Max's pov
I really hope that while I'm at his house I can get some questions in, and maybe even some answers. I look through my phone and end up choosing my chill playlist. I push play and put it back in my pocket "Take my hand lets go. Somewhere we can rest our souls we'll sit where its warm. You say look we're here alone-" We finally arrive at the house and Ross turns to me "My parents are out on a business trip and my sister is at a friends so we have the house to ourselves." Hey I guess the song was right, we are here alone.
Ross's pov
I open the door to my house and step aside for Max to come through. Oh god why did I invite him over? I have so much work to do around the house and I'm certain the bills will have to be paid soon. What about groceries? I need to get those too, and I have work tommorow morning so I can't stay up late. Ugh why didnt I THINK before I spoke!? I looked at the clock, it read 4:30. I have to be in bed by 9:00 so I have a few hours. But how will I explain it to Max? What if he sees through my lies? I'm soon brought back to reality when Max snaps his fingers in my face. "ROOOSSSSS!!" I shake my head to clear it and look at him puzzled. "Ive been tring to get your attention for like five minutes man." I smile awkwardly "Sorry. Just lost in thought I guess." I let out a breath and shook my head "... Anyways, how about we just go play some runescape?" I ask as I walk past him twords my room. But instead of walking forward I'm yanked back by my wrist. Max looks me in the eyes and says "Ross I need you to tell me the truth. Where is your family really? And what happened to you?"
