Demi's POV
"Who...Who are you.?" she said it kept repeating in my head and I felt tears rush into my eyes she looks around some more and the doctor comes in and says
"Good you're awake how are you feeling.?" said Doctor Anderson
"Where am I what happened to me and who are you.?" she said
"Oh no..." said Doctor Anderson
"Ms Lovato can I talk to you outside for just a minute.?" Dr Anderson said
I nod and I wipe my tears away and we meet in the hallway and I ask him in a serious but shaky tone
"Why can't she remember anything she doesn't remember who I am or how she got here." I said
"It must have been the seizure after a traumatic event the brain can act in so many different ways in her case she has amnesia and it can take days,months or maybe years for her to gain her memory back." he says
"Is there anything I can do to help her gain it back faster.?" I said
"You can show her pictures of you two together or something familiar to see if her brain can pick up on it but only time will tell how long it takes her memory to come back." he says
"What about Hailey will she be okay.?" I ask
"Her vital signs show that she's recovering slowly but she hasn't woken up yet." He says
"Doctor I need to ask you something." said Alex from her room
We walk back in and Alex looks around and says
"Do my parents know I'm here or my friends.?" she asks
"Yes they do and Hailey is in the trauma center upstairs and Demi is here as well." he says
"What happened to Hailey.?! and I'm sorry but I don't know who Demi is.?" she says
"You both were shot Hailey took a bullet for you and you took a bullet for me." I said
Alex looks at me in shock she doesn't say anything and she gets up from her bed and walks away and she doesn't look back.
Alex's POV
I don't what happened I don't remember how I got here and who was Demi and how does she know me so well.? I walk to the trauma center and I ask the nurse
"Is my friend Hailey here Doctor Anderson said she was in the trauma center.?" I said
"She's in room 219." she says
"Thank you." I say
I use all my strength to walk towards Hailey's room and once I reach her room I saw her strapped to all these machines and I let a tear fall I walk over to her and I hold her hand and say
"Hey Hailey umm I heard what you did for me and umm you saved my life you-you've could've died Hailey but you took that bullet for me and I will be forever grateful that you truly are my best friend and I promise to always love you and stick by you forever just how we promised eachother when we were kids Me,You and Marley I don't know where Jennifer,Jolene and Perla are but if they were here they would agree with me by knowing you're the best friend we could ever ask for. I know you always liked it when I sang to you especially this song and this is for you Hailey because I love you...

I let a tear fall wishing she would wake up
"That was beautiful." I hear someone say
I was still facing Hailey and I said
Thanks she always liked it when I sang to her." I turn around and it was the girl who was in my room but I couldn't remember her name.
Demi's POV
I walk inside Hailey's room and I hear Alex singing I smiled hearing her voice again after she's done I say
"That was beautiful."
"Thanks she always liked it when I sang to her." she said back
"Alex.?" I said
"Yeah.?" she said
"What's the last thing you remember.?" I said to her
"I don't remember how I got here all I remember was seeing my friends and we just finished the first day of practice and I woke up here." she said
I let a tear fall and she notices and she walks over to me and hugs me and feeling her in my arms again made everything better even if she didn't remember me I still felt the love just through that small hug.
"Thanks." I said
"Is it true.?"
"Is what true.?" I said back
"That I took a bullet for you.? That I saved you back there.?"
"Yes you did and I'll aways love you for that even if you don't remember who I am just know I'll always love you." I said to her
I hug her one last time and I was walking out of the room and I feel her gently grab my arm
"Wait.!" she said
I turn around hoping she remembered me and she said
"If I took a bullet for you that has to mean something doesn't it I saved you for a reason even if I don't know or remember who you are I don't want you walking out of my life." she said
I let another tear fall and I hugged her and kissed her on the cheek and I notice her smile and I said
"The Doctor said you can come home now want me to take you.?" I said
she looks over at Hailey and she said
"Yeah I'll visit her later once I get some rest or something it's not a bother right you don't have to take me home." she said
"I want to besides it's on my way to mine anyway so it wouldn't be a bother." I said
she smiles at me and I stick my hand out and she holds onto it and we're walking out of the hospital hand in hand.
