pointed out, spotting a flower stand nearby where an old lady was sitting on it.
"At least I'd say excuse me," he muttered lowly, kissing my forehead and looked where I was looking it and dragged me to the place.
"Oh hello darling, how y'all doing today?" the old lady smiled brightly at us, her happiness was refreshing.
"Doing well, and you?" Archer replied politely as I looked at all the flowers.
"I'm doing very good young man, now, can I interest you in any flowers?" she asked, looking towards me as I looked at a bouquet of beautiful white and cream flowers. It had leaves and small branches which complimented the flowers, plus it smelled sweet of roses and lilies. It was quite a simple bouquet, but so beautiful at the same time.
"Beautiful isn't it? Much like your wife, very beautiful," she complimented me and I blushed, my mouth opened up to correct her sentence, but Archer had beaten me.
"Yes, very beautiful. We'll have that bunch," he says, kissing my cheek lovingly, making me blush harder as he took the flowers from the bucket and handed to me.
"Archer no-" I protested, but he quickly clamped my mouth with his hand and beamed at the lady.
"How much for the flowers?" he asked, my heartwarming up at the sudden act of buying me gifts.
"That'll only be ten dollars, cheap because you are such a lovely pair," she responded and handed him a plastic bag in exchange for the money which Archer handed her.
"Thank you, have a nice day," he says and the lady waved us goodbye before he steered me off into another direction. I growled as his hand was still clamped over my hand until we made it a park where he finally released me.
"Why'd you buy the flowers?" I exclaimed out, staring at the white lilies and cream roses in delight, a blush forming on my cheeks once again.
"You loved them so much, I thought I'd buy them for you, my small gift to you," he said shyly, his hands on my waist as he brought me closer to him. His warmth radiating off him as his fingers sent shivers down my spine.
"Well thank you," I smiled appreciatively and then I wrapped my hands around his neck, the bouquet tickling him behind his neck as I brought him closer and kissed him passionately.
He groaned in my mouth as a smile formed on his lips as his grip tightened on me, I moved his lips against mine, taking control as I savoured the taste of spaghetti as his tongue clashed with mine beautifully. Warmth had spread through my body and I felt him come closer to me, sharing his body warmth as he nibbled my bottom lip. I moaned which gave him access further in my mouth, he explored it, savouring every moment as I could feel his lust growing. But, I pulled back in time before things got too heated, we were in a public place after all.
His lips were swollen and I bet mine was too, he gave me a bright grin and ducked down and whispered in my ear.
"If that's how I get thanked for something so small, imagine what would happen if I got you something bigger," he smirked and I blushed at his words.
