"Hands up!"
"Officer Yi! What are you doing?!"
"Hey now!"
"He's a kid!"
"Up boy!"
Frightened Jimin obeyed the woman, he rose with his hands up in the air. The woman put her gun away and out came handcuffs. Jimin stared at them confused and shocked, just before they could even be close to his skin Jumnyeon blocked him from them.
"What do you think you're doing!?" He screamed to the woman, slowly he pushed Jimin back with his own body. Arms of the stranger whose name he'd learned to be Minhyuk wrapped around his shoulders protectively. He could see from the corner of his eyes as Hoseok walked besides Jumnyeon to protect him from the officers. Next the sound of the entrance door slamming shut echoed throughout the room, then it's lock. Jimin eyes darted that way to find Jungkook glaring at the two intruders through furrowed eyebrows.
"Please move away from the boy!"
"You have no reason to have held up your weapon! There was no threat! I can have you arrested for raising a gun to a minor!" Jumnyeon screamed at the woman. The man besides her pulled her back, he muttered an apology for his partner's actions yet in a way defended them.
"Officer Yi did not cause such ruckus for no reason."
"The young man fits the description of the other suspect perfectly. Short, pink hair, and petite. Not to mention you appear to be wearing very similar attire as the description given. I believe perhaps the witness confused the directions the suspects went off in. Not to mention you look nervous from our presence." The woman said sternly.
"Excuse me?! He has been with me all evening, that is impossible! That still does not validate you raising your gun to him!"
The situation unfolded and ended with Jimin sitting in front of the officers, Minhyuk and Hoseok at his side. At the sides of officers were Jumnyeon and Jungkook watching them closely through eyes of anger. The young boy gulped as he shrunk back from the intimidating gazes of the officers, his mind was in chaos. After giving his basic information they began interrogating him.
"Where were you from nine to nine thirty?"
"With me." Hoseok and Jungkook responded in unison.
"I was with them at...a friend's house watching television." Jimin lied. As he stared into the eyes of the woman who caused a storm of annoyance in him an unexpected feeling came over him. It was the feeling of triumphant like right before he'd correct one of his bullies during class, it made him feel superior. He wanted nothing more than to humiliate the woman which was odd for he feared her. Jimin attempted to push the sudden urge away but failed when she spoke again.
"What show-"
"I don't know, I fell asleep with Hoseokie Hyung and Kookie was doing homework." Jimin said innocently before gazed at Hoseok who nodded in agreement. "I just got here like ten minutes ago, I came to see Jumnie Hyung. I was hungry and I knew he'd feed me, I had no idea of what was going on down the block."
He suppressed a smile at her face of annoyance, clearly his choice of a sweet tone to answer was not exactly appreciated.
Officer Rhie nodded his head, "Then why so nervous when you saw us kid?"
"I don't like cops-"
"What he means to say is that he's afraid of guns, they freak him out." Hoseok interrupted him from finishing "He was reaching over to grab my hand for comfort, he's a boy, what do you expect?"
The officers exchanged looks then turned around and moved away from the men to discuss in whispers. Jimin stared up at Hoseok with his innocent eyes, the man rubbed his shoulder in response. They waited a while, it was silent for awhile until they heard the sound of a vehicle's engine. Everyone's eyes darted to the door, they all froze as they heard the car suffering to get going.
"We apologize for all the inconveniences and the unforgivable behavior of officer Yi. We'll be needing see the security footage for reassurance. We'll be on our way as soon as we see his alibi checks out."
Jimin's eyes widened in fear but before anyone else could notice them, Jumnyeon had pushed his face against his side. The man held his head tightly against himself as he stroked his hair.
"He's a bit of a jumpy kid." Jumnyeon chuckled nervously. "Minnie why don't you take him outside to get some fresh air while I sort things out with the officers."
The seventeen year old was dragged away by the sliver haired man to the sidewalk. They exited the building as quick as possible and without opening the door fully. Yoongi's car remained in it's spot, his face was scrunched up as he leaned forward. Minhyuk was the first to run towards the trio in the vehicle.
"Get out. Leave the car." He said as he opened the door.
"It'll turn on. Just a few more-"
Jimin hurried towards Yoongi. "Hyung you need to go."
He exchanged a concerned look with the man before he gave in with a sigh. Out he stepped from the car and in front of the young boy.
"Everything alright in there?"
"No, they're asking for evidence I was there during the time of the crime. Hyung is stalling them, you need to go now. Like right-"
"Why would they be asking for your-"
Jimin cut him off with his forced interlocking of their lips. "Go now please."
The man did not question him no more. He took off running down the block just as the door opened to reveal the two officers. Jimin did not hesitate to run up to them, blocking them from leaving the cornered space just like Minhyuk had done.
"I-Is everything alright officers?"
The woman daring gaze remained the same as it had when she first made eye contact with the boy. It was officer Rhie who answered his question.
"Guess you can say that, you have a goodnight now boy. Take care."
Minhyuk held his hands up rather quickly as they tried to get them to move out of the way. "Wh-What ha-happens now? Is Jimin no longer a suspect, or...?"
The officers exchanged a quick glance. "Speak with the owner, we came to an agreement. Now please let us through, we do not have all night to answer questions."
The two obeyed, they wished the officers goodnight as they walked away. They planted themselves in that spot until they were no longer in sight, both the cops and the three runners. Once the coast was clear they rejoined with the men inside.
"Is everything alright? Did you show them the footage?" Minhyuk asked fearfully as he locked up the place once more. The pale faces of two were only present, they each looked at one thing in the room, a security camera.
"Not exactly." Hoseok said. "We told none of the cameras are working. They weren't buying it so we had to blackmail them a tiny bit."
"You did what?!"
"Blackmailed them Minnie." Jumnyeon sighed. "We told them we wouldn't report the gun thing if they didn't say anything about the cameras. We may have said a few other things but that doesn't matter, we have to get out of here."
Jimin could see in their distressed faces that they were not going to explain exactly what threats they had made but he knew they were effective ones considering they worked on cops. He kept silent as Minhyuk and Jumnyeon disappeared in the back and Jungkook returned.
"I'll be going now, I have to go meet someone." He said, eyes on his phone as he headed for the front of the restaurant. Hoseok stretched out arm stopped him from making it to the door.
"You're not going anywhere, you heard Yoongi. Quit being a brat and sit down."
"Let me go Hyung." Jungkook whined as he tried prying off the strong arm that wrapped around his waist. "I have to go meet someone!"
"Who the hell do you have to meet so late boy?!" Hoseok raised his voice. He stood up now, a frown appeared on his face just when his eyebrows furrowed in frustration. With a single movement he pushed back the angry fifteen year old. "I've already had one fight today, don't make have another one Jeon Jungkook."
The said boy pressed his tongue against his cheek while looking away coldly. He chuckled before walking towards him but the swerving him to try to get through. He succeeded, however he wasn't able to make it to the door for Hoseok hand pulled him back from doing so.
"Did you not hear me the first time? I said you're not going anywhere."
"Let go!"
The younger struggled in the grasp of the twenty three year old until he pushed down to a chair. Hoseok leaned against the table, his eyes darken as he asked the boy who he was meeting. He was curious to know just who the mysterious person that had the boy so caught up in them that he dared disobey the orders of his superior. Anger was bubbling within both as the question lingered in the air. The tense atmosphere was broken by the interruption of the seventeen year old who had watched the scene unfold.
"It's my brother isn't it?"
