Now i was back in Arthur's room pretending to look through spells that could save Arthur when the warning bell went. i looked up for my 'reading' when Gwaine entered the room.
"are you alright?" he asked Gwen went up to him
"yes" she answered
"you haven't seen anything heard anything" he questioned
"no why"
"there is a intruder within the walls" Gwaine informed us.
"what here in the citadel" she replied
"yes my lady"
'Alexandra I'm behind the curtain you need to get rid of Gwen and Gwaine now' i look to the curtain and saw it twitching i looked back over to Gaius who saw it as well he gave me a small nod.
"my lady, you may be in danger. Gwaine will take you to the guest chambers. he'll ensure no harm comes to you" Gaius stated
"why would anyone wish me harm" she questions
"because you are not able to fully protect yourself unlike myself. go before someone comes" i add
"i can't leave Arthur not now"
"I'm close to finding a spell once there is any news Gaius will come fetch you"
"they are right my lady come you are not safe" Gwaine take Gwen and leaves i sigh in relief Merlin comes from behind the curtain.
"how did you get there" i ask him.
"don't ask" he shakes his head "how is he"
"his heart has nearly stopped i fear he is near to death" Gaius informs him.
"what do we need to do?" i ask Merlin he checks Arthurs heart
"place you hands on Arthurs chest" i did as i was told and he put his hands over mine "then say the spell with me
"Ic the thurhaele thinu licsar mid thamsundorcraeft thaere ealdan ae!" we say as we push down on his chest. we back away once we feel the spell is done. Gaius checks his pulse but gives us a grave look and i begin to cry.
"Alexia" he groans and i let out a nervously laugh and sigh of relief
"well done you two well done." he hugs up both. "Merlin you better get back to your chambers before anyone notices" Gaius tells him.
"how am i supposed to do that with guard on every floor and stairwell" he wonders
"obviously" he leaves the same way he came in and we both went back to my brother.

the next morning i opens the door to Merlin's chambers where he is sleeping.
"Morning Merlin" he shift and wakes up with a smile.
"if you have a moment the King would like to speak with the both of you" Gwaine adds Merlin gets out of bed and escorts me to my brothers chambers where we were not a few hours ago. he knocks on the door
"come in" we enter "Merlin! this is possibly one out of two maybe three times in my life I'm actually glad to see you." i went and took a seat next to my brother.
"my thought's exactly Arthur, how are you feeling?" Merlin asked
"like death well death warmed up" he gestured for him to sit down
"i can imagine"
"humm well it seems as if we've both been a bit through an ordeal but thanks to my sister here who saved you from a night in the cells...which reminds me." he kisses my cheek.
"thank you for saving my life." i smile
"it was both of us but between me and you everyone else apart from gaius should believe it was me. Due to the law that Merlin was in my protection could not come to this side of the castle and all that." i reply
"thank you as well Merlin. And as soon as i heard i had it lifted and the cook confirmed you alibi"
"thank you Arthur."
"i also told them you simply wasn't bright enough to organise a assassination attempt " i laughed
"same thing i said to you while you were comatose" i giggled
"Arthur there is something i need to talk with you about" i knew he wanted to tell him about Gwen.
"sorry Merlin another time thanks to Guinevere some new evidence has come to light" he got and held out his hand for me i took and he led me out of his chambers Merlin followed behind.
