As everyone slept, I woke up. Not being able to sleep due to voices in my head really makes me sound crazy. To everyone I am a magnet for dragons, with me they are not safe.
I quickly cut all the saddle straps making them unrideable, before I hop on Aries and fly through the sky at a very high level. I guess it doesn't really matter anymore.
"Rawrrrrrrrr!" I hear the sound of a two dragons following behind me, both have noticable black veins.
"High Aries." I order as she soon soars up. "On three." I say to myself as we quickly fly upwards, "1, 2, 3" I jump off Aries landing on one of the dragons with a surprise attack. I stab the dragon through the back as black blood splashes onto my face. It begins an attempt to buck me off,
"Aries!" I shout as I take my sword out, slicing one of it's wings before jumping back down onto Aries who took care of the second dragon.
"Well that was... easy. Most likely Earth Dragons, their wings weren't strong."
I look around noticing the large mountain range, I could already feel the cool air, and sense the metal.
I eventually land, noticing only one cave. One only.
"Come on Aries. I am not leaving you out here," I walk into the cave, noticing Aries hesitating. "What's wrong?" I walk back towards her.
I touch her head as my mind is filled with... I don't even know what it is. It is clouded, it tells me to stay away. I raise my hand off her head.
"I see." I look down, "Well then, stay here. I shouldn't be too long. Stay hidden."
I begin to walk in without her.
As I walk in closer, it is harder to see. I can barely see anything.
"Where am I? This was such a stupid id-"
All of a sudden I begin to fall, slide down a steep slope. I scream as I feel my clothing being torn.
I hit the ground.
My eyes closed. I can't stand to open them... knowing I will be still in the dark... still alone... and stuck.
"I'm sorry..." I mutter, confessing to myself. "I messed up. Again. I don't know anything of what is going on. I don't know why. Just please...someone, something guide me."
I slowly open my eyes to see a slight glow coming from my hands.
"No...no way." I sit up to admire my hands, glowing yelllow...no... glowing gold. "My element... it has to be light."
"Elena..." I hear a voice, it sounds so close, yet so far, it sound familiar.
"Who are you?"
"Elena... you are too close to give up. I believe in who you are."
"Please tell me! Who are you? Who am I? What is going on?"
"Some things are best left unknown. For who I am, I am you, but less. You are closer than you think, you know more then you can see. Go."
"No, wait!" I yell as the voice fades.
I can now see. The cave is a dark blue grey shade, it is old, dark, but now I can see.
I begin to make way down the cave, following the only path left.
"Elena!" I hear an echo, I turn to see light following me. They noticed!
I begin to run, if they find me they will stop me.
"I see you! Don't run!" I hear it is Ashton. Why him?
"Leave me! I am fine!" I shout.
"Wait-!" I hear him as he slips down the slope.
THUD.
I stop to see him laying on the ground, knocked out of course.
I sigh as I walk over towards him.
"He is fine. Why am I staying? What am I doing?" I sit down leaning against the very steep sloped wall. I lift his head to lay on my legs as a pillow.
I don't even know what I am doing.
I stare down at him, moving his hair so I can see his face.
"Why are you always doing this? Getting hurt because you chase me. And why am I always here to save you in the end? It is a bit funny isn't it? It would be nice. To have just someone to believe that I can do something. I know I am stupid... not brave... not talented, and always in the dark. I don't know why, but I secretly do. I do stupid things. Like this. I love my brother, so I will chase him until he comes home but also love-" I stop myself, "What am I doing? I need to find this metal, and use it to kill Dracul, find my brother and return to normal."
"Sounds like a plan." I look down to see his eyes slowly open.
"Your awake sleeping beauty?"
"ah, whatever." he sits up scratching his head.
"Where are the others?" I ask,
"They don't know I left, nor do they know you left."
"Good." he helps me up.
"You know some of us care."
"I also know that you care too much. So much you keep secrets, and fight my battles."
I begin to walk down.
"That glow... what is-?" He notices,
"Seems my element awakened, Light." I stop to show,
"Light. Wow,"
"What?"
"Well light isn't just a throw up element, it is pretty rare."
"What is yours?" I question,
"Fire." He holds his hand up as a few flames shoot out. "It is like third most common,"
"It is still useful."
"Well yeh, but rare means stronger. Seems you will be protecting me."
"Don't I already?"
I keep walking futher into the cave.
"Where are you going?!" He shouts,
"To save the world," He chases after me, "Where are you going?"
"With you."
"Weren't you meant to bring me back?"
"If you can't convince a crazy chick to go back, you escort them forward."
"I like that saying,"
Eventually, we reach the end of the cave.
"What?" I say noticing nothing is in here. "This can't be it." I walk around, trying to feel the wall... I don't know what for... but for something.
"Elena... there might be another cave. We should head back."
"No. This is it. It has to be."
I touch the wall, senseing something.
In my head a clear wave. A sound, a simple feeling, like there was something.
I punch the wall.
"Elena!" He rushes over to grab my hand. "What?" He sees no wounds. "What are you doing?"
"There is something here."
"Let me try." He walks to where I stand, "I can't believe I am about to punch a rock wall. You drive me insane."
"Yeah, yeah, just do it."
"Here I go."
I watch as he completely changes personality. From Ashton to... I don't know, he is focused.
"Argh!" He yells as flames from his fist as he hits the wall. A dust cloud fill the room. The dusts clears to see a hole in the wall.
I rush over to see the hole is a tunnel,
"This is it." I say. "Come on." I begin to crawl through the small tunnel.
"What? I am not going in there! Are you crazy?"
"Do you wan't Jackson back?"
"Um. Not that bad,"
"Ashton."
"Fine. I'm coming."
We both crawl through the tunnel, I see light at the end. Is someone here? Or is it...
I reach the end to see such a beautiful sight.
Clear, glowing light blue water, grass, how is there grass? and all around the walls is crystal like I have never seen. So many colours, amazing. Our breaths are taken.
This is it.
