Katherine's POV:
She was perfect. Her voice so welcoming. She was like a dream.
I couldn't bow down. "Sepherus. We finally meet again. I see you have taken good care of her." So it was true. He did use to work with her.
"My queen. It is an honor to be in your presence once again." She started walking ever so gracefully towards Sepherus. She softly grabbed his chin. She looked directly to Sepherus eyes and said the next command. "Remember and be unlocked." I heard Sepherus scream and grab his head. "What are you doing to him!" I ran towards Sepherus grabbing him while he grabbed his head in pain. "He can now remember everything and say it."
"What do you mean?" I stood up, grabbing my sword. Maybe she wasn't as kind as I supposed. "Sit." She simply said. I was about to protest but my body went down and I found myself sitting on the floor. " I will explain everything." She said smiling.
Sepherus had already stopped screaming. He stood up. He seemed much more confident and powerful. "It's already Katherina. You can trust her. She's your mother." He said as he got behind her.
My mother? No, it can't be. I can't be the queen's daughter. "You're joking, right? I can't be your daughter. It's impossible." I said as I looked at the queen. "It's true." The queen sat in one of the benches. "I'll tell you the story so that you can understand."
And she started telling me the truth.
Queen Ester's POV:
"Everyone might know me as the queen, but before that, I was Princess Ester. I was born 1500 years ago in a time of peace. I grew up with my parents, the King and Queen. Pureblood of all purebloods.
I always like to hunt in the forest even though every full moon my mother would warn me to be careful. I had hit my 500th year birthday. And it was commonly compared to the human's 18th years birthday. I wanted to be free from certain limits my parent put upon me, so in a full moon I went out to hunt. Not caring. Nor do I regret it. I never will.
I was a trained warrior and I didn't need to worry about anything, especially when my powers were awakening. I went down hill in a small forest area I wanted to explore. Close to one of the hundreds of wolves packs that at that time existed. But at that time I didn't know.
I went forward with my plan but after killing a small deer, I encounter a pack of black werewolves. Bigger than myself. But I didn't feel fear. But one of the wolves, seem shook, he was breathing hard. He went towards me. He was awfully bigger than the rest. Black fur, green grass eyes. He started sniffing me, I stood still, ready to kill him at any given moment.
But suddenly he shifted behind me. His hand grabbed my shoulder. I knew something was off, something I would never be able to forget. I felt tingles, electric sparks in my entire body. I gave a gasp. "Mate." He said. His voice so deep, I felt ready to faint. But I didn't.
I turned around to see the most gorgeous, attractive, sex-" Katherine cut me. "We get it." "Alright."
"He was perfect. All I wanted was to be with him. But I couldn't. He was a werewolf and I was a vampire. It would be an abomination to mate with a werewolf. Our blood would be unclean. Therefore I ran that day away from him, a gaping hole in my heart. And I didn't want to go back hunting again.
I had to sacrifice myself in order for my people to continue on with their greatness as the most powerful being in the world. But as the days pass, I found myself thinking about him, it was driving me crazy. So I decided to go back to the forest. When I arrived, it seemed as if they already knew. These werewolves took me to my mate. He was sitting on a throne. A throne of black ice.
He stood up once he saw me. A huge smile on his face. "Mate." he said. I was amazed that he was the King of the werewolves. Alpha of alphas. And yet he was very humble, simple and protective. He introduced himself as Leonardo Di Voldi.
I could never forget him. Even after his death. We grew closer and closer, but we were an impossible love. I was forced into an arranged marriage with David. The now proclaim king.
Years pass, many years, At the beginning he was loving, but I knew that love will never replace the love I had for Leonardo. After some time he knew that I would never give him the love he needed, so he changed completely. He started to force me to do things I didn't want to. When he became the king, my powers didn't affect him anymore, therefore, I was weak at his feet. Nothing I could do. And in order for him to not suspect about Leonardo, I tried to please him with everything.
Although I was married and proclaimed queen, I found a way to always see Leonardo. He swore to me that he would kill David and give me my freedom. Not long before, we mated. And out of that pure love between Leonardo and I, we bear a fruit. You. Katherina.
I couldn't hide the fact that I was pregnant. I was afraid. Very afraid. For you, for everyone. The humans were constantly on our watch, they didn't want another pureblood to be born. David, he thought that we were having a child. He was excited, believing that I would bear him a child. I played around with that idea.
But, one day. Leonardo grew tired. He decided to launch an attack to David. And he did. He was about to win, but the humans interfered. Stating that werewolves were a danger to both humans and vampires. They used different chemicals to kill hundreds of werewolves. It was devastating.
I was only 8 months pregnant when the war between werewolves and vampires ended. The last time I saw your father, he told that he loved me. That I was the best thing that had ever happened to him. And he would fight until his death for my freedom from that monster, David.
But, it was too much for him. He was captured. I was so worried that I went towards the cells not caring that I was extremely pregnant. I went and told him I would do something. His final words were to keep you safe and away from the king. But, David heard everything.
Fill with rage, he stormed into the room, accusing me of my infidelity, in one second he had a weaken Leonardo at his feet. Leonardo fought, but he couldn't fight with so much venom in his body. David... he took his heart out of his chest.
I screamed. I cried. I fell to my knees. I screamed and screamed. No! No! My love! My life! No! No! I was engulfed with sadness and rage. I glared at David. He was laughing. Telling me that this was the punishment and the next one would be that creature inside of me. He would yank it out of my body and kill it in front of me. He was a total monster.
In that moment my bodyguard, Sepherus rushed in, and without any doubt, he hit David in the head, grabbed me in his arms and took me away. On the way to the church, this church, my water broke. I was scared. This wasn't the moment for you to be born.
So we decided to head towards one of the castle's hidden bedrooms instead. I started laboring. My maids helping me. Sepherus guarding my bedroom. I knew David would come. So I tried my best to have you as quickly as possible.
After an hour in labor, You were finally born. You resemble your father greatly. I seal your double nature and made you seem like a child, a human child. I order Sepherus to take you to the human world, but I also sealed everything he had witnessed, because I knew David would come after him. It was a very powerful seal, every time Sepherus would try to speak of you, his neck would break.
I did this because I knew he was your mate. And I don't you to suffer what I suffer at losing my mate. Nothing can replace the constant pain in my heart.
So, he went to the human world, with hesitation, but I compel him to do so. To change his life and guard you against from a distance until you were ready. I knew I would be alone, weak, facing the wrath of David. But I didn't care. I had to do something.
And I did, I created a plan. I drank as much blood as the bodies of my servants had and once I was finished, I was ready to comfort him. He was already close, I could smell him. So I went to his direction.
He saw me and an evil grin grew on his face. He asked me. "Did you lose that filthy bastard?" I landed on my knees, tears streaming from my eyes. "Y...yes." He laughed. And Laughed and laughed. He was growing mad. "Serves you right!" he screamed as he kicked me in the stomach. "You lost everything Ester, and now I will make you pay for cheating on me!" he said grabbing my hair.
"Please...For..give...me. I will be yours without question. Just don't kill me." Taking you out of his mind was the idea. "Show me the baby's body." I knew exactly where I could find a dead baby body. I contacted one of my guardians through my mind-control powers and surely, minutes later he brought a baby boy's body. I ran to it and hugged it. Imagining it was you. David grabbed the baby and threw against a wall. Smash its head.
I screamed because it was still a baby. But it was a human baby after all. After that incident, I became the sex slave for the king. But I never gave him children. I never will. I made a promise to myself. To never give him children.
Even though throughout history the Queen has been the one with the power, I bowed down to him. So that he could forget you so that he wouldn't find you.
He beat me up, used me and threw me away. But I didn't care. It was my way of protecting you and keeping his mind away from Sepherus. And it worked for 18 years.
When I order Sepherus to capture you, I knew it was time for you to know the truth, live as your natures allow you and help both the werewolves and vampires that are minuscule compared to the power we used to have; grow back into our glory.
