They were finally on their way to Seattle, and they couldn't be more excited. Now that they had convinced Avi's family to let him go with them, he had been very enthusiastic about what was to come.

"So Kirstie, tell me more about this person we're meeting in Seattle." Kevin said, as he was focusing on the road.

"Yeah! Is it a guy or a girl? I could actually care less about that but I'm so excited that I just want to know." Avi said, bouncing in his seat like a little kid.

Kirstie chuckled and rolled her eyes. "From what I could tell, we're meeting a tall guy with blonde hair. He was working at some kind of factory, but it was late at night."

"Do you have any idea on what his power might be?" Kevin asked, glancing at her for a second.

"I'm not entirely sure yet, but something tells me we'll know once we see him."

"Oh man, I'm so excited. I can't keep still!" Avi said, bouncing in his seat.

"We can see that. You look like a little kid." Kirstie told him with a laugh.

The drive continued with the guys asking questions, and Kirstie answering them the best way she could. It was starting to get dark after several miles, so they decided to stop at a quick motel. Once they were checked in, they went to their rooms and got settled. At 8:00, Avi's phone started ringing so he answered it.

"Hello?" He asked, and then he quickly took his phone away from his ear.

"AVI THERE YOU ARE!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME?!? I WAS WORRIED SICK!!! UNLESS THE CAR CRASHED YOU SHOULD'VE BEEN ABLE TO CALL ME YOUNG MAN!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!? YOU BETTER BE SOMEWHERE SAFE!!! IF THOSE TWO PEOPLE TOOK YOU SOMEWHERE DANGEROUS SO HELP ME I WILL-"

"MOM!!!! STOP!!!" Avi finally managed to yell. "Relax! I'm fine, I promise. We just stopped at a motel."

"FaceTime me."

"What?" His question was quickly answered as his phone started vibrating. He swiped accept on the call and saw his mother's worried face.

"Show me the room you're staying in!" She said sternly, and he awkwardly showed his phone around.

Kevin and Kirstie were chuckling as they got ready for bed, and Avi glared at them. Kevin cleared his throat before turning away from him, and Kirstie whistled innocently. He was finally finished showing off the room when his mom noticed something.

"Wait a second, are there only two beds?" She questioned, and Avi checked to see that there were indeed only two beds

"Uh... yeah, looks like there are." He told her, this whole thing was a bit uncomfortable for him.

"What are the sleeping arrangements?" She asked, and they all looked at each other.

"Um... we didn't really think about that. I think we were just gonna go to bed."

"Nonsense, go by the standard rules. Boys sleep in one bed while girls sleep in the other." She stated, and Kirstie smirked.

"Whelp, you heard the woman. Night boys." She said, then she quickly jumped on the bigger bed and started snoring obnoxiously.

Avi and Kevin glared at her. "Don't you think that since there's only one of you, you should get the smaller bed?" Kevin questioned, but she only 'snored' louder and they heard Avi's mom chuckle over the phone.

"Well I'll leave you guys to it. Be sure to check in with us the day after tomorrow. Everyone's gonna be busy tomorrow so we changed the time we were gonna talk." She explained.

"Okay, I'll set a reminder once you get off the phone."

"Alright, I love you!" She said, and Avi blushed.

Of course, Kirstie chose that exact moment to stop her 'snoring', and both of them were looking at him expectantly.

"I... I love you, too." He told her quietly, looking away from them.

"Talk to you later." His mom called.

"Yeah, bye." He said, and quickly hung up.

"Awe, looks like someone's a mama's boy." Kirstie lightly teased, and Avi rolled his eyes as he put in the reminder.

"Shouldn't you be swapping beds with us?" He complained, and she fell back on the bed and started snoring again.

"Just so you know, there's nothing wrong with loving your family." Kevin assured him.

Avi sighed and nodded, knowing Kevin was right. Kirstie had gotten in the big bed and made herself comfortable. She sighed in content and started drifting off to sleep. Avi glared at her for taking the bigger bed and silently walked over. Kevin looked at him confused, but Avi put a finger to his lips and shushed him.

He got closer and closer and actually thought about dragging her out the bed by the covers. He thought really hard about it, but finally decided not to. It was a good thing too because a few moments later, they heard Kirstie's voice ring out through the silent room.

"Touch me and you die."

Avi paused and stared at her, surprised. She hadn't moved or opened her eyes, and he knew she didn't see it happen in the future because it would've taken too long. He was also surprised by how violent the threat was. Kevin snickered and got in the smaller bed. Avi glared at the both of them and snatched one of Kirstie's pillows from under her.

"Oh come on, you can't be serious!" He groaned.

"Hey, I'm already comfortable and a girl needs her beauty sleep." She sighed happily.

He rolled his eyes and walked back to the bed, grumbling under his breath. Kirstie smirked when she heard a small thud and mumbled curses. Avi threw the pillow on the smaller bed and got under the covers. Kevin did the same on the other side of the bed, and they used the pillow as a divider between them. They all settled down and finally relaxed enough to fall asleep for the night.

The next morning, Kevin was the first one to wake up. He tried to stretch, but found he was practically immobile. Opening his eyes, he saw that he was a part of a large tangle of limbs, and was face to face with Avi. Shocked, he yelped and quickly untangled himself, falling off the bed in the process. Avi woke up from the sudden movement and loud thud on the floor. He rubbed his eyes and peeked over the edge, seeing Kevin just lying there.

"What happened?" He asked mid yawn, and Kevin just shook his head, not getting up.

Deciding to let him do his thing, Avi got up and went to the bathroom. After taking a quick shower, he came back out brushing his teeth with a towel draped around his waist. Kevin had gotten his stuff together and was going in the bathroom, and Kirstie was just waking up. She stretched and yawned, rubbing her eyes to wake up.

"Morning." She said with a satisfied smile, and Avi smirked.

"Hey look, even Sleeping Beauty has bad hair days." He joked, taking his toothbrush out for a moment.

"Oh hush, it's not that bad." She told him, glaring playfully. He pursed his lips and quickly looked away. "It's not that bad, right?"

Avi was suddenly very interested in brushing his teeth again and getting dressed. She quickly got up and ran in the bathroom once Kevin came out. There was a small gasp and she ran out, grabbed a brush, and dashed back inside. Kevin looked at Avi and chuckled.

"What'd I miss?" He questioned, and Avi gestured to his hair then gave a thumbs down, still brushing his teeth. "Ah, bad hair day."

He nodded and spit in the trash can. Both of them finally got dressed when Kirstie came out looking refreshed, and in a change of clothes. Kevin and Avi looked at her confused.

"When did you change clothes?" Avi asked.

"Yeah, and where did you get them? They weren't in the bathroom when I was in there." Kevin agreed, and Kirstie rolled her eyes with a chuckle.

"Well in the middle of the night, I had a dream that showed me I was going to be the last one in the bathroom. So I forced myself to wake up and hid some clothes in the cabinet under the sink. That way when I woke up in the morning, I wouldn't have to wait that long to get dressed." She explained with a smile. "I'm actually surprised you didn't use your powers to see that Avi."

"My powers don't work so early in the morning." He said, giving her a soft glare as he went in the bathroom to rinse out his mouth.

"Well why not?" She asked confused.

"Maybe his powers are tied to how he's feeling mentally. Like if he's really tired, then they won't work as well as they usually do." Kevin thought out loud.

"Yes actually." Avi called from the bathroom. "That's why they don't work so early in the morning, cause my brain's still trying to wake up."

"Makes sense." Kirstie commented with a shrug as Avi walked out again.

"Are you guys ready to go now?" Kevin asked them, and they nodded and grabbed their suitcases. "Alright, let's go!"

Kirstie and Kevin made their way to the car as Avi checked them out of the motel. They finally got situated, and after a few minutes, they were back on the road. They drove for a long time and made small talk along the way. It continued until they eventually saw a tall structure in the distance.

"Is that what I think it is?" Avi asked leaning over the seat amazed, and Kevin chuckled and nodded.

"Yep. Avi, Kirstie, welcome to Seattle."
